Stylish flat on historic Narrow Street - 5 mins walk to Limehouse DLR (connections to the City, Excel, Tower Bridge and Canary Wharf)


PLEASE BE AWARE: The flat is in an urban environment in close proximity to a busy road. Whilst many guests are happy with this I would like to advise you that it might not be suitable for those not used to the city or are light sleepers :)

Just down the road from The Grapes - a pub well-known to Charles Dickens
Situated in a very cool locale, 4G wifi, homely, quality beds/linen, washer, dryer. Grocery stores nearby. The additional bed in the living is by request only and is a blow up mattress.

Getting around

Limehouse is handily place just to the East of the City in Zone 2. It is very well served by public transport and you can be visiting the Queen at Buckingham Palace, treating yourself to a show in the West End or taking in the views from the London Eye within 45 mins on the train from the DLR station.

Limehouse DLR and C2C station is 5min walk, overland station in Shadwell is a 15min walk, Canary Wharf is 20min walk along the river. Local bus stop is next to the DLR station, connecting to the City, Canary Wharf, Stratford and the west end. London's iconic buses are interesting way to see the city unfold…..

Not forgetting the Thames Clipper! From Westferry pier is (15min walk along the river) you can catch this river taxi connecting to Greenwich and the Cutty Sark to the East, and Tower Bridge and beyond to Westminster with Big Ben avoiding the rush hour road traffic.

For those who may be exhibiting at Excel London, Limehouse is 7 stops (16 mins) away on a direct train.

We are approximately 90 min away from Heathrow & Gatwick less than 30 mins from City Airport.

In short - Limehouse is nestled just to the East of the City and within easy striking distance of central London and beyond.

Fantastic flat! Mimi greeted us very warmly and made sure we had everything we needed! Very cute!
We loved our stay! It was a bit tricky to find from the station, but when we got there it was all worth it!!! Had everything we needed. Surely enjoyed Indian food delivery when it was dark and rainy!!! Thank You!!! Mimi is Adorable!

The space

Delightfully bright, stylish and airy duplex on historic Narrow Street. One previous guest best described this unique & comfortable home:

“The apartment is beautiful, spacious and the contemporary kitchen and bathrooms very functional and spotless. We are very happy that we made this apartment our choice for our trip to London!"

The flat is homely, well-appointed and professionally cleaned. Importantly the new beds with good quality mattresses provide the comfort you deserve after a busy day as a tourist, exhibiting at excel, having meetings in Canary Wharf or visiting family and friends.

“The house is spotless and well maintained…. And what's more, the bed is the most comfortable one I have ever tried since I came to the UK!!!"

The apartment is spread over 90m2 on two floors. The main bedroom shares the top floor with a bathroom. The second bedroom and shower room are on the ground floor. There is a separate study adjacent to this second bedroom with a big desk and lots shelves - a proper space for 'work from home'. Both bedrooms have built-in wardrobes with ample storage space. The water pump ensures that guests can enjoy a powerful and invigorating shower.

The 4.5 meter high entrance hall and a spiral staircase separates the bedrooms from in the airy lounge and the fully fitted kitchen.

Each of the two bedrooms has a king size bed and 1000 pocket sprung medium firm mattress; there is also a sofa day bed (for kids only) as well as a blow up double mattress if required.

The high ceiling, large windows, and the amount of natural light set this apartment apart from many of the flats available to rent in the neighbourhood.

For people staying more than 5 nights we advise on an optional mid-stay light clean – to freshen the place up and change the towels.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

The shelf-stairs in the lounge are made of soft plywood, displaying fragile objects. The shelves (and attached structure) have been featured on the BBC, Chanel 4, a US TV program, as well as many magazines all over the world, please enjoy it with care :) The additional room is not for use by the guests - although the design can be appreciated up close from the lounge. As the architect put it you can "have a conversation with the design from the lounge". If your very keen we can give you a sneak peak during your stay...

Finally on the property - it is close to a main road. Although we have secondary glazing - light sleepers may not get used to the noise of traffic. While it hasn't affected our family – it is not for those who are not used to this aspect of urban life.
