We had an amazing welcome. The house is well equipped, we only found a few little things that we had to buy, but we talking on a family of 6 so you always require extra stuff. Swimming pool amazing, garden amazing, bedrooms are also amazing. You can see that unfortunately not everyone that stays here cares and respects others people property and you will see some signs of wear and misscare but nothing major. Communication has been amazing with respect and care. Thank you we hope to be back, if this place it's available on the dates needed will for sure be the place where me and my family will stay.

Modern, immaculate house in Porto area

Sleek, modern, immaculate house with delightful pool. This was a terrific place to return to after exploring Porto and the Douro. Cool (great A/C!), lovely pool, and every amenity. Highly recommend!

Perfect place for Porto

5 of us spent 3 days including New Year eve and New Year day. Very nice house for family and friends. Very spacious living room and dining space. Outsite pool looked wonderful though too cold for pool time.

We was greeted by Paulo what a very friendly guy who showed us everything about the villa and took me on a tour of where to get the train and local supermarket. This place is quite away from Porto but don’t let this put you off I would recommend you get the uber app they are so cheap and book an uber from the airport we was charged 45 euros by a taxi but we booked an uber for the return back to the airport which was 21 that was for a large vehicle normal car was 13 .

Awesome house for group of 6.

Very well set up with 4 toilets and three showers. Kitchen worked well too. Major mall and groceries within walking distance and good access to highway. Super great time for us.

We enjoyed our stay. The only thing which could be improved would be the adress. The street was easy to find however the house number was R. da Suavinha 216 and not 220 as in our confirmation.

House was as portrayed and host Paul was very accommodating. A car is definitely necessary as it is 25 minutes to downtown Porto. A few more sharp knives in the kitchen would have been nice but overall the house was great value and very comfortable

Great Holiday Home for Adults

Beautiful home, with all the cooking and BBQ necessities provided. Very clean. Sleeps 6 adults very comfortably and plenty of bathrooms. Lots of space, even an office! you can dine indoors or outdoors. Close driving distance to Porto and Douro Valley. Large grocery store only 5 minutes away. Host Teresia is very nice. Negatives: dogs barking in neighborhood can be annoying.

One of the Best Ever

We have stayed in many rentals throughout Europe and North America and I can state unequivocally that this home was one of the nicest ever. It was spacious, well-equipped, and immaculately clean. We loved the swimming pool and walled courtyard. Everything worked as it was supposed to. Our host, Paulo, was extremely friendly and even drove us around the town to get us acclimated to the area. The home is very close to a wonderful supermarket/mall area and a short walk to the Suzao train station for easy access to Porto. I would recommend this home to anyone interested in visiting the Northern Portugal area.

Lovely Villa

Accommodation is excellent, lovely to be met by the host who did an essential shop for us as we were arriving late. Airy rooms with air conditioning. The pool is great for a dip after a day sightseeing in Porto. The steps into the pool were very slippery and wobbly so care is needed entering and exiting the pool. It would benefit from a couple more sun loungers as there were only two. We did struggle to sleep as the neighbouring dogs barked through the night. Ubers are a great way of getting around. Best to avoid work rush hour at either end of the day if heading to Porto. We had a lovely city break with the bonus of our own private space and pool. We did come home tired due to lack of sleep caused by the barking dogs!!!!

Great value

3 couples in our 50s stayed here for 3 nights in early September. The owner’s daughter met us to let us in (maybe because parents didn’t speak English?) and show us around the property. Unfortunately the washer had just recently stopped working and they couldn’t get it repaired during our stay. She was very apologetic and told us where laundromat was. Other than that, the home was spacious and very clean. This home is on a residential street and not in a tourist area but was a short walk to the train station to get into Porto. Mall with a grocery store also within walking distance. Note: the third bathroom is in a separate pool change area/games room and not in the house. Overall, a very good stay.

Estancia en Valongo

Nos hemos alojado unos días en familia en Valongo. Paulo nos recibió y aconsejó sobre el lugar. Nos atendió muy bien. La casa está fenomenal. Es mejor que lo que se ve en las fotos. Muy bien equipada. El espacio exterior muy bien con una piscina pequeña pero muy agradable.Si tuviera que decir algo negativo, sería que hay perros en las casas que están al lado que ladran mucho.La casa y la atención de Paulo de 10.

Has it All

Out of the tourist rush and surrounded by local culture. Lots of space with easy access to excellent local restaurants only a 5 euro Uber away. A 14 euro Uber from the center of Porto so many things to see and do. Grocery store minutes away, well outfitted kitchen, plenty of privacy for larger groups within the house . Amazing and attentive host. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip
