The perfect location for visiting Assisi.

Assisi is within walking distance (less then 20 minutes), which it makes the perfect location to visit this beautiful and well-restored town of San Francisco and Santa Chiara. The garden with its nice flowers and figs, tomatoes and olive trees create a comfortable and tranquil atmosphere. The house is spit in two apartments. We rented the lower apartment, which was very nicely restored with an eye for detail. We didn’t hear much of our neighbours from upstairs. We’ve shared the garden easily.

Excellent Unique Towet

Unique, clean and beautiful remodeled tower. Traveling with family (5 total), there was plenty of space and accommodations had a full kitchen (we mainly used for breakfast). Location about a mile walk to the old town square. We drove to the Mojano lot due to our son with special needs (8 minute drive). The house was a little chilly initially, but warmed up once the heat kicked on (stayed at the end of November). Beautiful outdoor seating for warmer weather. Downstairs (king bed and own bath) is a separate apartment, but had the full kitchen. Great views. Backyard abuts farmland with a great view. Upstairs had 2 bedrooms and full bath and smaller kitchenette. Would definitely stay again!

Bel casale con giardino

Il casale dispone di 2 appartamenti ed è fornita con gli accessori per la cucina, e la biancheria da letto e del bagno, l'abbiamo trovata molto pulita, e il giardino era molto bello e con diverse sedute per rilassarsi e un bel tavolo sotto un pergolato con piante, ottimo per fare colazione al mattino. Il casale dista circa una ventina di minuti a piedi dal centro di Assisi, la proprietaria è stata gentile e disponibile con noi, accetta anche i cani.

Wir haben eine wunderschöne Woche in unserem Domizil verbracht. Das Haus liegt wunderschön unterhalb von Assisi. Das Haus ist sehr schön eingerichtet,es ist alles da was man braucht. Wir wurden sehr freundlich Empfangen,Natale ich glaube der Schwager hat uns Tomaten, Paprika Basilikum vom eigenen Garten gebracht. Super Freundlich und natürlich auch super lecker.Wir haben auch ein paar Tipps bekommen wo wir am besten die vorzügliche Umbriche Küche genießen können. Wir geben 5von5Sternen für alles. Liebe Grüße an Michaela und Familie (Natale besonders 👋)

Il casale e’ in una posizione meravigliosa, abbastanza vicino ad Assisi raggiungibile a piedi in circa mezz’ora. L’unica pecca la pulizia poco accurata. Struttura ben attrezzata. Wi-Fi e rete con connessione instabile.

Neat experience but no air conditioning made it difficult in July

This was a really beautiful property and interesting because of it's age and the land around it. It was hard to appreciate it though because the reality of the heat, long walk to town, and mosquitos, overwhelmed the other positive attributes. The owner was very kind and helpful. Our difficulty was that we didn't have a car and the uphill, 15 minute walk to the bus stop was a tough way to start the day in the heat. My kids also were covered in mosquito bites by the end of the 2-day stay. We stayed the end of July so it was very hot and it was difficult to get relief in the house with just fans and having to keep doors closed because of the bugs. Also, the upstairs and downstairs are separate entrances, so this worried me with some of my kids sleeping upstairs through a different entrance. I didn't realize this was the case when I booked it, I should have read previous reviews that explained it.

Schönes Domizil unterhalb von Assisi

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus unterhalb von Assisi.Trotz der Nähe zu Assisi,15Gehminuten entfernt, ist es sehr ruhig gelegen.Das Haus ist piccobello sauber und mit allem ausgestattet was man so braucht,5von5Sterne.Für die Außenanlage geben wir 4von5Punkte.Man hat 2sehr schöne Sitzgelegenheiten mit Sicht in die Ebene von Assisi.Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können das Haus wirklich weiteremfehen. Honeymoon Well Spent

Upon arriving at the property, Michela and her family gave us a warm welcome and provided us with makings for our first meal! We had been traveling for over 30 hours, so that was a much appreciated treat. Their home provided us with all the necessary items needed to enjoy our trip. We loved how quiet and peaceful the property was. The view was spectacular, as it looked over the fields and onto the neighboring town. Assisi is absolutely beautiful! It's also a very hilly town, so pack accordingly. We've never been in the presence of true medieval buildings; it was breath-taking. It's astounding how a town can still be so deeply intertwined with it's beginnings. The property wasn't as close to the heart of Assisi as I had imagined, but it gave us a chance to soak up all of the country-side views and get good exercise to make up for all the tasty pasta we devoured in town. Food and wine was fantastic (but no surprise there). We are looking forward to the next time we get to visit this amazing town!

Nice cottage!

We enjoyed our stay. The owner was very helpful when an exterior key broke off in the lock shortly after check in. They immediately came and ensured we could get in. We also experienced one power outage, which the owner also responded to immediately. We misunderstood and thought the two apartments were connected. We rented the entire house, but you do have to go outside to get from one apartment to the other. All in all, it is a lovely home with very helpful hosts!

