Amazing Getaway

My wife and I had an amazing experience for our little Christmas getaway. The house was perfectly clean and the back yard/patio was in great condition. We used the fire pit 2 of the 3 nights we stayed. We were very happy with our stay and will definitely be staying here next time we come to Fredericksburg!

Rocky Creek Cabin is awesome!

Very nice accommodations, clean and well supplied, only need to bring yourself! Nice views with lots of wildlife to see. We recommend it!

Anniversary Getaway

Great location close enough to town to get to stuff easily but far enough away to feel out in the hill country. The cabin back patio is awesome, peaceful, open views, lots of bird watching with the feeder out there. We saw a bobcat, several deer, heard what sounded like a wolf, saw some really cool stars in the big Texas sky and for sure saw some UFOs. There is plenty of kitchen stuff to make breakfast or dinner, you can choose to eat out in town or stay in and cook, it's ideal for just going with the flow. I used the pellet smoker, it was nice to have that option.Relaxing getaway, we really enjoyed it.

Nature paradise

The time spent on site was very relaxing. We had an abundance of 4 legged whitetail friends stop for a snack of corn throughout the day. Close to town but secluded enough for us. Enjoy your stay!

Wild flower tour

One of the best wildflower seasons. We have German Shorthaired Pointers. They love to hunt the property and go on hiking trails in the area. Our second trip. We will definitely stay again.

Another relaxing stay

This is our second time to stay here. It’s perfect for the two of us and our two pups. Beautiful sunsets and night skies. This trip I brought my telescope and set it up on the patio to enjoy a few hours of stargazing.

Hill country cabin

We absolutely loved our stay, the cabin was clean and very well kept. The location was secluded and had an amazing sunset view. It was only a 10-12 minute drive to downtown Fredericksburg. The fenced backyard with comfy chairs and a fire pit was perfect for the fall evenings. Would stay here again!

Absolutely Amazing

Me and Husband booked this last minute to get away for the weekend, let’s just say we made a great choice! This little peace of heaven is so relaxing and peaceful, They have everything you will need during your stay , we loved sitting on the back porch watching all the wildlife, seen fawns playing in the field was the best part, we will definitely be back again.

Rural small cabin 10 min w of Fredericksburg

Had a nice 3 night stay. Exactly as pictured. Our urban dog came face to face to friendly cows and enjoyed watching the deer from a distance. Nice small fenced in yard with some comfortable rocking chairs. Enjoyed having a glass of wine while stargazing. Enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic Getaway

We had a great no-frills and carefree time. We stayed three nights but both agreed we’d come back but for a longer stay. The view off of the back porch was very peaceful. We were there the majority of our day. If you like to window shop, Fredericksburg is good for you. We stayed in!

Nice and cozy. Very private with great views.

Love this place. We were here for our anniversary and wanted to be in a private location. We are both hunters and love the fact that there was a deer feeder. When it went off at about 7:13 pm the deer came a running. Very cozy and clean. I would highly recommend this place. Thank you

Great Cabin

Very clean, packed with amenities. Bed is very comfortable. Airconditioning was fabulous. Nice hot shower and awesome towels. Yard was perfect for our dogs. Many birds flock to the birdfeeder and the bird guide and binoculars were a nice touch. The deer feeder took it over the top. About 7:50am it flung out feed and the deer were there and waiting. You can't go wrong staying here.

Tranquility in Gillespie

My husband and I made a weekend trip to the area around Fredricksburg. We just wanted to get out of town and relax and this was a wonderful place to do it. This small cabin was very cute, well-appointed and very clean. You can tell the owners put some thoughtfulness into this little retreat getaway. The cabin is a studio one-room that includes a large, comfy bed, a little dining area, sofa and a kitchenette. Even though the kitchen was tiny, it was mighty. We have stayed at much larger places that weren't as well stocked with kitchen tools and whatnot. The bathroom was the only separate space, and it was well-sized and had everything we needed. The real star though is the back porch. It is a very good size and complete with chairs and a table. We loved sitting out there because the view is quite picturesque and they have a small enclosed yard with grass that allowed us to bring our dog, Nikita, with us. She also really enjoyed the trip as we were able to watch deer and many different types of birds from the back porch. We also got to watch a storm front roll in and the porch was the perfect place to watch and enjoy some of the complimentary wine that the owners provide (also a really nice touch since this place is smack dab in Texas wine country). We were only about a 10 mins drive from Fredricksburg which was a very easy distance for anyone planning to go into town and the property had a pellet smoker which was awesome and we made great use of it for tri-tip. All in all, this was a very very nice place and my husband and I definitely see ourselves coming back here in the future!

First timers in Fredericksburg and glad we picked this cabin. It’s cozy and has everything you need plus it’s only 12 mins to town. And 15 mins from the horse riding excursion we booked. We loved the back porch for the sunset views and peacefulness.

Clean, Almost everything you need for the kitchen & bathroom. Also, first aid kit, flashlight & binoculars for watching deer at deer feeder, Bird feeder filled. Games, Fall decorations, chairs on deck & patio with fire pit. Had a minor issue and hosts were quick to resolve. 2nd time to stay here. Can’t wait to stay again.

Our 4th stay at this little cozy cabin. It has everything we need. Super clean and comfortable. The backyard is perfect for our toy poodle. Enjoy watching the sunrise and sunset on the patio. We will be back!

The location is great. It is short distance from Main street but still far enough to have quiet, peaceful surroundings. Very relaxing. I enjoyed the seeing all the different birds and wild life from the back patio during sunset and sunrise.

We had a good time at the cabin. We liked that it felt private, and the location was a short drive from Fredericksburg. The views of the sunrise/sunset were just beautiful. Very peaceful, we enjoyed the wildlife (birds/deer/rabbit) you can see from the deck. The view of the stars at night was amazing, excellent choice if you want to get away from the city and enjoy nature.

A great place to stay while seeing the Hill Country.

We come up to the hill country twice a year to escape the fireworks where we live. So we are in Fredericksburg for the first of the year and the Fourth of July. Sure, there are a few fireworks but nothing compared to where I live. This cabin is well built and very quiet. It’s the best one we stayed at yet. This is our second stay at this cabin and I’m quite sure that our next visit to Fredericksburg will include a stay at Rocky Creek cabin. Also, cell phone signal and Wi-Fi are very good.
