My wife and I both work remote and wanted to change up the scenery for a bit. So we stayed at Casa La Jolla for 12 days to work, relax and explore the area. Wow! This house was flawless. We had plenty of space and room to both have our own private work areas in different parts of the house. The WiFi was fast and flawless. We never had any issues at all. Some nights we would head into town for dinner and come back home to finish our evening off in the pool or streaming a show in the living room, while other nights we would grab take out and bring it back, and sometimes we would even grab groceries and just cook dinner. Regardless of what we decided to do the house met all our needs. One big thing we always look for in a vacation spot is a place having all the items and utensils we need to enjoy our days and evenings however we choose. Well this place did not lack in any way. The pool was absolutely amazing too. We were in it constantly. It was so inviting, spacious and the perfect temp. This place is absolutely beautiful. It's so spacious, well appointed and well hosted. You can tell that there was so much thought and consideration that went into setting up this vacation home. We would highly recommend it to anyone!

Beautiful place to stay

We had a lovely time staying here. The casa is spacious and extremely well appointed, they have thought of pretty much everything. Josefina is an excellent host and was always quick to respond to any questions or issues and provided lots of great information and advice. Los Ayala is a very pretty town and the beach is excellent. The locals were very friendly and helpful. Gracias!

Small Town Retreat

We really enjoyed our stay at Josie’s! They thought of literally EVERYthing you could want or need at a vacation house. From laundry to milk frothers, dvds for the family to enjoy, and beyond. She was super responsive with any random questions we had, even going so far as to help suggest some places to check for specific activities. Her pool guy was super polite and personable and we appreciated knowing the water was in great shape the whole time we were there. The kids loved the saltwater pool and upper patio especially. Great for family card games, hanging out, and the property overall feels so spacious, no one felt like they were cramped or getting tired of being together. It’s a decent walk to the beach on pretty rocky road, but it made for a fun walk each day to look at things in town, pick different streets, and really keeps the weekend local scene at bay by being a little set back from the Main Street/beach area. So we enjoyed the tranquility very much. Plus, Los Ayala is such a pristine beach and waterfront, even compared with the nearby towns, it was so great and calm for the kids as far as ocean time goes. We would definitely love to come back and recommend Josie’s casa!

perfect retreat

Such a relaxing, perfect stay in beautiful home. Rarely rented a place with every detail taken care of. The pool, the upstairs palapa, were the highlights. Many days, we did not go out much.

We love this place

This is the third time we’ve stayed at Casa La Jolla and it never disappoints! It’s a beautiful home in a really cute little town. Everything you need is within walking distance. Josie is always very easy to get in touch with if we have questions :) Ricardo and Maribel (they look after the property) are lovely and prompt if you need anything or have any issues. Highly recommend !

This is a beautiful property - complete with private swimming pool and everything to make entertaining family easy. Around the corner from the little town of Los Ayala, the beautiful beach and commuter buses to local markets, it was ideal for rest and relaxation. Another wonderful stay

Everything again was as enjoyable and comfortable as our first stay. Divine pool to enjoy before and after hikes and walks to beautiful beaches. Cooking at home or going out for the freshest of seafood. Comfortable beds and laughing at the roosters crowing to each other. Being in a true community in a welcoming small town. A beautiful casa in Los Ayala

The property was beautiful in every way. Great care was taken to make every space comfortable and inviting. We greatly enjoyed the heated pool and used it several times a day. The casa was equipped with every possible item that one might need in a home away from home. I really appreciated the beautiful little library and all of the games and activities provided for our pleasure. Overall we greatly enjoyed our stay at Casa Jolla. We highly recommend it

Paradise in Los Ayala

An absolutely beautiful spot for a 2 week holiday with family. Everything and more was available at the property: pool toys, books, beach toys, card games
just to name a few! The house was even more lovely than its pictures! We enjoyed early morning coffees on the upper deck followed by fun at the beach and afternoons in the glorious pool! We can’t say enough good things about our 2 weeks there! We had a car that allowed us to drive to Rincon de Guaybitos but one could easily walk there too.

Our Los Ayala get away

We enjoyed the property. It is well appointed and the pool is great - nice and warm. My only suggestion is to take some ear plugs as a precaution. The roosters start crowing at 3 am. They seem to move around so some mornings are worse than others.

Beautiful Oasis

We spent two weeks at La Casa Jolla, we would return again and again. We are two older adults and spent 2-4 hours a day in the pool, it was so great to have your own personal pool to enjoy. The small village of Los Ayala had many great restaurants and beach parties. We walked the 20-25 minutes over to Guayabitos and enjoyed the food and shopping it offered. Josie‘s home offers the perfect Oasis to relax in and we loved that it was stocked with everything we needed and more. Thank you Josie for letting us enjoy your home

Authentic Mexico nestled in a dream location!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this Vrbo! The location couldn’t have been better – not only was it close to hiking trails, allowing us to explore the lush jungle but it was also surrounded by numerous food options. Whether we were craving a cozy cafĂ© or a lively night out, everything was just a short walk or drive away. The accommodation itself was beyond our expectations – spacious, modern, and incredibly well-maintained. We particularly loved the privacy of the property, which made it feel like a true retreat. The amenities were outstanding, from the refreshing pool to the gorgeous rooftop palapa, where we spent evenings enjoying the view and relaxing. And the cornhole setup was a fun bonus for some friendly competition! Every detail was thoughtfully considered, from the cozy furnishings to the fully equipped kitchen. We were especially impressed by the outstanding service from the host, who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. We left with memories to cherish and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend!

Fabulous

The property is stunning - the photos do not do it justice. We spent most of our time relaxing by the pool. As a note both the master suite and the casita are separate to the main living accommodation. The area around the house is “rustic”, particularly the road which is very uneven and may not be suitable for everyone. Los Ayala is a small, unsophisticated Mexican beach town. We enjoyed breakfast at Erika’s on the beach, dinner at Mawi and drinks and dinner at Barracuda. All in all a very relaxing holiday and a beautiful property.

Amazing hidden gem

We had a fabulous time staying at the immaculate property. Everything was amazing. Clean, safe and comfortable. Josie was extremely helpful from arranging a ride from the airport to setting up a chef to come cook for us. She always answered our question or concerns quickly. Everything provided was as the description said. Pool was great and very clean (thanks Richardo) and Maribel did a lovely job preparing the place for us thanks again I hope we will be able to stay but for sure will recommend this gorgeous property to our friends and family!! Cheers!!
