Fabulous property in Pittsford

Our family had a wonderful stay. House is clean and very comfortable in a great, walkable neighborhood. Property manager checked in to make sure we had everything we needed - and we did. Hope to stay here again on our next visit to the area.

Great Get-away

We stayed at this house for a week trip to NY to visit family and see the countryside. This house was perfect for us. The neighborhood is quiet and felt very safe. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything that we needed to cook and have coffee :) The laundry was nice for that long of a trip, the fireplace was cozy during the snowstorm, and we were close enough to just about everything, without feeling like we were in the big city. The owner was very easy to communicate with as well.

Return visit

This is our 3rd stay at this location. Usually our son, daughter in law and grandchildren stay with us but covid interfered with their visit this year. We love the location in the village of Pittsford and walked along the canal several days, even bumping into an old friend one day

Decent for a 1921 Built House. Excellent Location!

This house was erected around 1921 an Historic Pittsford plaque near the front door says. So there are certain limitations on modernizing that goes with that designation. For example, in 90+ degree weather the AC doesn't cool upstairs down enough to sleep comfortably at night. We just happen to be here in a week stretch that had 3-4 days of 90+ which is sort of unusual. We kept the blinds closed and rechecked all the windows to make sure they were fully closed. I found 2 partially closed widows on the 2nd day. Upstairs was still uncomfortably warm. There is only 1 HVAC vent in each upstairs room, a structural deficiency now, IMO. For the good, the kitchen & bath rooms are modern and the appliances top notch. The furniture is the opposite of top notch in the living and dining rooms. Then the beds, linens and towels are high end. It's like the house has a split personality. We didn't mind washing the sheets /towels and remaking the beds per the owner instructions but the dryer and washer are older and drying plush towels take forever. The hefty white towels and floor mats are pretty, indeed, but impractical. The 2 white floor mats take an extra long time drying also. Lastly, we were locked out of the garage. Never saw a garage door opener is the main issue. Perhaps the previous renters forgot to leave it.

Charming and Convenient

I'm a former long time resident of Pittsford and know the area well. I was in town for a Celebration of Life and this is the second time I've stayed at this charming house that has a lovely front porch, sidewalks, and walking distance to everything the village has to offer. The host is very accommodating and prompt with communications and the house is always super clean and full kitchen start with everything you need. I highly recommend it!

Great Property!

Just like home is the best way to describe this wonderful property. But then I live in a hundred year old house so I think anything like this house that has stood the test of time so well is a treasure to those who have a chance to be in a place so many have spent time there. Hosts were great, pillows were great and the rocking chair on the front porch was nice with a hot cup of coffee in the morning. Will stay again with the steelhead run again in the spring.

Great short stay!

We stayed at this home during a short trip to visit with extended family in the Rochester area. The home is located on a quiet street in an older neighborhood in the beautiful town of Pittsford. The home owner was easy to communicate with and the home itself was great for what my family (3 kids under the age of 13) needed. I would highly suggest this for short stays and even longer trips since the house was equipped with so much for cooking and there was room for everyone to move around comfortably in the main living areas. We unfortunately didn't get to walk to the canal or to the shops nearby due to the action packed days we had with extended family but if we stayed here again it would be a MUST do! Thanks again!!

Great stay, as usual

We always enjoy staying here. Its location is perfect for Pittsford and only a 10-15 min drive from Fairport, East View Mall, the city. Chris has done a great job maintaining the property and the new patio off the back is a great addition for outdoor dining and socializing

Charming House within walking distance to the fun town of Pittsford

This was a great house, very clean, updated, and close to fantastic restaurants and shopping in Pittsford. Christopher, the owner, is very responsive and easy to work with.

Thanksgiving Holiday

Had a lovely week as always! The location of the home is exceptional, walk to shops and dining! The new patio in the back yard is lovely (it was a bit cold for us to enjoy, but would enjoy in the warmer months). The home is charming, and has everything we need, We always enjoy our evenings around the wood burning fireplace this time of year. Our host is easy to reach out to, and always replies right back to answer any questions

Great summer stay

Fab stay in Pittsford. House is walkable to many great bars and restaurants- and coffee! Lovely porch for evening cocktails. Plenty of space. Well appointed house meant we had everything we needed handy. Thank you Chris- we had a great time!

Home away from home

We live in the area but needed to be out of our home during renovations. Chris was amazing to work with and we all loved staying here. The location is amazing. We loved walking into the village and relaxing on the front porch. The house had everything we needed, including comfortable mattresses (something you don’t always get in a rental)! Great experience and will definitely recommend to family and friends!

We had a great week at the Village House! The home itself is cozy, and comfortable. We didn't do much cooking (to much good food in the village), but the kitchen did provide everything we needed. We so enjoy the wood burning fireplace really made my family feel a bit like they were home for the holidays! The beds were comfortable for all, and the shower has good water pressure, and is clean up updated. The home owner is quick to respond to any questions both this visit and our earlier visit in 2020. The location could not be better, we met friends for morning walks on the canal, and strolls to Pittsford Dairy, and the Village Bakery - With the snow before Xmas it really felt like a snow globe holiday - This is our second time staying in this house, and will certainly rent again when in town

Perfect Pittsford Location

The convenience of this home is perfection!! Walkable to all of downtown Pittsford’s best bars, restaurants and shops. Kitchen is well stocked, comfy warm beds, loads of firewood and an overall cozy place to stay!! Highly recommended!

Beautiful cozy experience

Fabulous location to shops, restaurants and other must-try locals spots. Home was immaculate and stocked with great amenities! Beds were so comfortable too! So clean and pictures don’t do justice. Communication with host was top notch and he was extremely accommodating and kind. We will absolutely stay here again. I’d leave ten stars if I could!!

The house is lovely. The thought and care taken to provide anything the guests may need is top notch. Chris is by far the most responsive, accommodating host I have ever encountered on VRBO. If I could give him more than five stars, I would.

Great stay in Pittsford!

My family and I enjoyed staying at the property. The house is very clean, well stocked, comfortable, and loved the porch. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
