I’m so glad you appreciated the effort put into the remodel. It was a big challenge, but we are quite proud of the final outcome. We continue to add improvements each year such as the custom bunk beds finished out with a tree cut on the property. You are spot on about the location and the Upper Canyon feel. Our first cabin is a 1-bedroom in the Upper Canyon which also looks down on the river. When we spotted this hidden gem that needed a big dose of attention, we had the same feeling of peaceful relaxation. We couldn’t wait to bring it back to life and enjoy it. We are happy you found it and were able to enjoy it as well. Cathi

Thank you. Prior to your arrival, Ruidoso had just experienced high winds which resulted in showers of pine needles. We maintain the grounds regularly, but can’t control the effects of storms in between cleanings. The crew came three days before your arrival. We would have gladly sent them to clear the grounds again had you mentioned it. Since you did not respond to any of my messages, I assumed that all was well. I wish I had known so your stay could have been perfect. I want every guest to have great memories to take home with them. Cathi

I agree about enjoying the storms on the porch…there is something special about hearing the deep thunder moving through the mountains…it’s nothing like we experience at home. The porch seems to suit all seasons, but especially the mild summer months during monsoon season. It’s also fun to have a protected place to watch the snow fall. The cabin has a place for everything.
