Our stay at The Banyon Tree B&B was amazing. We had nine in our party, everyone had their own space and multiple wonderful spaces to gather together, particularly at the amazing pool and hot tub with incredible views of Maui and the water. The grounds are spectacular with gorgeous plantings everywhere. The host, Heleina, was so kind and responsive to any issue that came up. The spaces were clean, comfortable and welcoming. The house is situated in the hills of Makawao, away from the touristy areas with only a short drive to downtown Makawao or Paia for a little shopping and dining, which cannot be beat. I would highly recommend the Banyon B&B.

Great stay with Heleina and John! The property was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. Despite the terrible weather in Hawaii, they went above and beyond to accommodate us, even offering a complimentary extra night in case we got stuck. Truly thoughtful hosts. Would definitely stay again and I highly recommend!

Helaina is a wonderful host. The property is stunning and so surrounded by nature. If you want a private getaway from the hustle and bustle of Maui, this is your spot. I would love to stay here again. We had a group of 11 women and everyone had a fabulous time.

What a great place for our extended family of 12! Plenty of room, and the kids really enjoyed the ping pong table, pool, and hot tub! Helaina was great and left us multiple treats including avocados from her tree!

This was a great place with tons of space. We had 9 people from three different families so having the individual cabins and space for showers and sleep was perfect - but the common area to gather was perfect! The kitchen is fully stocked and the ping pong table was a hit. We gathered for breakfast every morning outside and enjoyed the grounds. I would recommend taking the short walk or drive into town to visit the cute shops and local restaurants. We enjoyed the morning breakfast spots!
Our morning walk into town - there is no sidewalk but not a lot of traffic.

We had an amazing vacation here. We had 4 generations ranging from 4 months to 81 years and everyone had a great time. There was room to spread out and room to all gather together. Having the private pool and spa was perfect. Host was available when we needed her and the B and B was well stocked. We also loved the Maui feel of the accommodations and being out of the busier parts of Maui. I highly recommend this venue for larger groups!

50th anniversary family trip

This is a beautiful property that easily and comfortably accommodated our family of 12. The large main house was perfect for gathering, with a spacious living room and well stocked kitchen. The grounds were gorgeous where the little ones loved running and playing, and a large pool and hot tub were great for relaxing in the evenings. The owners were wonderfully kind and accommodating, making check-in and check-out smooth and stress free. This was the perfect place for our family vacation, and we would absolutely stay here again.
The view at the pool where many fun memories were made.

Rented for a family reunion / milestone event and it was perfect for the occasion. Expansive house / property layout ideal for balancing gathering time and privacy time (with four different natural gathering points between dining room, living room, front porch, and poolside). Well-appointed near-industrial-level kitchen can keep up with all the hungry guests. Host was very responsive, as in "within minutes" responsive to questions / requests via text, and genuinely engaged and enthused to have the house serve as the setting for our successful celebration. Rating it 5 stars only because a 6th star was not available. : ) Mahalo!

What a special property. The location is perfect. We rented it for a work training and it was excellent since everyone has their own room/bathroom but we were able to meet in the large living room for evening presentations/discussions. The host was responsive with questions. It was very clean and check-in was easy. I hope to return again for both this meeting and with family for vacation.

Stunning property

We had an amazing stay with our friends/family the week of our wedding! The property is gorgeous and everyone had plenty of space to spread out! We really enjoyed the hot tub and views and being able to walk to Makawao town for brunch. Helaina was so friendly when we met her at check-in. Would highly recommend this place for a big group!

Great Family Getaway

A wonderful historic property with plenty of room for active kids - We enjoyed catching up with each other while the kids played soccer & ping pong. Everyone enjoyed the pool. A great base from which to explore beaches & the local towns. Helaina was welcoming & available if we needed anything. It was a much more authentic experience than staying in a resort or condo. Would definitely stay again.

A wonderful experience, a fabulous host and an all-around amazing time. It felt like coming home, and there was enough space for all of us, and nobody was on top of one another. Historic, Peaceful, Lush gardens & Beautiful views

Property had an old Hawaii feel, entire home was very clean and stocked with everything you would need at a home away from home. Property manager was very kind and responsive to anything we needed. Over all we could not have ask for a better place to enjoy a relaxing family vacation. I would definitely recommend Banyan tree inn and will will be back if ever needing a place to stay in maui. Rooms were clean. Timely response by host.Couple of times locked ourself out of our rooms. Host showed up in minutes and had them unlocked for us. Kitchen was clean and spacious for a group of 13 adults.Plenty of fans provided. Air conditioning in the bedrooms would have made this a luxurious place for large groups.Overall a very good experience.
