The Cabin in the Woods was clean, spacious, well equipped and everything was in working order. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were fresh. The cabin made a great base camp for our fishing trip at Roaring River State Park which was just a few miles away. The host, Kim Marie, was very responsive and check-in was very easy. We had an enjoyable stay and would recommend the Cabin in the Woods.

This property is a hidden gem in Roaring River State Park area. We were lucky enough to book this for a trout season opening at Roaring River and it made our stay wonderful. The host couldn’t have been friendlier and more communicative. The property was wonderful welcoming and very well put together for our needs. All the little things were thought of and our stay was spectacular. I would recommend this to anyone that wants to spend some time in the Missouri Ozarks

Wonderful place! Will be back!

Our host made contact before our stay to give instructions and offer continued support. This is a beautiful property, a rustic house in the woods, clean and well organized with a big screen TV, outdoor fire pit, and quick access to Roaring River State Park. This is our second stay and we hope to visit again!

Great stay!

A cozy cabin close to Roaring River. Nice outdoor seating. Kitchen had what we needed to fix our meals. Communication was easy and quick.

We were looking for location close to Roaring River, this is less than 2 miles from the hatchery! Beautiful setting in the woods!

Great getaway spot

Very clean cabin. The kitchen had everything we needed. Enjoyed cooking on the deck on the Blackstone griddle.... nice touch!

Very nice cabin in the woods

It’s a very nice cabin in the woods. Very comfortable, clean with a nice large screen TV to watch. Very relaxing and a short distance from Roaring River State Park. It does have several steps up to a deck to enter the cabin. We would recommend this cabin as a great place to stay.

Very relaxing

Property was very quiet even though ‘on the highway’. Full of trees that blocked any noise. We enjoyed the stay very much.

Great getaway

Great property nestled in the woods. Loved the deck and grilling area. Kim was very responsive and left us homemade pastries and OJ. Can’t beat the location, 5 minutes from the river. Will definitely be back next year!

Open Living

This was a great cabin with an open living room. We got a lot of use out of the wood burning fireplace. Location to Roaring River was ideal. We will return again in the future.

Great Getaway Location

This home was a perfect place for my husband and me and our dog. It was quiet and tucked away but close to Roaring River. It gave me a place to read and soak in the beauty of spring while letting my husband get in plenty of fishing. We enjoyed making meals in the kitchen and on the deck, and we were centrally located enough that we could wander around looking at things and end up in Branson for dinner.

Great place

I like the location and the property although close to the road fairly quite. The only thing was a small bathroom. BTW the owner left eggs fresh and boiled, grapes, bananas and chocolate muffins with half a craft of orange juice. Was very nice.

The Best Getaway

We’ve stayed twice now and are planning more visits. Kim Marie is the best host and her breakfasts are perfection. I have dietary restrictions and she has gone out of her way to be accommodating. My husband loves the closeness to the river and we’ve taken some great hikes. There is a surprising amount to do in the area but the cabin is also great for a lazy day.

Roaring River trip

This cabin was fantastic! I feel like the host put a lot of thought into what is important to a guest and it was the little things that made this stay even more enjoyable. The host was easy to communicate with and the cabin was perfect for our group. We come to this area 2 to 3 times a year to trout fish and this is by far the more enjoyable stay we have ever had in the Ozarks. The property is beautiful and quiet. Close to the river and very comfortable. We will be back
