Om boendet

Vårt fritidshus ligger i ett lugnt område i nordöstra Michigan i Presque Isle Harbour Association. Närheten till uppfriskande Lake Huron, historiska Presque Isle fyrar och vackra Michigan State Parks gör detta hem en riktig tillflyktsort. Hemmet är snyggt inrett, har en ugn men ingen luftkonditionering och gott om parkering.

Denna saltlåda stil hus har tre sovrum, en är på bottenvåningen, de andra två är på övervåningen. Två sovrum har queen size-sängar och en en full size-säng. Det finns ett litet kök med spishäll (ingen ugn), matplats och vardagsrum med soffa och loveseat. Det finns ett trevligt däck på baksidan av huset med uteservering, vedspis, två badrum och tvättstuga. Vi lade också till en propangrill på däck 2018.

Presque Isle Harbor, Grand Lake och Long Lake marinaer och båtlanseringar ger tillgång till ett brett utbud av vattenrelaterade aktiviteter. Hemmet ligger också ca 30 minuter från Alpena eller Rogers City, som ger tillgång till alla moderna bekvämligheter, shopping, museer, historiska platser och statsparker. Denna sida av staten har dedikerade lätta fria zoner på natten och är fantastiskt för att titta på stjärnan och utforska naturparker.

Hemmet är också en och en halv timme från Mackinac Island, ligger mycket nära Presque Isle Wooden Boat Show på sommaren och andra spännande nordliga Michigan aktiviteter. Det finns ingen internet-, tv- eller celltjänst på detta hem. En tio minuters promenad eller fem minuters bilresa till marinan ger dig tillgång till celltjänst och en affär och restaurang under sommarsäsongen.

Hemmet har hårtork, några brädspel, pussel och de flesta köksartiklar (som en kaffekanna). Utsikten är ganska avskild; och du kommer sannolikt att se små djur som fåglar, ekorrar och kaniner, och ibland hjort och andra djur. Området är väldigt tyst på kvällen och är fantastiskt för cykeltur, promenader och alla utomhusaktiviteter.

Up north beauty

We rented for a wedding. The hosts were so nice and let us check in 2 hours early so that we could change prior to the wedding. House was exactly as described. It was quiet and relaxing for our short stay.

Comfortable, Clean, and Cozy

While traveling for work in the area, my co-workers and I stayed here and it was a wonderful place to relax each day after working. The home was clean and cozy and the beds were comfortable! We were able to check out the lighthouses which were very close by and found the surrounding location to be very scenic and relaxing. The home was exactly as described in the listing and I would recommend to others to check it out.

Little Piece of Paradise

Very clean and well equipped. Beds and other furnishings were especially comfy. I loved the nautical décor; it inspired me to up my nautical theme at home! The stargazing at night was spectacular! This is a very peaceful, cozy, retreat with many amenities to enjoy in the surrounding area. I had a wonderful time, and I will definitely stay there again.

Beautiful place in a beautiful town!

The property was beautiful, very clean and nicely decorated, with all the amenities you would expect - and more! The addition of the gas grill outside really took it up a notch too. We did all the outdoor summer activities we could find, and it was very nice to come back to such a beautiful and comfortable home at the end of the day to rest up!

Presque Isle

Loved the location, great for two couples to unplug & unwind for the weekend! We thought there would be a fire pit and there wasn't, otherwise loved the privacy with a great deck and grill to use. Beds were very comfortable. We loved no service but had wifi for what we needed. It was a great escape for sure.

Birthday Celebration

We rented this home to celebrate our sister’s 75th because she’s always loved Lake Huron, and this property is very close. The home was very nice and clean, with updated appliances and terrific bedroom and washroom spaces. The property owner was very good with communication and promptly answered any questions I had.

Beautiful remote cottage.

I only stayed for one night for a family memorial in Posen. But I really enjoyed the cottage. The only thing I can say is there is no cell service from the house.

Lovely home in sleepy Presque Isle

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely, nicely decorated home that’s just a short bike ride away from the Presque Isle, MI harbor marina. It’s a nice spot to get away from the noise. There is no tv or cellphone reception, but there is wi-fi internet reception. Lovely deck to read a book. Had a great bike ride from Rogers City north to Hoeft State Park and back. Communication with the owner was wonderful. Hopefully we will be back:)

Peaceful Getaway

This property is accurately represented in the listing. It is a clean, quiet house in a beautiful area. Plenty of space and adequate provisions. The only negative thing I have to say is that there is no cell or internet service which made communicating with other members of our party and our dog sitter at home with our sick dog very difficult. If you’re looking for a place to relax and unplug, this is it.

Presque Isle Cottage

Beautiful area. Nice cottage for a getting away from it all. Took a day to get used to no cell service at cottage - Only a short walk or drive to find it - but once I adjusted and the people at home understood. It was perfect.

Great value and peaceful location.

Escape the hustle and bustle of traditional location. This locatio is very peaceful and beautiful. The cleanest and most accommodating rental I have experienced.

We grew up in Southeast Michigan and always wanted a cabin 'up-north' in Michigan. Even though we now live out of state, we are happy to have this little place to enjoy the beautiful Michigan summers with family and friends. We also come up in the winter for a change of pace and to relax.

Varför värden valde detta boende

We chose this property because it is close to the water, fairly secluded, but within an hour of everything we need. It also reminds us of what 'Up-North' was like as kids - plenty of woods, beaches to explore and as quiet as you can get.

The interior has a nautical 'cabin' feel with many updated furnishings and comfortable linens. This is definitely the more undeveloped side of the state, giving guests a more natural and rustic experience with the luxury of a comfortable place to come home to. Its very quiet here despite being in an active neighborhood. The area is also known to be very safe and the locals are friendly.