Beautiful place to stay

We traveled as two couples and stayed 3 nights at this property-each couple taking one apartment and sharing meals in the spacious first floor kitchen. The property is beautifully located and equipped; the house itself is historically and architecturally rich. After a full day of sightseeing in Assisi, with its many tourists, the house provided a much-appreciated respite. The outside seating area was perfect for late afternoon wine & cheese, quiet reading and general enjoyment of the stunning views. We had a car and found it easy to park in Assisi, (a 5-10 minute drive from the house) especially if we were there before 9:30 or so. There is a supermarket nearby. Our only challenge was finding the house, but we were in telephone contact with Michela, who guided us the last 1/4 mile or so.

Beautiful, Old, Country Home!

We loved the medieval master suite, and the charm of the upstairs apartment! We felt as if we were back in time walking through the peaceful country grounds. There is a great little grocery store with anything you need, a 2 minute drive away. We walked to Assisi in about 15 minutes. This house is a great value.

loveley home in an esay access spot close to town

It is a lovely home overall. Layout a bit odd with lockable upstairs separate from lockable downstairs. But very comfortable, Overhead shower in main bath needs fixing, it just drips super cold water. Overall a good stay however.

Very Charming!

This Casale was very spacious, comfortable, clean and within easy walking distance to the bus. It was decorated in such a pretty way with lace edges to the linen and a wonderful decor. The kitchen was very well equipped and had very nice china and other beautiful dishes. The garden was lovely and we enjoyed sitting outside on their nice furniture. Michela was very sweet and made sure we were completely set up. She was very responsive to all the communication with her before our trip as well. We would highly recommend this location to families, couples and friends traveling together.

Bucolic Setting

We were searching for a peaceful place to recharge and found it in this home. It's a short way out of town, easily drivable in a few minutes. It was clean and stocked with some basic food items. Some clarification: the stonework apartment is on the first floor and really is one bedroom with a combined kitchen/dining/living area. The more modern looking apartment is on the second level and has 2 bedrooms (one with twin beds). We found the shower to be unreliable; hot for the first few minutes and then ice cold. The kitchen was only outfitted for the barest of cooking; there was no sharp cutlery that we could find and no real baking/roasting dishes for the oven. Michela did not always answer my texts in a timely manner but we managed to communicate nevertheless.

A great location for exploring Assisi and Umbria

Our family of four was quite comfortable during our stay. The apartment was naturally cool and comfortable. The kitchen had all the cookware we needed and there were even a few staples to get us started. Pre-stay communications were timely and informative. Our only suggestions for a better experience were for better directions. They were okay, but could be better. A bigger number on the house or roadside picture would help. Even so, it was a great place to stay and we'd go back.

Wonderful.

Absolutely perfect

We were looking for a place where we could feel like home and that's exactly what Michela provided for us. The house is spotless,very clean, everything is provided .From cutlery to a hairdryer and washing machine ,everything is there. The best thing is the garden that comes with lovely view and a gazebo. Assisi is in walking distance(about 20 minutes to the first supermarket). I recommend this property to everyone who wants a home away from home

einfach nur zum Wohlfühlen

sehr nette Gastgeber, ausgezeichnete Lage, 5 Minuten vom Krankenhaus entfernt, 10 Minuten zur Stadt, fantastisches Haus, großzügig, geschmackvoll, gepflegt. Prinzipiell zwei getrennte Wohneinheiten. Reizender Hund der Vermieter, die zwei Häuser entfernt wohnen, aber äußerst diskret sind. In 10 Minuten zu Fuß in San Damiano, Guter Autostellplatz, umzäuntes Gelände.

Wonderful house in the olive gardens close to San Damiano

We rented both appartments - downstairs for the parents and upstairs fou our four kids and enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house very much. It is clean, very nicely furnished and situated in the most beautiful surrounding you can imagine. The Hosts are very nice. We can fully recommend this place. Anna and Christoph Köchert

Nice, Peaceful Stay near Assisi

This was a very nice apartment that was spacious and clean for 5 people. We stayed in the upstairs unit. The location was great. Only 5 minutes from Assisi and 3 minutes from San Damiano Church and a short drive from the other major sites in the area. It was very peaceful away from the hussle and bussle. Only drawback was just having one bathroom for 5 people and no dryer but I understand that is a premium commodity in Europe. We also could not get the stove to work, but it was not a big deal. The owners provided good directions and met us on arrival with good coordinating. They only take cash so have it on hand if you stay here. Nice location. Among the best we stayed at during our 15 day trek through Italy. I would recommend this apartment.

stupendo

L'appartamento che ci ha ospitati corrispondeva alle immagini e siamo stati accolti in maniera perfetta dalla proprietaria. La casa era accogliente, pulita e dotata di ogni comfort inoltre la dispensa era fornita dei beni di prima necessità e nel bagno c'erano prodotti per l'igiene e per la pulizia della casa. Consiglierei,e l'ho già fatto, questo immobile ad amici e parenti. Si possono raggiungere a piedi i luoghi di San Francesco: San Damiano, Rivotorto e volendo anche Assisi. Grazie ancora per l'ottima ospitalità.
