Dogtown

Lovely house and neighborhood. Everything provided( need more facecloths). I left my umbrella there and host was very helpful in getting it back to me. Gracious host.

Very safe and quiet neighborhood. I will definitely be staying here for my yearly trip to STL. Owners were very friendly and quick to repsond when contacted. We did not have any issues with this house. Liked that it has 2 BR's that are on opposite ends of the house. House has everything you need for your stay from coffee pods to streaming TV.

Excellent stay

Was in STL for a college soccer game. Great location, safe neighborhood, house is very clean, we enjoyed our stay and hope to visit STL for a longer stay.

Adorable, clean, well stocked house in a great neighborhood

This house is absolutely adorable! It is well maintained for being a historic home. It was well stocked with all needed cooking utensils and cookware. The hosts were wonderful in accommodating my allergies by supplying fragrance free laundry detergent and soap. We loved that they provided clear instructions on how to use any appliance. The beds and couch were very comfortable. The neighborhood is amazing! It is super close to the Zoo. There were lots of people walking their dogs who were nice. We had a slight issue at check-in but the hosts were quick to communicate with us. We would definitely stay here again!

Heaven!

Oh my goodness, what a gorgeous home! We spent the first 15 minutes of our arrival just taking in all of the charm and beauty! Every amenity you need and the perfect location for exploring St Louis. Beds (and bedding) were dreamy. Home was spotless. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing home!

Older house but clean

The stay was okay. Near Forrest Park but we still drove to get there... a bit too far to walk especially at night. The house was clean but there was paint chipped off the shower curtain bar in the tub. We had to go searching for extra towels that were left in the dryer. Some updates would make it a higher star rating.... replace the shower bar, rip out the old carpeting and finish the hardwood underneath... and add chairs to the front and back porches... there was no where to sit! I think this would be better suited as a long term rental for single or couple rather than an night or 2 stay.

Canceled concert

Our plans for the Billy Joel concert were dashed by the rain causing a reschedule. We opted to stay anyway and had a lovely dinner on The Hill and a relaxing evening watching Billy Joel videos on tv.

St. Louis Weekend Getaway

I have stayed in St. Louis before but this experience was much better than the rest! The house is so cute and cozy and the neighborhood was so welcoming. It felt just like home. We were able to walk to the Zoo and the walk was beautiful! If you are looking for a place to stay in St. Louis, don't overlook this property!

My husband and I lived in this house for over a year. We enjoyed walking to the forest park, Zoo and science center. We also enjoyed easy access to two highways (I-64 and 44). Most of the restaurants in Dogtown are not too far from our house. We both work in healthcare field, I am an OBGYN nurse practitioner and my husband is an ER nurse as well as he teaches at Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College. We just moved to St Peters and decided to share our house with other guests. We recently renovated our kitchen and had custom built cabinets by Amish and handpicked everything that was put in kitchen. We are excited to share our house with our guests.

The neighborhood is very safe, and walkable. There are a few nice Irish restaurants in Dogtown and is famous for St. Patrick's Day prade. Dogtown is located right next to The Hill, which is Italian neighborhood and has lot of famous Italian restaurants.
Our home is walking distance to the famous St. Louis Zoo and beautiful Forest Park. We are in short driving distance to The Galleria Mall, Washington University, Saint Louis University, Missouri Botanical Gardens, Busch Stadium, Scottrade Center, The Arch, Soulard, and all the offerings of Downtown St. Louis.

It is a full brick house with lot of woodwork built in 1930. As our guest you have the full privacy and comfort of the home to yourself. We reside in St. Louis but not on the property so we hope you will make yourself at home in our beautiful Dogtown Home!

For children, pack n play and high chair are available.

We do have a full fenced in backyard that is full access for guests. There are locks on the gates to limit outside access but guests have direct access from inside the home.

A washer and dryer is available for guests to use throughout their stay. Detergent pods and dryer sheets are supplied.

A dishwasher with detergent tabs is included in the kitchen of the home.

Toiletries and a hair blow dryer in the bathroom.
