Beautiful house set in the hills of Mata de Platano, San Jose.
Casa los Cielos (House of Heavens) is nestled in a peaceful, privately owned mountainous area with spectacular views of San Jose and surrounding mountains. The house features 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. One of the bedrooms and baths is part of of Studio Apartment with it's own terrace and entance (althoug it can be accessed through the house). The house has two balconies, Fire place, fully equiped kitchen, parking in front, fire pit in private yard. No need for air conditioning since tempartures are usually a pleasant 70 -80 degrees F. during day time all year round.
The Casa is a perfect place for families, retreats, or groups of friends interested in stepping away and being renewed by beautiful surroundings.
It is conveniently located 20 minutes from downtown San Jose and a 50 minute drive from the international airport Juan Santamaria. Even though you feel tucked away in the mountains, you're close to restaurants, grocery stores and other shopping. As well as outdoor activities, such as horseback riding (ask us about this- we can take you on a ride), volcanos, canopy tours, white water rafting, hikes, and coffee tours.
And, the closest beach is less than a two hour drive !

We love the the lush green beauty of this country, the great weather all year round and the close proximity to the beaches. I have always loved this house. The view is breathtaking, the temperture idyllic, the lush beauty surrounding it just provides a great place to re charge your batteries. On a cool night, the fireplace makes it so cozy. The artistic wood furnishings add to the warmth.
