Hösten Àr en vacker tid att fly och njuta av hösten lövverk. Det finns 7 tunnland höstfÀrger som omger stugan och trevlig frÄn verandan. Lewis School Road gör en 3 mil vandringscirkel nÀr han lÀmnar uppfarten.

De svala nÀtter och soliga dagar inbjuder dig att njuta av vattnet pÄ dagtid, liksom eldstadsomrÄdet pÄ kvÀllen. Njut av familjetid eller vÀnstid, med att steka marshmallows och göra smores.

Great cabin

The cabin was very comfortable and we enjoyed it very much. Unfortunately, the dock was in disrepair due to dam repair and the internet wasn't working but Teri called and gave me the option to cancel. She was headed out for repairs as soon as we left. We would rent from her again. Great communication!

Awesome lakeside cabin

My family enjoyed a great long weekend at this cabin. It was super clean and cozy. The lake was perfect, and Teri was a great hostess!

Nice weekend getaway

This was our first time exploring the area. We enjoyed the cabin, the quiet, and fishing from the dock. The Lafayette golf course had a nice layout but the greens were horrible. We got carry-out fish sandwiches from Tom and Al’s that we ate at the nearby recreation area overlooking the lake. The food was really good. I wish there had been an umbrella for the dock area and a hair dryer, but those are minor complaints. We had a great time, thanks for sharing your home.

Accurate listing

Nice. Relaxing area by the lake all to ourselves. A little rough getting kayaks back up from lake but not terrible. Hike from lake is not far but it is uphill. Might want to look into attaching boards under upstairs beds as they had fallen down to the floor.

Anniversary Getaway

The location of this cabin is very quiet, secluded and inviting! We enjoyed relaxing on the porch, sitting around the fire pit and the peacefulness of the lake. Great property! Highly recommend!

Great place!

We loved the private dock as we couldn’t get a boat for one day of our stay. It is quite a hike to the water so if you have someone who can’t hike a little ways, you’d have to pick them up on a boat at the marina. The cabin itself is super dark during the day, so I’d plan to spend the day on the water and the retire to the cabin at night. Overall, the private dock and cove (with kayaks) won the day. We will definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful "girls" trip. We cooked, swam, kayaked and took morning walks.

The property was fantastic and was my second time staying. The cabin is always well stocked and clean. The location is great and the dock and kayaks are the biggest draw for us. Teri is phenomenal and stays on top of everything. We are planning to make this an annual girls trip.

I live in Louisville and can reach this little get-a-way in 1 1/2 hrs. It is great to be so close and have only a short drive there and especially when it's time to return home. The problem is, I never want to leave it!

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

This cabin is unlike many that we had previously seen. The pine walls make you feel like your in a cabin and not another home. There is no drywall. My favorite spot is the front porch that overlooks nothing but a canopy of trees. In the evening, with the flood lights on, you are so close to the trees that it feels like a treehouse.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

The privacy of this cabin is another unique feature that we love. Sitting on the front porch and enjoying our morning coffee while listening only to birds singing is very relaxing. You do not see any neighbors, or multiple sets of staircases transcending the landscape.

Our boat dock is in a cove by itself. No other docks, or people. This gives us a large swim and boating area in which to play. We also enjoy reading and relaxing on the dock under the umbrella. You can see many beautiful birds and sunsets from the dock, over the lake.
There was an eagle nest close by this past summer.
