Morrison street eco house är ett nybyggt, helt fristående privat trädgård pensionat i en lugn, vackert anlagd miljö i ett nära till stadsdelen grannskapet. Två sovrum och mästare bad på övervåningen. Halv bad nere. High end kök. Ett kvarter till Belmont restauranger och affärer och kort promenad till Laurelhurst Park & Hawthorne detaljhandeln. Perfekt för singlar / par, affärsresenärer eller små grupper av familjer eller vänner. Lämplig för familjer med icke-krypande spädbarn och / eller barn i åldern 3+.

OM RUMMET
Eco-huset är en separat 800-fots fot hemma nås genom en innergård utöver huvudhuset. Lätt och luftigt och med återvunnet trä, är huset byggt för miljöhållbarhet och energieffektivitet med exceptionell inomhusluftkvalitet. Huset har ekgolv överallt, låga VOC-ytor, träfönster, bjälgspetsar och skåp i hela.

Huset har två sovrum och master bad på övervåningen och ett halvt bad nere. Huset har ett högeffektivt uppvärmnings- / kylsystem för komfort året runt. Utrymmet har ett fullt utrustat kök med nya rostfria vitvaror och bänkskivor i granit. Te och kaffebönor tillhandahålls. Ytterligare matvaror kan köpas i närheten av närbutikerna: New Seasons Market och Hawthorne Fred Meyer.

Vardagsrummet har franska dörrar som öppnar ut mot gården. Ett stort matbord ger också ett bekvämt arbetsbord för arbetsplatsen som ska användas med det dedikerade Wi-Fi-nätverket. Sommargäster kan njuta av kylan av luftkonditionering. Sovrummen har vita ek golv, queen sängar med helt nya natur latex madrasser för komfort, hälsa och miljö hållbarhet. Supermjuka 100% bomullslakan finns för din komfort. För att upprätthålla gästens integritet och komfort finns det nyanser på alla fönster. Befälhavaren badrummet ligger intill sovrummen och har en full storlek kaklat dusch och stort handfat med keramisk bänkskiva. Huset innehåller också frontlast tvättmaskin och torktumlare. Ligger nära till centrum, är grannskapet walkable till allt. Zipcars är också bekvämt beläget några kvarter bort och busshållplatsen för 10 minuters resa downtown är ett kvarter söderut.

Such a gem

This was one of our favorite places that we've stayed. It's not large but it's a great use of space. Our family of four spent a great long weekend there. Stylish and clean, great location in the city, and easy check-in/communication. Highly recommend.

Comfy Cozy Cottage

We had an amazing stay in this well appointed home. It was so clean, convenient and perfect for two adults. We loved all the wood, and decor. It felt like a true getaway. Just a short walk to coffee, restauarants and bars. Would rent again!

Clean, Cozy, Great Location

We stayed in the Eco cottage over a long weekend while visiting family in Portland. This property was beautiful and very well equipped with all we needed. Beds and linens were great. It was perfectly located near great restaurants and walking trails. We will definitely return again.

My wife and I and 17 year old had a great stay. Hosts were very welcoming and responsive to minor issues (light bulbs out and missing kitchen utensil). I would stay here again.

The home is so comfortable and has everything you need to feel at home away from home. The neighborhood is gorgeous and walkable to many restaurants and other attractions. Dan was responsive and accommodating. We highly recommend a visit here!

The cottage was delightful-- beautifully crafted, set back in quiet backyard with everything we could possibly need ( with the exception of a blender perhaps!). We really enjoyed our stay here and would love to return.

All the Stars!!! Perfect Spot, Place & Host

The inside was spotless with great PNW vibes. Everything you could want is in quick walking distance and it was also within a convenient drive to the airport. Our host was so friendly and accommodating. He even helped let us in when we arrived in the dark and gave us some flexibility on checkout time as well. Highly recommend.

Lovely house in a great location

House is very nice, accurately described in the listing. Full kitchen with dining room table, small tv watching area with a couch, half bath, all downstairs. Upstairs a full bath and one bigger bedroom, one smaller bedroom. Large closets. Nice wood finishes. Washer/Dryer upstairs. Owners very friendly but not intrusive. Location is perfect, just a few blocks from eating/drinking/shopping areas, short drive from airport. No outdoor space if you require that, we did not. Would stay in this house again without hesitation.

