So peaceful and quiet! The interior is updated and has everything you need. You can even fish on the property, we caught a couple of small fish. Owners are friendly and my son loved running around the property and interacting with all the farm animals!

Relaxing setting with daily visits by sheep and two cats. The trout stream on the property was a hit with my flyfishing husband. Birds were delightful with baby flycatchers on the deck. Very quite setting.

Great home base for fly fishing

Many trout streams within a short drive of the property. The barn cats will come out and greet you every time you return home.

The property is absolutely amazing. This place will heal your soul. The pastures to walk our dog in to the immaculately cared for landscaping and post card quality views of this beautiful river valley are awe inspiring. The living space is comfortable and homey. The event space is perfect for any gatherings if the weather isn't cooperating. The outdoor pavilion and wood oven make for the perfect cooking/dining experience. The hosts are two of the friendlest people you could ever meet. Pet friendly if you choose to bring your dog like we did.

This is our 3rd time staying at this property, and it's a core feature of our annual trips to the Driftless area. Quiet and beautiful, with the creek in the front yard and the farm animals nearby. We also love our hosts!

Great Stay with Amazing Hosts!

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend in the fall. The hosts were so kind and helpful the entire time. There are two very adorable and friendly barn cats on property that greeted us when we arrived and hung out with us for the weekend. The trout stream on property was great for my husband, while I was able to read and relax in the Adirondack chairs up on the ridge! A truly amazing and relaxing weekend! 10/10 would recommend! We definitely intend on coming back!!

Beautiful serenity!

Unfortunately, we had a lot on our to-do list for this trip, so we were not able to spend much time at the beautiful property. This was quite unfortunate, because I could have been pleasantly content just sitting in a chair watching the sun rise and set over this property. It is just so picturesque and serene. So much green space that abuts a beautiful hardwood forest with a whispering little river that competes with the crickets' songs at night. Absolutely lovely! The interior accommodations were just as nice. Comfy, charming and absolutely quiet! Next time we are in the area, we will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful Property

This is a prime location in the heart of the Driftless Area. We visited in the fall and the colors were beautiful. This is a gorgeous property - immaculately kept inside and out. The guesthouse was perfect for the 2 of us and our pup. Comfy bed. Full kitchen to eat in or have coffee on the deck and enjoy the views. Friendly owners. We hope to visit again!

Quiet & Quaint

Loved how tucked away and quiet this little place was. It had all we needed and was just a short country road drive into Westby area. Our only complaint was that the bed was a bit too hard for our liking. Having the ability to add a down or cushioned topper would be nice. Just a suggestion.

Charming Valley Loft

The perfect couples retreat. The hosts were very welcoming. Wish we had spent more time there but we were attending a wedding at Vernon Vineyards. Highly recommend it!

Excellent stay at a beautiful cottage

We had a great stay (me, wife, baby and doggo). Perfect location to hop in the car and explore trout streams or Viroqua center. The property itself was great, lots of animals to say hi to. The stream running through was fun for the dog. The owners were also super nice and friendly. We'd happy to come back!

Cottage/the guest house in westby

My husband and I and our 3 dogs stayed for 5 nights. The place is beautiful well maintained inside and out! We didn’t lack for a thing! It was a perfect get away. Private and located in a beautiful area! Hosts are very respectful of privacy and have thought of everything when it comes to details The only recommendation I have is make sure you pack all necessities and food you’ll want as it’s at least a 1/2hr drive to a store. This didn’t bother us though because we enjoyed seeing the beautiful countryside! If you love to hike fish hunt, this is perfect! Shopping/antiquing was a great time too. Dining out was yummy as well!

Peaceful country stay

Lovely clean apartment in beautiful area with windy streams and hills. We were there during the arts tour which was fun. Would definitely go again. Definitely eat at the Driftless Cafe in Viroqua if you want some great farm to table food

Pre-summer get-away

We enjoyed spending the weekend again this year! Great Guest House! Toured the surrounding countryside, christened new 4-wt fly rod, and did some sewing on a rainy day. We highly recommend this place, you won’t be disappointed!!

Just as lovely the second time we stayed!

When we head to the Drifltess part of the state for fishing, this is the only place we stay. The location is beautiful, peaceful, and quiet; and the hosts are wonderful - we always look forward to chatting with them. The VRBO has everything a guest would need and has many quaint decorative touches. Woke up every day to birds singing and the river splashing from across the large green lawn. We feel completely at home here, and will stay there again for our next trip.
