This cabin was the perfect cabin to spend time with family. Sitting on the back deck, overlooking the lake, was so peaceful.The setting was very private and extremely quiet, which is rare these days. I recommend this wonderful little gem..

Excellent fishing cabin

I love this lake for fishing so this no frills cabin work perfect. It was very peaceful and a no risk boat docking. The only thing I would have likes would have been tv service but it was good to unplug. Will come back

Peaceful getaway!

Enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin getaway! Very clean and had everything we needed. Fish were biting off the dock and we enjoyed watching the loons and nearby wildlife. Was also nice riding my paddleboard each day!

Cozy cabin on the lake

Enjoyed the wildlife including eagles, loons and watching red foxes wander across the yard each morning. Had a nice peaceful 2nd stay at this cabin.

Relaxing retreat

Well supplied cabin with a beautiful lawn on the lake. We enjoyed finishing off the dock, using the canoe and kayak and watching the loons, chipmunks and mother and baby wood chuck. Cabin was clean and comfortable for our family. We brought kitchen items but didn't need to take any items out because everything was supplied. Bill and Vicky were incredibly easy to work with with reservation changes and when I got the check out time incorrect.

Great cabin!

We loved the peaceful neighborhood. Great fishing, watching wildlife such as loons, beaver, and fox. Bring bugspray :) The cabin had everything we needed. Hope to come here again!

Hideaway on Blackwater

Blackwater

Very clean, quiet and secluded. Would have been nice to have outdoor water and power. Would like to have enjoyed the cool evening temps indoors with screens on the sliding glass doors or screened in porch. Little hard to navigate and back a boat trailer in the driveway. Just the right size for 2 people.

Hideaway on Blackwater

This was our second stay at this cabin on Blackwater Lake and once again we were so pleased with the cleanliness when we arrived. Very peaceful, secluded, and quiet. Perfect spot to relax, but still close enough to a convenience store, grocery and sporting goods shops means less time driving and more time spent enjoying the beautiful outdoors in the area.

Great get-away!

The cabin is extremely cozy with all the amenities. The view of Blackwater Lake and all local wildlife mesmerizes you while relaxing on the deck. Bill and Vicki take extreme pride in their cabin and are very attentive to its upkeep and visitor experiences. We would definitely return to this cabin again....far exceeded our expectations which is difficult to do in todays world.

What a wonderful quiet place!

The cabin was clean and laid out beautifully for us. The view from the deck and bedroom was picturesque. We watched the sunset each night, listened to the loons and bullfrogs calling, and watched the fireflies dance all evening. Bill and Vicki were great hosts. Thank you so much. Peaceful space

We all enjoyed the peaceful vibe we received immediately. Having the dock right near the cabin was perfect for our son. He used his kayak to explore when they were not on the pontoon. Property managers were very easy to get in contact with and willing to answer all of our questions. Would easily consider coming back next summer!

Great Getaway!

Beautiful!! We had a wonderful time!! So many extra’s , you really only need your clothes!!! The cabin was clean and stocked with all your needs!! The sunsets where amazing! Didn’t get a chance to get out on the water, but it looked amazing! ( very windy for a canoe) If peace and quiet are what you are looking for, this is the place!

Fall stay

They property was exactly as described. The communication with the owners was excellent. The location was secluded enough for us which is what we wanted. We enjoyed our stay and had everything we needed. If the weather had cooperated, the stay would have been perfect to enjoy the outside benefits more like the canoe, firepit and dock. Unfortunately, Bill and Vicky had no control over the weather. Thank you very much for letting stay at your cabin and for your hospitality. We enjoyed it.

Great!

This was exactly what we were looking for to take a long weekend away from the city with our pup. The lake was perfect for mid-morning canoeing and the evenings were clear for start gazing (we were able to see the comet without binoculars!). The most recent review prior to our stay was a little concerning, but we did not have any issues with mosquitoes sneaking in the house or chiggers. And no complaints about the beds from this crew. Thanks again!

Norman Point Cabin

The best feature was indeed the sunset over the lake. Spectacular! The cabin itself is a small and very basic fishing cabin. It is not as isolated as we had hoped. Be forewarned that you are in a neighborhood. In our case, we were disappointed that the next door neighbor spent all day both Friday and Saturday grooming his yard with every power tool and mower imaginable. Totally his right. But it did spoil the peace and quiet we enjoyed on the first day. Otherwise, we had all we needed to be comfortable.

THE GOOD - 1) Had an incredible evening with the loons and sunset one night. That was the highlight. 2) Privacy excellent b/c the home next door is abandoned and likely rebuild plans for cabin owners' retirement. 3) Bugs surprisingly not bad at all outside. 4) Kitchen stocked with everything we needed. 5) comfy bed, can see/hear lake from there. 6) Good bass fishing - bring your boat/kayak like we did. 7) larger floor space than we are used to The BAD 1) Wicked Witch of the West called, wants her broom back. 2) Zero firewood. Should have unlimited birch like other places. 3) Cobwebs in windows, bugs inside bedroom screen door 4) Screen door needs to be replaced yesterday. 5) expected to vacuum - 6) Not as "homey", feels more like run of mill rental 7) Pet Fee greed. Canoe use should be included. 8) No internet/wifi. Bring laptop to watch movies in bed 9) Living room couch old, not a hangout/lounge area to watch TV on rainy days. Overall had a good time. Spot great for lake/loons/bass fishing/privacy.
