Hösten Àr en vacker tid att fly och njuta av hösten lövverk. Det finns 7 tunnland höstfÀrger som omger stugan och trevlig frÄn verandan. Lewis School Road gör en 3 mil vandringscirkel nÀr han lÀmnar uppfarten.

De svala nÀtter och soliga dagar inbjuder dig att njuta av vattnet pÄ dagtid, liksom eldstadsomrÄdet pÄ kvÀllen. Njut av familjetid eller vÀnstid, med att steka marshmallows och göra smores.

Summer get away

We Loved the private dock and did a lot of swimming and kayaking. We loved the remote location of the cabin. Very relaxing and we had great weather!

Anniversary Getaway

The location of this cabin is very quiet, secluded and inviting! We enjoyed relaxing on the porch, sitting around the fire pit and the peacefulness of the lake. Great property! Highly recommend!

Such a wonderful place!

Had an amazing girls weekend here. The house is in its own private secluded area, which was super nice. We enjoyed swimming off the wonderful dock, as well as hanging out on the nice deck! Overall an amazing weekend in such a nice comfortable place.

Great secluded cabin

The cabin was beautiful. It was very clean and had everything we needed and more. We loved the private dock and the trail to the water was a nice walk. We had a great time and our son was so sad we had to leave. We would definitely recommend this cabin for a quiet getaway.

We had an amazing time at the cabin. The home is beautiful, tucked back in the woods. The kids (7 & 10) had great time in the kayaks, mom did too! We would love to come back agian.

We had a wonderful "girls" trip. We cooked, swam, kayaked and took morning walks.

The property was fantastic and was my second time staying. The cabin is always well stocked and clean. The location is great and the dock and kayaks are the biggest draw for us. Teri is phenomenal and stays on top of everything. We are planning to make this an annual girls trip.

Great cabin

The cabin was very comfortable and we enjoyed it very much. Unfortunately, the dock was in disrepair due to dam repair and the internet wasn't working but Teri called and gave me the option to cancel. She was headed out for repairs as soon as we left. We would rent from her again. Great communication!

Awesome Cabin

Beautiful property. The cabin was amazing. Had a slip for our boat, and the kids were able to swim without worry of boat traffic on the river. The kayaks were an added bonus that the adults and the kids enjoyed. Will probably visit again in the future.

Secluded Getaway

Nice place to take the family and just leave the city behind. You are very secluded. Just make sure to open the directions email to get your gate code for the key. Little pricey for the stay but it was honestly the only place available for our dates.

Nice weekend getaway

This was our first time exploring the area. We enjoyed the cabin, the quiet, and fishing from the dock. The Lafayette golf course had a nice layout but the greens were horrible. We got carry-out fish sandwiches from Tom and Al’s that we ate at the nearby recreation area overlooking the lake. The food was really good. I wish there had been an umbrella for the dock area and a hair dryer, but those are minor complaints. We had a great time, thanks for sharing your home.

Beautiful cabin in a great location

Four old college roommates shared this cabin for 3 nights, and it was perfect. We've stayed in many locations on and around Rough River Lake, and this was one of the best. Very clean and comfortable, well-stocked cabin - very private and a great location on the lake with a private dock in a quiet cove. Loved having access to the kayaks, and spent a couple days just enjoying the lake, swimming off the dock and kayaking. It was wonderful. It's a bit of a hike getting down to the water (but easy), and you can't see the lake from the cabin. Owner was very accessible and responsive to questions. I'd highly recommend this cabin. We hope to go back next year.

Accurate listing

Nice. Relaxing area by the lake all to ourselves. A little rough getting kayaks back up from lake but not terrible. Hike from lake is not far but it is uphill. Might want to look into attaching boards under upstairs beds as they had fallen down to the floor.

Labor Day Getaway

Very relaxing weekend with the family. We rented a pontoon from Nick's Boat Dock and they were very friendly. Great experience. The next day we swam and kayaked at the cabin dock. Played cornhole and some other outdoor games we brought. Cabin was very clean and Teri was very responsive to questions although the cell service was not very good. My only real complaint was we needed more towels and wash rags. We had 8 people and had to wash towels everyday or use beach towels to take showers. Would definitely recommend!!

I live in Louisville and can reach this little get-a-way in 1 1/2 hrs. It is great to be so close and have only a short drive there and especially when it's time to return home. The problem is, I never want to leave it!

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

This cabin is unlike many that we had previously seen. The pine walls make you feel like your in a cabin and not another home. There is no drywall. My favorite spot is the front porch that overlooks nothing but a canopy of trees. In the evening, with the flood lights on, you are so close to the trees that it feels like a treehouse.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

The privacy of this cabin is another unique feature that we love. Sitting on the front porch and enjoying our morning coffee while listening only to birds singing is very relaxing. You do not see any neighbors, or multiple sets of staircases transcending the landscape.

Our boat dock is in a cove by itself. No other docks, or people. This gives us a large swim and boating area in which to play. We also enjoy reading and relaxing on the dock under the umbrella. You can see many beautiful birds and sunsets from the dock, over the lake.
There was an eagle nest close by this past summer.
