Know the area well as my family has a home on Friends Lake, but we often all want to be up there at the same time so delighted to find the Roost. Clean and with anything you need handy, we had a delightful experience.

Great place to stay! Home was well appointed and extremely clean!! It was great to have 2 bedrooms with their own bathrooms and the kids shared a bathroom. Would highly recommend.

We had a fantastic stay. The house was very roomy and perfect for our large family. The dock was great for fishing and swimming. The kitchen was very well stocked with anything needed to cook a meal. The host was very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend staying here.

A beautiful and tranquil home right on the lake. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed- kitchen utensils, games, and kayaks. Cynthia was a very accommodating and kind host who was available via chat any time we had a question. My friends and I had a blast and we will return again.

Great spot for our family vacation!

We’ve gone away for a week with my cousin and his family for 10 years. This was one of our favorite houses. It was very clean and offered all the amenities we needed. The kids and adults loved fishing off the dock and kayaks and canoes were great for cruising around on the water.

This is our second time staying here. We just love the property. The view is spectacular! Close to Lake George, restaurants and shopping. We had a wonderful time!

Blessed Memorial Day celebration with Family

Our family had a wonderful time celebrating Memorial Day weekend At The Roost , everything was so beautiful . The surroundings , the lake .. We love the serenity of the place . It was so spacious and we are all comfortable. Our host is very nice and so helpful too. It was a truly perfect place for us for a family getaway. We will sure come back to this place .

Summer family time

The property was perfectly located for peace and quiet. It’s located on a lake which allows for nature sounds. There is fresh water fish in the lake and it is so clear you can see the fish swimming in the water.

Great time at The Roost

We go to the beach every year but wanted this year to be different! The cabin was very clean, had all the amenities we needed, plus a great quiet location! Tripp lake had tons of fish and not at all crowded. ! The manager was very prompt in reaching out when we had a question. Highly recommended

Just wonderful

We found The Roost to be perfect for our long weekend. It was very spacious and had everything we needed. The lake war calm and peaceful, perfect for trying out kayaking and refreshing our canoeing skills and we didn’t even mind ( too much) when it rained. The owner was very communicative. Thinking of returning!

The house was perfect. The lake was amazing!

The whole experience was so perfect. There were two families who went. The parents took the rooms upstairs and the teens were down stairs. We fit perfectly. The house was very clean. Can’t wait till next year.

Family vacation

Beautiful house with comfortable living areas and bedrooms with great views .The kitchen was great , just bring food to cook! Propane bbq grill worked great and firepit was nice. Great location with a quiet lake steps down from the house. Nice golf course directly across the street with little to no wait to play. Great location, close to Lake George. No complaints.

Between Lake George and Schroon Lake -well appointed home.

This is a well equipped home with 2 master en-suite bathrooms and lower level full bath for remaining 2 bedrooms. Anything I needed to prepare full meals for our party of 8 was available. We did lose electricity for about 6 hours due to a fallen tree down the road but the host was in frequent communication to assist with needs and concerns. We enjoyed the pond and the deck as well as the canoe and kayaks. Several of us walked across to the golf course and played on the 9 hole course. We would stay here again.

Sept. 2024 Vacation at the Roost

We spent a week at the Roost in September and had a wonderful time. Communication with the owner was easy and responsive. We had no need to contact the owner during our stay - everything worked as expected. The house is very clean and very well stocked with everything you would need during a stay. The property is in a very quiet and peaceful setting with easy access to the beautiful lake and the kayaks and canoe made exploring the lake (and fishing) a lot of fun. There is even a fire pit with plenty of seating for making smores and viewing the stars. Google maps took us right to the driveway entrance. This is a great property for vacationing with friends and family. Supermarkets are close by as well as a gold course if you like to play. I fully intend to return in the future with more family!

Such a Nice Weekend Get Away

Such a beautiful and private location. Perfect for a small, relaxing, family get together. The view and foliage were absolutely stunning. Kayaks and Canoe were excellent. Fire pit set up was great. The cabin itself is beautiful, but I noticed there were a lot of cob webs and flies, which bothered me. There were also a lot of dead bugs inside of the kitchen light over the island, which was gross and there were multiple light bulbs out throughout the house, but other than that it was very nice.
