Alaska in October

This is a lovely home! We visited family in the town of Big Lake and took day trips north and south to explore. We would love to visit in the summer and use the kayaks. Beautiful location on Birch Lake. We definitely hope to return soon.

Clean with beautiful lake view

We were in Alaska for a men’s regional gym meet. The home was very clean and had everything we needed. Beautiful lake view! Owners very easy to work with and very responsive:)

Great place to stay

We were here for 2 nights in May and the place lived up to our expectations and needs. Beautiful on the inside and out. With each bedroom having its own bathroom gave us all some extra privacy. Kitchen was well appointed. The owner was very receptive to some minor cleaning issues. These did not take away from our stay nor would prevent us from staying again. Negatives, and these are minor. TV. From our impression this was the let down but who comes to Alaska for TV. The channels seemed to be limited to those coming across the antenna. Couldn't find much else. Internet was capable of streaming so we did that in the evenings. The dock had part of the pathway below water, so we stayed away. However when we were there the lake/pond still had ice. The lake is small and surrounded by homes. Who wouldn't want to live on a lake. Not as private as expected but again it was nice to see. The home was easy to find. We felt secure at the home as it is in a gated community. If you need space, want something modern and in good shape, check this home out.

10/10!!!!! This was the best VRBO I've ever stayed in. Everything was absolutely perfect. It's a beautiful, place, quiet, safe and peaceful. They literally had everything we needed for our stay. Everything!!!! It was like being at home. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable. We had the perfect vacation. There is not alot to do in the area but if you want to just relax, this is a perfect spot. The management company was great. Although, we didn't need to contact them for anything. I would definitely stay here again if i ever come back to Alaska. Love it!!!

We loved the peace and quiet at this lakeside rental. We also loved the fact the unit was very well equipped and very, very roomy, with a great view of the lake. Sadly, there are no real sport fish in the lake. Even so, I would have rented the unit again for the whole month of June next year, but I see someone has, once again, locked up the middle week. Sad face lol

Welcome to Alaska

We moved to Alaska and this was where we stayed when we finished our long drive on the Alcan. A truly beautiful home with wonderful hosts. Thank you for making our first days in Alaska so welcoming! The views are stunning and the house feels like a true home. We are very thankful!

The property manager's communication and visit instructions were superb! The house was exceptionally clean and well-maintained and the kitchen was well-stocked with dishes, silverware, pots and pans, etc. This was an outstanding property; highly recommended!

Beautiful view

My daughter and I stayed at this location. It was quiet and felt safe. The house is clean and the beds were comfortable and bathrooms were nicely equipped with soap and amenities. Kitchen was a great size of the counter, space and the gas stove.

We are empty-nesters, having raised a large, blended family, all of which are now scattered around the country. We have 11 grandchildren, and we expect that number to grow.

We live in Kansas, but recently purchased this property in Alaska because we have family that live there. Our son-in-law is the builder, and he and our daughter are co-owners with us. We are excited about starting a business venture with our Alaska family.

The property was designed with senior living in mind. It is all on one level, with wide doors and hallway, and easy shower access. However, the cozy and well-appointed home, the lake, and frequent wildlife views will be a real pleasure for all ages. The property is located within a quiet and secure gated community.
