Westgate review of the unit we stayed in

The check in process took a bit long because they did not have enough staff. Unfortunately we could not arrive at the check in time but other than that the agent was very informative and friendly. We were happy that the unit was on the first floor and close to the entrance. The online photos did throw me off because the photos looked older but the unit was renovated and updated. We were very happy about that. The only thing I would say the bathroom door to the master bedroom would not stay closed and the phone should be replaced. I could not listen to the voicemail and the buttons were missing. The unit was very clean and had what we needed. We were very happy with our stay.

Great property

Location was perfect for a Disney vacation. Accommodations were spacious and well appointed. Jake the property manager was quick to communicate and provide answers if needed. Our only issue was that the WiFi and cell service at this location was very poor. Would still stay again.

Nice and convenient

We had a great time. The property was nice and a lot that everyone could do. It is was a convenient location. Beds were comfy - condo was spacious - and the kids loved all of the pools.

We had an amazing vacation!! Condo was very clean and very modern decor. Had everything we needed and such a great location, convenient walk to pools and restaurants, lovely view from balcony of the lake. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Resort Property

We enjoyed our stay at this property. We stay at a sister property in Las Vegas so we were familiar with what to expect. I would say, the cleanliness of the property could be attended to a bit more. But overall a great stay!

Perfect Family Vacation

We had such a wonderful time staying at this Westgate 2 bedroom villa. The host sent over all the information needed for an easy check in. The property has 14 pools and 14 hot tubs, each in its own private secluded area. Our kids had a blast. We also took advantage of the water park on site… worth the extra cost. Only complaint is that the condo was not well equipped with any of the extras. Minimal towels, dishes, cookware, etc. But regardless, we will definitely be back!

Description of property is accurate. Kids loved the gameroom and activities on the property. However, we did have a crawling infant and the floors were disgusting turning socks black and very gritty. Rugs need to be cleaned. Kitchen was clean as well as appliances. Would definitely stay again.....but would bring a mop.

Villa different than listed

The villa sec stayed and was nice, but it was different than the one listed on the Vrbo site. Also when we first arrived the refrigerator was not turned on. They came and fixed quickly, however we did not have ice or a cold refrigerator or freezer until the next morning. Other than that the state was nice. Very convenient to Disney.

Kind of cheaply made

Person above us flooded ceiling from their tub in middle of the night and ceiling fell in. Notice the faucets were all cheap and the the outlets were not put on well. Needs updated but was ok

Good location, decent resort, subpar service at resort and lacks cleanliness.

We were very reluctant to go after hearing of the recent cancelations due to the storm. Airport resumed flights, so we went. Arrived very late, check-in at the Westgate property was very lengthy. Desk staff congregated for lengthy periods laughing and joking while they "check for your room". When finally arrived at the room, was disappointed to find the room quite dirty. Had to sweep floors, clean showers and toilets. The bathroom, sinks, and shower also have a strong sewer smell. The condo is spacious. Good potential, but in need of a DEEP CLEANING!

Total scam company!!!! Do not believe pictures or written info.

Do not believe anything you see as far as pictures online. The condos said to be refurbished are all very cheap couch and chair in living room. Also online says kitchen has utensils and dishes ready for cooking in unit. this is true in sp there are utensils and dishes to eat BUT NOT MUCH TO COOK WITH. BE READY TO BRING OR BUY( HOT PADS, MEASURING SPOONS AND CUPS. ECT. EVERTHING IS VERY CHEAP THROUGHOUT INSIDE AND OUTSIDE. Fahey say heated pools YES HEATED TO 80-82. THIS IS STILL COLD FOR MAST PEOPLE. HOTTUB WAS OVER 104 DEGREES MOST DAYS. I went and bought a cooking themenitor to show proof to staff every day over the month we stayed.

Great resort but questionable service

Check in took an hour and twenty minutes because according to the resort staff we arrived at a busy time. Once we finally got to our villa there was still a cleaning crew working on the floors and they asked us to come back in 30 minutes (it had already been close to 2 hrs since our arrival). Our villa was beautiful with exception of the internet, we ended up being charged $25 for internet use which was odd. We only went for two nights and our entire first day was spent on checking in. Everything that we wanted to do was closed by the time we finally got to where we could go sit by a pool, the water park and pool bars close by 6. They did compensate us with 1-day of water park tickets but only after giving them a less than stellar feedback survey (when we spoke to the manager after finding a cleaning crew in our room we were blown off). This was our second time staying at the resort and the first stay was much nicer. The service this time was lacking but we still enjoyed the property.

Decent accommodations

The condo was mostly clean. The floors were in need of being mopped. The resort sent someone over to clean them. The front door did not latch and while we were at the pool, our dog got loose because the door flew open. Thankfully the resort attendants found her and held her until we were back. It could have been very bad for us though if something were to have happened to her because they didn't have safe locks on the doors. They did send out a locksmith to fix it. The resort made prompt efforts to make things right but these things should have been done without having to have guests complain. Many lights in the condo weren't working so it was dark. Just annoying because it took time out of our vacation to have to call about all these things. The check-in process was a little old school. They need to update it with codes on doors so you can get a text with your check-in info and go straight to your condo rather than having to wait in line to check-in. The onsite store was great. The waterpark was nice and the property had very nice pools. Outside seating for the restaurants. The size of the condo was great. The location was great.

Beware of timeshare meeting requirement

Unit was spacious and newly renovated so that was very nice. There was no maid service and really no directions on what to go with trash etc for the week we were there. Pools were clean and well-kept. Water park is an extra $20 per person and was very very crowded. The food at Draft sports bar was good but if you wanted to call in to place a carry out order phones were not answered and generally they seemed understaffed- very long waits at the coffee shop. Gym had lots of equipment to use which I appreciated. The thing I found most upsetting is the phone call I got from the property manager two days before arrival telling me that I HAD to go to a 90 minute timeshare presentation with my husband and my 3 and 6 year old kids. He told me it was a requirement “for the price you paid”- although nowhere was this stated in the listing. For this reason alone I would not consider renting from this manager again. When we came to the same property last year (rented from the same manager, Jake), service overall was so much better and we were not told we had to go to one of these presentations. Not sure what changed, other than now my opinion of this resort.

Check in process rough but would still return

Traveled with my husband, 2 year old, and 5 year old. The unit was clean and spacious with a large screened-in balcony. Having the kitchen, family room, and 2 bedrooms really made it comfortable for us. The property was so very family friendly! My son loved the “train” shuttle and both kids really enjoyed the water park. The restaurant was delicious and we loved being able to walk to get Starbucks every morning. Staff overall were helpful and accommodating. A few hiccups or surprises: Our confirmation said check in was at 3 so we arrived with a van full of groceries and cranky kids at 3. We were turned away and told check in didn’t begin until 4. We went to dinner and left all of our food in the hot car. We returned at 5 and again told the unit was “waiting inspection”. No one would give me an estimate as to when I could get in. I complained to a manager and suddenly the unit was ready. It was a frustrating situation, especially with small children. I left my sandals in the room accidentally and called the next day and left a voicemail for Westgate’s lost and found. I never received a call back. There was also a mix-up with the dates I booked but thankfully the property owner was very responsive by phone and was able to resolve it quickly. I was not aware the water park was an extra moderate charge per person per day. Not a deabreaker by any means as it was a great, easy option for us.