Perfect base for exploring Portland

We decided to take a week to explore Portland while our grade-school-age son was on spring break this year. This detached unit was the perfect spot for that -- it's just as beautiful, quiet, and comfortable as the pictures indicate. And unlike a lot of similar rentals, it doesn't feel cookie-cutter at all -- you can see the attention to detail and homey touches throughout. The neighborhood is a charmer for sure, and it left us feeling like we could choose our own adventure every day -- either exploring this corner of SE Portland, taking the bus into Portland proper, or picking up a Zipcar to range farther afield for day trips. We would happily stay here again!

Cozy, comfortable cottage

The eco-cottage was the perfect spot to land for my week-long visit in Portland. It is conveniently-located and within walking distance to fabulous restaurants, coffee shops, and other attractions that make Portland unique. The cottage feels so warm and homey, with lots of windows and beautiful wood and artwork throughout. We had everything we could have ever wanted/needed and we had excellent communication from our hosts. From our early arrival to our late departure, Dan went out of his way to accommodate our special requests and make our trip more enjoyable than we could have imagined. We especially loved the flowers and cherry tomatoes (so yuymmy!) that grew in front of the main house. I would highly recommend this place!

Wonderful property, sweet and available hosts, very comfortably appointed home, fun, but still quiet neighborhood and absolutely gorgeous construction. One note to anyone with mobility needs and/or multiple, heavy suitcases, the path to the entrance isn’t solid. It’s not far though and for us, absolutely worth the extra couple trips at the beginning and end of our stay. Looking forward to staying here next time we’re in town and highly recommend!

Portland Perfect

This was my second time staying at the eco-cottage and it was great! The cottage is beautifully constructed and a perfect place for 1 adult as well as a 16 year old experiencing the big city for the first time. Easy walk to Hawthorne Street where a lot is happening, and quick trip into downtown Portland for sightseeing and work meetings. Bonus - we had an electric car rental and needed to charge up overnight which we were able to do at the location as the property owner has their own electric car - I was very grateful to be able to use it. Thank you!

Lovely modern cottage

Just perfect for what we wanted, getting together with NY son and his partner. Ductless AC i n each room, and a large kitchen, living area with windows in 4 directions downstairs. Comfy couch, and a dining table seating 6. We never really used the kitchen since the neighborhood has a lot of excellent restaurants, most with delivery service. The only down side was parking, but we always found spots within a short distance, and the owner let us use his driveway for loading and unloading, and once over night.

Aesthetic and Simple

This home has a wonderful feel of Northwest style and craftsman charm. Built with salvaged timber, huge solid beams hold the roof over comfortable open spaces, with soft beds and warm bedrooms. We often found ourselves simply looking around and marveling at the care that went into the building of the space. It is in a word – lovely. And usable. The kitchen and dining space is just right for coffee in the morning or everything you need to make an evening meal. The neighborhood is quiet with friendly neighbors and songbirds, yet only 5 blocks from quirky Hawthorne and 1 – 3 blocks to even quirkier Belmont. Even better was that our hosts graciously let us use their EV charging unit – thank you!

Best rental

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay here while we moved her back into her dorm. Lots of room for the two of us. Everything is so new, fresh and clean in the cottage. Super comfortable beds. Convenient laundry (not huge machines but very capable). We met one of the owners and their cute dog. Communication with owner was very easy and quick prior to booking and through out our stay. We always found parking right in front or close by. The location is AMAZING. So many restaurants and shops nearby within walking distance. Will definitely rebook the next time we need to stay in Portland. *Notes about the accessibility of walkway are accurate. We were able to lug large duffels and boxes from the car without incident. Though, if you have mobility issues this might be a concern.

Dan Kent är värd

We're a Portland family with three kids and two dogs. Dan runs a West Coast environmental nonprofit and Tami is a physical therapist, founder of an alternative health care practice, and an author. The kids are 19, 16, and 12. As for the dogs, Moka is a 8-year-old German shepherd and Timber (go Timbers!) is a 5-year-old French bulldog. The dogs reside entirely in the main house but you may catch a glimpse of Timber in the backyard.

Varför värden valde detta boende

After nearly twenty years of living just a few blocks awayon this same street, we were inspired to buy and restore the main 1907 house a few years ago with the intention to also build the eco cottage as a quiet urban retreat for friends, family, and our VRBO guests. The cottage was in construction for more than a year and was completed in December 2017.
