Was fairly difficult to find at first, as we lost cell reception, so the driving app couldn't guide us (actually had no cell service the whole time). I can definitely see this place as a perfect choice for someone working on a thesis/paper/novel (but not requiring a strong internet connection). I DO NOT recommend for a family. The stairs terrified me! Nothing to deter falling (I have a toddler- I was very nervous), or someone slipping (no traction on steps which were a glossy slippery surface-and shoes are required to be removed), and especially nothing to indicate WHERE they are in the dark!!!(suggest maybe place a glow in the dark strip?). The MANY rules to heed, regarding driving/noise/neighbors & even trash made us feel like we were almost imposing? The lack of ANY curtains on all the windows, in the 2nd story living area, was extremely unsettling, and this is not as secluded a location as I originally thought. The garage is not accessible, which would have been perfect for my kids to play in, as it was snowing fairly heavily the whole time-- IN APRIL so unexpected winter conditions, but even the outside "yard" had large rocks and what seemed like a filled in hole or maybe a dirt pile?
It was, however, VERY clean, the heaters definitely did their job, and the bathroom is beautiful and very large, bed and pull out couch very comfortable, extra blankets were appreciated!
Despite what my review is saying, I really don't have anything major against the rental (except the stairs), but it is definitely not ideal for more than a few people, especially with little ones. I can see it being PERFECT for some people like grad students or authors.
