SALTY DOG Àr ett 2 sovrum 2 badrum oceanfront hem ligger strax norr om Gold Beach i Rogue Shores en liten oceanfront gemenskap av cirka 30 hem 1 MILE WEST av Highway 101 och bort frÄn trafiken. Gold Beach ligger cirka 30 miles norr om grÀnsen mellan Oregon och Kalifornien pÄ den vÀrldsberömda ROGUE RIVER. Denna öppna plan 2 sovrum hem har alla trÀgolv med en full west side glasmur och panoramautsikt över kusten och havet. BottenvÄningen Àr andra vÄningen med vardagsrum med vedeldad spis, matsal, badrum och kök och full tvÀtt. Sovrummet har en queen size-sÀng och en tvilling. Det finns en futon i vardagsrummet.
Den tredje vÄningen Àr sovrummet med en king size-sÀng och sittgrupp och ett badkar. Huset har WIFI, full kabel-TV, en stor vÀstra sidodÀck och en varm tub under trÀden. Det finns en 2 bil garage. Vi har vÄr egen vÀg till stranden ca 100 meter vÀster om hemmet. VÄr strand Àr ca 3 miles lÄng och sandig med stora off shore rocks och Marine Mammal Reserve frÄn mynningen av ROGUE RIVER i söder och OTTER POINT i norr. Lamporna i Port Orford Àr synliga pÄ natten mot nordvÀst och du kan se Cape Blanco fyren blixt var 20: e sekund. Det finns mÄnga hamnförseglingar, sjölejon, havsoddar och havsfÄglar utanför kusten och grÄhvalar ses Äret runt. Leta efter agater (halvÀdelstenar) skal, drivved och andra intressanta saker eller du kan bara njuta av en nÀstan tom strand och titta pÄ vÄgorna och solnedgÄngarna.

The Salty Dog was the best -- as always! Fantastic location right by the beach, wonderful amenities with fireplace, hot tub, and deck, and great owner communication (timely and thorough). Had a great time and hope to be back again next year :)

Steps away from a beautiful and empty beach. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay. However, like many of the other reviews have said, the house needs a much needed deep cleaning.

Wonderful

Unfortunately the weather was not in our favor but none the less it was a wonderful stay. The beach is super close. The home is very private with a wonderfully located hot tub but still close to everything restaurants, shopping etc.

Amazing beach house

The house was perfect. Loved listening to the ocean. Relaxed by the fireplace. Soaked in the hot tub. Listened to the waves crashing with a big storm. Everything you could want for the beach!!Can’t wait to stay again.

views for days

You can't beat this location and the beautiful view. A quick drive into the Red Woods or head N. for a fun day in the dunes, this location is ideal. The house is fully stocked with all your needs, that was really great to see. The home does need a thorough, deep clean from cobwebs in the corners of rooms, to grime on/in the refrigerator and stove and tons and tons of ants - small sugar ants everywhere. We enjoyed the area and exploring both north and south up and down 101, it's just so incredibly breathtaking.

Making memories

Wonderful place for a relaxing beach getaway. We watched beautiful sunsets from the deck, took the private path right to the beach, bbq’d on the blackstone grill, and enjoyed time in the hot tub. When it got cooler we lit a fire, played loads of games, watched one of hundreds of movies, & enjoyed the ocean view from the full wall of picture windows.Highly recommend!

A must stay place

The accommodations were perfect. Felt like we had come home. The beach, almost private was incredible. We saw a baby harbor seal....so cute. The house was clean and welcoming. We did bring our dogs and they loved it and the dogs were welcomed to be there. A charming place to stay...hoping to come back this summer.

Salty dog retreat

We loved our stay at this little beach oasis. The house was warm and lit up when we arrived- to a box of chocolates and a Christmas card no less!!! The place was just perfect for a beach stay- right on the ocean! The master bed was very comfortable. I’m so glad that the house wasn’t all fancy- it’s just what you would want for the beach! Communication with David was super easy! We will be back for sure!

Family comfort in paradise

One of the best coastal vacation homes we’ve ever experienced! Panoramic views of the ocean, comfortable, cozy accommodations, and an all around fantastic stay. David made our stay special and went above and beyond to look after us. Thank you for providing the tide charts/tide tables for the duration of our visit- it helped us time our countless walks on the beach accordingly, (while also keeping our family safe). Salty Dog / July 2024

The Salty Dog has an ideal beach location, which was our primary criterion for a VRBO property. The house was very comfortable and provided for all of our needs, although these were limited, during our 3-day visit. Furnishings and decor were a time capsule from the 1980’s and the harsh seaside weather has created some exterior maintenance issues. However, this did not diminish a very enjoyable weekend getaway for my wife and I.

winter storm watching

We had a wonderful Christmas vacation trip to this property. Storm watching on the Oregon coast is magnificent, and this property gives you a front row seat, watching sea lions in the surf and sea birds navigating the wind. The house is clean and festive. Access to the beach is easy with a private trail and stairs. The door to the deck is a little sticky and the water in hot tub was a little yellow with debris but overall, we have no complaints. The Christmas decorations and gift added a great touch. We use VRBO often, and you never know what you will get until arrival. We highly recommend this property to our friends and family.

The steps on the back side of the house are in need of repair..The bottom step is rotten and the deck had loose boards. The steps to the house are not suitable for elderly people or older pets with hip problems. Should be noted in your description
