Modernt stuga i Shaldon Village, nära stranden 110 meter och bekvämligheter. Färja till Teignmouth bara 150 meter bort.

Boendet består av en lounge / matsal, gungstol, matchande stol och bäddsoffa, utdragbart matbord för 6, högt uppdragsgolv med spel, bra urval av böcker och DVD, Wi-Fi-anslutning, TV-enhet med platt skärm SMART TV- och DVD-spelare, bordslampa, linnekista och standardlampa och vägghängda speglar och alla möblerade i ett maritimt tema.

En bottenvåning W. C. och handfat, ett inbyggt underskåp skåp nås från loungen

Köket är utrustat med matchande bas- och väggenheter, kylskåp med frysfack, tvättmaskin, fläkt elektrisk ugn med gasspis, mikrovågsugn, vattenkokare, brödrost, kastrullar, stekpanna, bestick, 6 uppsättningar bestick, porslin och glas, gryta set, placera mattor och en golvstående hyllenhet för skålar och en väggklocka, avfallsbehållare, dammskåp & borste och dammsugare, brödbehållare.

Franska dörrar från köket leder till en liten avskild söderläge dekorerad terrass / uteplats med bord och stolar och växter. Detta mysiga område är en solfälla som är idealisk för frukost eller kvällsmat och ett glas vin.

Den matta trappuppgången leder upp från loungen med en rostfritt stål och räckvidd av rostfritt stål som fortsätter längs landningen. Landningen är mattor och har en stor vit byrå.

Utanför landningen finns ett modernt badrum. Det finns ett krökt badkar med dusch över, rostfritt stål vägghandduksradiator, toalett och handfat. Ett medicinskåp är bekvämt placerat på hög nivå med en spegel framtill och ett stort förvaringsskåp finns tillgängligt för handdukar under fönstret.

Det stora sovrummet har en dubbelsäng med en skummadrass, färdigställd i blått och vitt sänglinne, sänglampor och en vägghängd TV vid foten av sängen, det finns en garderob och attraktiva förvaringskorgar. Det andra sovrummet, som också är färdigt i blått och vitt sänglinne, har två enkelsängar med garderob, sängbord och bordslampa.

På vägparkering finns direkt utanför stugan under en begränsad tid, med gratis dagsparkering runt Bowling Green 50 meter bort eller i byns parkeringsplats vid Ness mot en avgift.

Stugan är perfekt belägen centralt i byn med lokala butiker, kaféer, pubar och restauranger bara en promenad bort i en riktning och stranden och färjan i den andra riktningen.

Lovely spot, very comfortable and welcoming.

We really enjoyed our stay and will be returning. Very convenient for the beach and the property is even roomier than it seems from the photos. Our only niggle was that the expelair in the bathroom was very noisy. Would recommend.

Perfect Family Holiday

Excellent property and very nice decor. Location was fabulous. Only downside was the parking which we were made aware of prior to arrival. Would be nice if you could buy a permit for your stay, although we didn't see a traffic warden it was always on the back of your mind.

Great holiday in shaldon

Unfortunately there was a mix up regarding our arrival. The cottage wasn't ready for us and sadly beds not made or cottage clean. However the host soon sorted this and the cottage was cleaned the following day. The host was very apologetic and compensated us! Despite the mix up we had a fantastic holiday and would definitely return.It was an innocent mistake and feel sure it was a one off! The cottage was warm and comfortable. It was well equipped and in a great location. We can't wait to visit again..

Quiet Harbourside retreat

We had gorgeous weather, and this cottage was perfect for getting out and about on the SW Coast Path and Dartmoor. Also lovely to be able to pop down to the harbour of an evening (literally 2 minutes away). I think the cottage may feel a bit small if the weather stopped you getting out. The kitchen was perfectly adequate, although frying pans could do with replacing. Everything was cleaned beautifully, The beds were very comfortable. The settee not as much! We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it as a base for getting out and about. The welcoming wine bottles were also gratefully received. Thank you.

Pefect for a break by the sea

The house is delightful, well arranged and equipped. We loved being so near the estuary and the sea; as well as the village green and bowls. The village is very well served by all sorts of amenities, and we would definitely consider coming here again. Weather was good too, and we loved the passenger ferry across to Teignmouth. Thank you to John and Kathy!

Great week had by all

Enjoyable stay at cottage for a week. Lovely home from home for our stay. Plenty of places to eat and drink within walking distance and a short ferry ride to Teignmouth gives even more options. Well situated and plenty to explore without even moving the car I.e zoo, botanical gardens, Teignmouth town and beach. Ness cove beautiful and great for paddle boarding.

Excellent Stay

Checked in with no issues. Nice clean and tidy property. Wi-Fi very good, bed very comfortable, good cooking facilities and in a great location. The London Inn is very close by and will serve drinks on the village green if the outside tables are full. Food there is excellent and good Covid measures. Parking is restricted in the village but the car park at the Ness is cheap enough and we had no issues parking there overnight a few times when the spaces around the village green were all taken. It’s a lovely spot and we really enjoyed our week there.

Exactly what is said on the Tin

Classic Shaldon cottage, beautifully maintained by the owners, Great location in the centre of the village with easy access to Teignmouth and the surrounding Devon countryside, close to both the London Inn and the Ferryboat pub who both offer a variety of food and drinks, As always in Shaldon parking is an issue, but that is small price to pay, Oh and remember to bring your own towels- which was pointed out by the owners but missed by yours truly. It is highly likely that we will return to Shaldon regularly and this little gem will always figure on my wish list.

We are private owners of a unique property which we originally bought to enjoy a seaside break in a quiet location.

We love coming down to Shaldon, but we are still both working and run our own architectural and surveying practice where we live in Woking, Surrey and therefore have not used the Cottage as much as we would like. However, we still set aside some weeks in the holiday season for our own enjoyment which we hope others will share.

Shaldon is a quaint welcoming village which seems in a time warp and offers the opportunity for a quiet and relaxing Holiday.
Shaldon is one of those old fashioned communities where the locals say good morning and life continues at Its own pace.

Historically the property was the local greengrocers, but was recently purchased and developed by a local builder and extended from a single storey shop Into a double storey cottage. The first floor and roof are an extension erected in 2011/12 and the windows, fabric and services within the property are all newly renovated and installed in 2012. We have made several alterations to maximise the accommodation and furnished the cottage for our own enjoyment.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

The Cottage has level access and is quite unique which is apparent from when you first open the front door to reveal the layout and unusual stainless steel and plate glass balustrade.

The rear patio/terrace is secluded where you can enjoy breakfast or an evening supper and glass of wine for a quiet evening in or a short walk to sample the many pubs and restaurants nearby within easy level walking distance.
