1896 viktoriansk hem, helt ombyggnad för dagens komfort, men den historiska charm kvarstår. Trevlig gräsmatta för barnen att leka eller tillbringa avkopplande kvällar med ett glas vin vid eldstaden (gas). Centralt läge inom några kvarter promenad- eller cykelavstånd till stränderna i West Bay, Downtown Traverse City, TART Trail, hundparken och Historic State Hospital-grunderna. Bekvämt beläget nära West Side Beverage, känt för sitt stora urval, Slab Town Burgers och Impres Salon & Spa. Huset med två våningar har ett fantastiskt kök, utrustat med alla verktyg du behöver, inklusive en gasgrill på däck. De tre sovrummen har alla väggmonterade platt-TV-apparater med bekväma sängar (drottning, drottning, våningssäng med en full under, tvilling på toppen plus en utdragbar dubbelsats). Vardagsrumssoffan är en utdragbar luftmadrass. Det finns ett vackert badrum med dubbelt fåfänga, regndusch, badkar samt ett halvt badrum på övervåningen. Andra bekvämligheter inkluderar kabel, WiFi, tvättmaskin och torktumlare i full storlek, central luftkonditionering, en hel källare med ett träningsområde och privat parkering. Perfekt för familjer! We had a great stay. The property was very well equipped. The hosts put a lot of thought into every small detail that guests may need. They were also very communicative and friendly. It was a great location and easily walkable from downtown. I highly recommend the sandwiches from the liquor store next to the house! Our only complaint was that the upstairs mattress was very soft but overall we had a great stay.

This is a lovely home away from home. The kitchen is really well equipped for those who want to make family dinners and breakfasts and all the rooms are comfortable. We found the location to be prefect for us—walking distance to the gorgeous lake and, in the other direction, to good restaurants, a grocery store and a CVS. There's easy access to everything you need and the owners of the home are friendly, too!

A home away from home

Charming house, great location (walkable distance to the lake and the city center), and super responsive hosts.This house had it all. It was well equipped and had the most comfortable mattresses for a good night’s sleep.We would definitely book it again!

Charming and convenient

The house is an artful blend of modern bath and kitchen while preserving the wonderful features of a Victorian house. It felt very comfortable. Both my husband and I and our daughter’s family live in homes from the late 1800s so we appreciate what a great renovation this house is. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and dishes. There were plenty of towels. The beds were comfortable. It’s within walking distance of restaurants and shops. Absolutely no complaints. I would stay there again if going to Traverse City in the future .

We had a wonderful stay. House was very clean,comfy beds and the accomadations were plentiful. Great accibility to walking distance to all stores and restaurants on Front St . Tom was easy to reach and speak to. We would highly recommend staying at this location.

Holiday Time

Perfect Family Property with Great Walkability.

Loved the cozy atmosphere of the home! Big kitchen, big dining table, cozy living room where we hung out during a snow storm. The hosts were great! Close to Slab Town Burgers which has easy and quick good food to go and became a go-to. Lots of walkability down to Front Street to TC and through the pretty neighborhoods. Close to coffee shops, wine, fantastic restaurants and shopping. Appreciated the easy and ample parking for our three SUVs. We loved this cute and restored home and are looking forward in returning!

Awesome little spot

We were very happy with our stay here over a long weekend. Family friendly and my daughter loved all the games, puzzles, and bunk beds provided by the house. Great location, clean, comfortable beds, and had all the amenities we needed. Only wish there was a space in the backyard for kids to play but they enjoyed playing in the leaves out front. We would love to stay here again!

The property was perfect for us. I wouldn't have considered the bed in the basement an option because it's a dark, cement basement & treadmill & elliptical didnt work. Otherwise, it was wonderful!!elliptical didn't work.

Wonderful stay at your VRBO in Traverse City. Everyone had a comfortable bed and the house had everything we needed for a family weekend.

Our family has thoroughly enjoyed meeting our guests and sharing stories. We love that they enjoy the area, our convenient location, and the peaceful neighborhood setting. When families are able to enjoy their vacations together and create wonderful memories, we know that we have done our job well.

Varför värden valde detta boende

This house was built in 1896. It originally faced West Front Street. However, when Oleson's grocery store wanted to expand their offerings across the street, West Side Beverage (established in 1945) was asked to vacate their building. They moved across the street where this house used to sit. A "modern" block basement was built and the cranes drew the neighborhood kids to watch as they lifted the house, spun it, and placed it in its new location. We purchased the property in 2013, took it down to its studs, lovingly stripped its original woodwork, uncovered pine and maple floors, and restored its charm. The yard was next where perennials were chosen with care and the old chimney bricks were repurposed as a patio. We love sitting outside on summer nights with the kids playing in the yard, waving at the neighbors, and talking about the favorite parts of our day.
