Fishing Getaway

Our stay was outstanding! Loved the cabin. Would like to stay there again in the summer and next winter. My son and his family saw the property and fell in love with it also.

Great spot for a getaway!!

I wanted to take a couple days to get away from all the stress. I am 62 and just wanted to relax and fish a bit. The property is great a lot to offer all ages. Matt was great for boat rentals, and fushing tight off the dock was good. Prices for everything is really reasonable, and Rhonda and Matt are great. I am thinking of coming again with my older kids as it would be another great adventure.

Restful and Relaxing

Beautiful experience. We were in cabin 6. It had a direct view and easy walkout to the lake. Beautiful deck. Cabin had a full kitchen with everything we needed. We were impressed to see the frozen beer mugs. We rented the pontoon for 4 hours. The lake was perfect to enjoy nature. In the evening we had a nice outdoor fire. We were very comfy and cozy. We didn’t want to leave.

Quiet and Quaint

We enjoyed our stay! Very quiet and small charming place. It had everything we needed. Located on a beautiful lake. Close to downtown Chippewa Falls. Only complaint is the shower didn’t drain well. Would definitely recommend for a quiet getaway!!

Exactly as advertised. Perfect for a quick getaway on a beautiful piece of property.

The cabin was simple, but had everything we needed for a short fishing trip. Plenty of docks for boats and the resort was very quiet and comfortable. We will be staying there again. I had lived in Chippewa Falls my whole life and never knew this gem was there. I've since moved away but miss the lake and family so I return often. Makes it very easy to go back to visit family and enjoy the lake.

Comfortable cabin near but away from the city

Comfortable bed, nice new appliances, very responsive owner. Perfect for my 3-night solo biking getaway. Would definitely rent again. Note that there’s a train line nearby and the trains blare their horns while passing, but I blanked it out after the first day. I passed on using the kayaks due to their being a bit beat up, but it looked like it would have been awesome water for it had I brought my own. The Old Abe State Trail section starting just a few miles north, where it pulls away from the road, all the way to Cornell (about 18 miles each way) is an absolute gem. If biking the area, do not miss riding it (start in Cornell for the better half but don’t pass on seeing the bridge near the southern end of that section).

We were so pleased with everything here. The cabin was decorated nicely, and it was equipped with everything we could possibly need. Communication with the owners was quick and all our questions were answered! We are hoping to make this a yearly destination! Thank you, Rhonda and Matt!

Weekend getaway

We had a wonderful time! The cabin was perfect for my husband & I. Everything was very clean, quiet and a perfect getway for the weekend. We had problems with the TV and Rhonda came right over to fix it. We would stay here again if we are in that area of Wisconsin.

Perfect get away while staying close to town amenities

Such a cute cabin! Water all around the resort with lots of boating options. Plenty of firewood to use. Outdoor ping pong on a nice new slab of concrete. Playground. Beach. Beautiful. I will absolutely return!!

Relaxing get away

Overall quiet property to stay at, even though you could hear traffic, a train track with several trains a day and some road construction. We were able to leave the windows open and hear the birds singing. That was restful and peaceful. We used their kayaks one day and had a bonfire. Instructions were left in the cabin and had little interaction with the owners as it wasn’t really needed. I would recommend for a relaxing get away.
