En semesterresa till Alaska är inte klar förrän du har stannat kvar i ett riktigt Alaskan Log Home.

Våra stockar med stor diameter skördades i Haines Alaska och transporterades upp till Valdez Alaska där ett fantastiskt mannamn Derrick (Serendipity Log Works) hand skalade och skriberade dessa stockar till vad jag ville ha.
Ta en promenad uppåt och nedåt i vår handgjorda alla traditionella trappor och snickeri trappor gjorda av en annan lokal fantastisk man som heter Josh (Precision Timberworks.)

Fylld med levande växter och fantastiska konstverk från hela världen.
Sitt runt eldstaden med din familj och vänner. Laga din dag fånga på BBQ och njut av ett stort kök för att göra dina minnen och måltider.
Blötlägg i en klo fots badkar (cirka 1900-talet) tillverkades fästet av en berömd lokal konstnär James Minden som använde räddade metaller från jordbävningen Great Alaskan från 1964. Eller gå in i en fantastisk tegelpromenad i dusch med stensten.
Krypa in i sängen och under en duntäcken efter en lång dag med lek.

Byggandet avslutades hösten 2016. Efter detta tog det nästan två år att göra avslutningsarbetet och det fina detaljarbetet med slipning och färgning av stockar, lägg till lokal konst och handpickmöbler för att göra detta hus så bekvämt, mysigt, varmt och välkomnande som möjligt.

Beautiful property

My family and I had the best time in Seward at this property. Beautiful views, clean house and close to a grocery store and downtown Seward. We loved it.

Nicest place we have ever stayed in

This home is like a resort lodge. Every detail is thought out and provided, location is great, and artwork throughout is beautiful. Has nice view when clouds are not consuming the surrounding mountains. This is a great place to use as home base while in Seward.

Super clean and great art

The house is extremely clean which we appreciate. The various art pieces in the house also added to our experience. We really enjoyed our stay and we highly recommend this house if you are visiting Seward.

Seward Magnificence

Beautiful custom cabin thay is gorgeously furnished & decorated. Has all the modern conveniences. Short distance to downtown Seward restaurants & bars. Could not have imagined a better accommodation. Highly recommend!

Amazing Place! Didn’t Want to Leave!

There’s so much to love about this house! Clean, comfortable and cozy, perfect for our group of 6. The owner’s artistic touches were a bonus! Comfy beds/bedrooms, beautiful property, easy to find, quick 10 minute drive into town. Log Cabin Living

Our group comprised of 3 couples loved this beautiful cabin. You could tell much thought and love went into every detail. We were impressed and fascinated with the Owners artwork. The location was great; tucked in the woods not far from the city.

A great place to stay for the Kenai peninsula

The cabin is amazing and very well appointed. We enjoyed watching eagles soar over the south balcony and feeding the Stellar Blue Jay peanuts on the back porch. Beds, bathrooms, and kitchen were all great for the 5 of us. It was nice to be out of Seward, but still close enough for conveniences. We felt spoiled to be in such a beautiful area and then able to come home in the evening to this fantastic cabin.

Great Seward stay

What can I say that all the other great reviews have already said. I had high expectations and this place exceeded them. Great 3 bedroom home that also masks as an art museum.

Our favorite property for our week in Alaska

Gorgeous, A-frame two-story property that was perfect for my wife and I and our two adult children. Very clean and beautiful, setting just outside of Seward with beautiful views of the mountains. Highly recommend!

Family vacation in Seward Alaska

Our family had a wonderful stay at the cabin, with its generous windows and views. Meals were easy to prepare with the well-stocked kitchen. Washroom supplies were generous and the shower and tub design are great. The artwork is beautiful throughout. My daughter loved feeding the Stellar’s jay who visits the back porch. Very comfortable holiday cabin. Highly recommend!

Awesome home

Just perfect! Clean, great decor, plenty of towels and comfortable beds. Loved seeing the owners beautiful artwork as well as local artisans. We also enjoyed meeting the resident Jay bird named Gus!

Stunning Cabin Experience

This is the second time we’ve had the opportunity to stay here. This time is was six friends staying the weekend in Seward. The cabin is phenomenal, with artistic treasures everywhere you look. From the kitchen equipment to the bathroom necessities Julie has thought of it all. I highly recommend the cabin for anyone who wants a great Alaskan experience.

Awesome. Everything as expected and more

I looked a long time for a nice place on the Kenai Peninsula. So many properties described as "authentic " or "rustic" really just meant "not that nice." This place was awesome. It was just me and my wife though this was a 3 bedroom. It was worth every extra penny. Close to Seward. Convenient enough for Soldotna. The owner had thought of everything. Beautiful decor. All the needed amenities. Roomy. True to the Alaska spirit. Clean. New. Spacious. Comfortable. Really....i can't say enough.

Above and beyond!

This accommodation was by far our best while in Alaska and perhaps the best to date. It felt like a home away from home. As wonderful as the home looks in pictures, it is even more amazing in person! The home was beautiful and spacious. The heated floors were a treat. The kitchen had great cookware and accessories. There were plenty of plates, cups and silverware. The beds were very comfortable and the living room areas were as well. Loved the bathrooms! One quote from our stay was “boy, they sure think of everything.” We loved taking in the artwork inside as well as the spectacular views outside. We also enjoyed the deck and fit pit. The location was great; close drive to Seward. Thank you for sharing your home with us!!

Beautiful home!

This is an amazing beautiful home inside and out! Very clean, comfortable, spacious and inviting. We enjoyed the decor and custom artwork. Attention to every detail for a wonderful stay. Large windows with great views of forest and mountains. Lighting is bright and cheery. The open-concept layout of the kitchen, dining area, and great room was a highlight for us. It was our main gathering area. We really enjoyed this space for meal preparation, dining, and playing games. The kitchen is well-equipped with very nice appliances and dishes. The laundry facilities were very nice with high end appliances. The bedrooms and bathrooms are clean and comfortable with luxurious linens. The property is conveniently located just up the road from Seward. Communication with Julie, our host, was easy. Our stay at this beautiful property was absolutely wonderful! We would hope to stay here again!

Solitude in Seward

This is one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. We absolutely loved it here. This was the first stop for us for our Alaska trip and it was sure hard to leave it for our second portion of the trip. We loved how it was away from the hustle and bustle of downtown but not too far away (maybe 10 minutes). It was the perfect distance. We loved coming “home” to relax nestled in the woods with the view of the mountains and a glacier! It really was surreal. And Gus, the Stellar Jay, was the cherry on top. He even let me feed him by hand. The place was immaculately clean and really felt like home with all of the artwork everywhere. We had a snag when we left with a traffic accident on the main road, and the owner informed us of links to refer to on the status of it so we knew when we could leave. We fell in love with Seward and hope to come back someday and will definitely be staying here again if we are blessed with a return visit. Thank you so much for getting our Alaska getaway off to a great start! Ps, I left a book behind and am hoping someone was able to enjoy it as much as I did :)

Born and raised in Alaska. I started working on commercial fishing and tug boats when I was 16 and received my USCG Captains license when I was 21. After many years at sea I began to start missing land and purchased the property when I was 30 and started the transition.
