Vår stuga har en ren och mysig atmosfär. Byggt 1986 och har alla bekvämligheter som behövs för ett modernt boende. Sovrummet består av en queen size-säng och byrå. Det andra sovrummet har två enkelsängar. Utrymmet har också ett tvättstuga med full tvättmaskin och torktumlare. Rymligt kök och matsal passar en blygsam samling av sex personer. Vardagsrummet har mysiga två (2) halvmånesoffor för konversationer ansikte mot ansikte.

Gästerna har hela övervåningen tillgängliga för dem. Kabinen är en duplex med en hyresgäst som bor i den färdiga källaren. Det finns ingen åtkomst till någon nivå.

Verandan har uteserveringar för att njuta av det vackra vädret som finns i västra North Carolina-bergen. En kolgrill för din utomhusunderhållning.

Stugan i staden kallas så för att den liknar en riktig stuga men den ligger i stadens gränser. Inom gångavstånd till centrum av Burnsville. Burnsville, North Carolina är en charmig liten stad i bergen cirka 35 till 40 minuter nordost om Asheville. Det grundades 1834. Idag är befolkningen i Burnsville cirka 1 800 människor.

Burnsville ligger i Yancey County. Yancey County är hem till Mount Mitchell, det högsta berget öster om Mississippifloden. Faktum är att 5 av de tio högsta bergen i Öste-Amerika ligger här.

Yancey County är hem för vattenfall, campingplatser, backroads, vandringsleder och rena floder.

Toe River-regionen, som tar sitt namn från indianordet, Estatoee, är hem för hundratals konstnärer, hantverkare, musiker och författare.

Den årliga Mt. Mitchell Crafts Fair hålls på Burnsville Town Square första helgen i augusti med konst, hantverk, livsmedelsförsäljare och levande musik under hela evenemanget. 9.00 till 17.00 fredag och lördag

Just Right

We were in town to visit family and found the cabin clean & comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and the laundry room as well. The hot & muggy weather made the a/c so important, and the two units easily kept us cool. The cabin's large livingroom and diningroom gave us plenty of room to gather as a group when Burnsville crew came over.

Cabin in the City

My husband, son, and I loved this cabin. It is in a very peaceful area of Burnsville, yet so close to the center of town. The house was clean and tidy. We had no issues whatsoever. We would definitely stay here again.

Mountain Cabin in the city

Quant little town with several good restaurant options. The cabin was perfect for our visit. Nice and clean with everything you need to be comfortable.

Great cozy place walking distance to downtown!

We unfortunately only stayed one night due to an issue that came up on our end. The place is impeccable and the owners had extra touches like water and snacks that made the stay great! We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Cabin in the City Stay

This property was very easy to find. We were pleased with the cleanliness of the entire house. The bed was very comfy which is a big deal for my wife and myself. We appreciated the complimentary items like the coffee k cups and the breakfast items. We would stay at the property again.

Only concern was neighbors dogs. They were chained but still scary when walking small dogs. Cabin itself was great.

Best Weekend in a longtime

Fantastic House; it felt like we were home. The host provided everything we needed, even welcome snacks. We decided to stay another night, which was super simple to extend. What a fantastic place, can't wait to book again!

Perfect for dogs.

Our dogs loved the large run. We loved the ease of it, just opening the front door and letting the dogs roam the run and deck at their leisure. We loved being in town and having only a short walk to restaurants. House was stocked with coffee supplies, snacks and laundry supplies. WiFi was strong, perfect for my on-line work. Owners were easy to communicate with. We had a wonderful stay.

A stay in Burnsville, NC should be on everyone's list if you like the mountains.

Great place to stay. So easy to get to many areas of interest, including Mt Mitchell, Asheville, many waterfalls, hiking trails, etc. Additionally, being in town, we were able to walk to great local shops, restaurants, the grocery store, etc. Burnsville is small enough to retain its charm and quiet atmosphere, but big enough that we could spend several hours each day strolling through town. Our housing had everything we would need. The wifi and TV came in handy on a rainy and cold day. I would highly recommend.

Enjoyed our stay at Cabin in the City

The cabin was very clean, quiet and comfortable. The host was very responsive and helpful. The king size foam mattress was very soft and the pillows were large. The air conditioners and floor fan were adequate at cooling the house. The kitchen was very good, as were the washer & dryer. There is a nice front porch but some side deck boards need replacing. The yards of the adjacent homes are untidy, but we enjoyed seeing horses in a nearby field and the view of a mountain. It was a great location for hiking in the area.

Cozy, comfy, great location and CLEAN! Plan on returning soon!

The "Cabin in the City" was just perfect! We spent several nights there with family enjoying the mountains of NC. Walked to the coffee shop in the mornings and hung out there with family. Nights were spent on the front porch enjoying the quiet, peaceful sounds of the crickets without city noise. Kitchen was well-stocked, snacks were greatly appreciated and the amenities such as lotion, soap, cozy towels, etc. helped make us feel as if we were at home. Beds were comfy and clean and we all slept soundly thanks, in part, to the mountain air. The owners are very generous and accommodating. We left something and they searched, found and mailed it back to us! We will DEFINITELY be returning!

Great Spot for Hiking with Dogs

This is truly a cabin in the city. It has quick access to the nearby food/grocery store while also being thirty minutes from great hiking spots. The front yard is enclosed and allows plenty of room for your dog to be able to chill outside without worry. The house itself is clean and well-stocked with supplies that you might need while there, and it has a view of the mountains when looking to the right of the house. The town square has a few cute shops to browse through, and the nearby Garden Deli restaurant is really good. We really enjoyed our time staying at the “cabin in the city” and hope to return one day. My friend, dog, and I stayed here for a hiking trip. We hiked the Roaring Fork Falls Trail which was thirty minutes from the house - highly recommend! We then drove to Mt Mitchell which was also thirty minutes from the house. However, plan for a full hour to get to the top of Mt Mitchell if you want to hike the Overlook Trail and the Balsam Nature Trail (also highly recommend) as it takes thirty minutes to just drive up the mountain.

John and I are originally from Florida. We have had a vacation home here in Burnsville for 25 years. We love the area and weather. We decided to downsize and sold our home in Florida. We eventually bought this "cabin in the city" as an investment and decided to share our love of the mountains with others.

This cabin has fully finished basement that provides income which was a big deciding factor for our wanting to invest in it. It has that unique cabin feature that also drew our attention. It is situated in a great neighborhood and is a stones throw away from restaurants and shopping.

"Cabin in the City" is just that, a cabin located within a typical city neighborhood. It is tucked in off the main road and sports a large front yard. Sit on the slider bench on the front porch and enjoy the beautiful weather!
