View Finder Cabin

Beautiful cabin in perfect location. We felt welcome and indulged from the moment we arrived. The cabin was super comfortable and everything we needed was provided. Highlights include the hot tub, hiking from the cabin, and the sunsets and star gazing on the upper deck.

Heaven In the Forest

Amazing place

Very cozy cabin. Well kept even in the small details. From the check-in to check-out, a smooth experience. The SkyView at the top is a peaceful place to be at sunset. Close to downtown with easy access roads. We will return for sure.

Relaxing, awesome view!

We throughly enjoyed relaxing on the porches with a fantastic view of the mountains. The cabin was very clean, and well equipped with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Great location for all of the local activities. Loved the decorating inside and out! Derrick was always available for any and all questions. Bonus - lightning bugs which reminded me of my childhood! I would definitely stay again!

Perfect!

From the moment we arrived at the cabin until our departure, it was AMAZING! The cabin was beautifully decorated and the surrounding views were breathtaking. We had a fire in the fire pit AND inside! The cabin is in a great location, just outside of Blue Ridge... Convenient to hiking, shopping, fishing, etc. We felt like we were staying in someone’s personal home and plan to return to View Finder in the future.

AMAZING!

This was the cleanest and cutest place ever!! They didn’t miss a single detail! Beautiful mornings, great things to do nearby, and wonderful sunsets!! The Fall Branch Falls and Amicalola Falls are a short distance and beautiful! The places to hang out are great: porch, upper deck, fire pit or lower deck with the jacuzzi! Simply AMAZING!

Perfection!

View Finder exceeded our expectations in every way possible. The pictures give you an idea, but being there in person is truly magical. It was immaculate, cozy, well furnished, beautifully decorated and felt like home. And that view!! Derrick is very thoughtful as well. Picture postcard worthy!

Derrick’s home was like a feature in Southern Mountain magazine. Beautifully decorated, quiet, clean, & comfortable. With all the amenities, we felt as though we were staying at a rustic boutique mountain inn. Derrick thought of everything including a typed welcome card, two bottles of wine, beautiful sunflowers, and an appetizer basket. His recommendations were spot on and he remained in contact with us the entire 12 days. We highly recommend this peace of Blue Ridge paradise and hope to visit again in the fall. Quiet secluded mountain get-away

I don't get to visit with my my daughter much since the pandemic began. The View Finder cabin was a perfect place for a mother-daughter weekend. I booked this cabin because of the views (and the rave reviews) and was not disappointed. Host, Derrick, made accessing the cabin easy and left a lovely welcome note and gift. We cooked in all weekend - kitchen was well equipped. The cabin was clean and thoughtfully decorated. The beds were wonderful!! Beautiful views from the front porch and the upper deck and there is a cute private lower deck for the hot tub which we enjoyed after a day of hiking. I highly recommend this cabin rental - you won't regret it...

Awesome Cabin

From the moment we drove up, it was apparent we made the right decision. Derrick has created a perfect oasis with this cabin in the woods. The place was immaculate! Every amenity one could wish for in a rental was provided. We accomplished everything on his suggestions of “things to do in and around Blue Ridge”, but the first one on his list was the best....do nothing! Watching the sunset from the view deck, relaxing in the hot tub, building a fire in the cozy fire pit or cooking up a great meal to dine alfresco on the front porch we’re just a few of the things we enjoyed during our week-long stay. Derrick is the perfect host, from his personal touches to his great communication skills. We hope to visit again and stay longer the next time!

Perfect romantic location in the woods with all the amenities

View Finder provided the perfect romantic location for our long getaway weekend to the mountains. The place provided everything we could’ve asked for including a fireplace, hot tub and mountain views to die for. Our hosts made sure that we had everything we needed for our stay and they even baked a cake for my wife’s birthday which we were celebrating over the weekend. We could not have asked for better hosts. The place was perfectly decorated with so much attention paid to all the little details that made so much of a difference to us. We used the fireplace and hot tub every night and thoroughly enjoyed both. View Finder is close to the small town of Blue Ridge which is worth checking out. Lots of quaint shops and restaurants in the area. I cannot recommend this place enough if you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful mountain getaway with all the romantic touches one would want or need.

Private and a Great View

While there are other cabins nearby, the trees give this place a special kind of solitude. We did hear vehicles in the area, but it looked as if there was some construction going on. It really was peaceful. It even rained at least part of each day we were there, but we loved it. Very welcoming, thoughtful preparation to attend to whatever we needed while we were there. It was nice to have a covered porch as well as the upper deck to enjoy different views. We hiked, hot-tubbed, read, wrote, and relaxed. Didn't turn the TV on once and even saw a shooting star from the top deck one night. Very relaxing and a great get away to further socially distance ourselves during social distancing. Thanks so much for being such great hosts.

All the 5-star reviews are to be believed! Stunning views, awesome location, super clean and great amenities. Above and beyond all that, Derrick was simply phenomenal. Great communication, directions, suggestions, flowers, wine and a birthday card for my wife's birthday, etc, etc. Wow. I've been renting VRBO properties for years and have yet to encounter a better owner experience. If you're looking for a rental in the Blue Ridge area, do yourself the favor of picking this place if available. Just perfect

Wow! This cabin is so lovely. Bryan and Derrick have definitely put a lot of thought and love into this property. Everything was super clean and the cabin was well stocked. It was like staying at a friends home. The pictures don’t do the cabin justice. When we arrived we felt so welcomed and cozy. The guest information book was so helpful, we tried as many things as our time allowed. We fished at Lake Blueridge, hiked, and ate well! The downtown area was so cute and everyone was so friendly. Also, the cabin was only about 7 minutes from everything, so we felt tucked away when we returned to the cabin. My personal favorite touch was the little picture hanging in the closet. Like I said, they put live and thought into this place! Thanks guys!! Sorry we didn’t get a chance to meet you! Hopefully we can come back soon!

First class service -breathtaking views!!!

Derrick is a wonderful host! He thinks of everything! We decided on a quick birthday trip and I’m so glad we selected View Finder! When we arrived Derrick had bottle of sparkling wine, a lovely local candle and a hand written happy birthday note!!! I certainly wasn’t expecting that! The home is love, modern rustic decor, comfy beds, soft towels, moisturizing soap, well appointed kitchen…you basically have everything you need! Thanks for a lovely stay!!

Heavenly escape

Perfect getaway!

I enjoyed every minute of being there! The views are beautiful, the cabin is super cozy and perfect. Mr. Derrick takes his time to make your stay extra special with welcome notes and special treats. I was fortunate to spend thanksgiving there and was greeted with food, desert, wine and extra goodies. So very thankful for his special attention! By far one of my best experiences with VRBO!

Perfection!!

We have rented properties both domestically and internationally and have been pleased with many. But never have we encountered one that so far exceeded our expectations that it is difficult to find enough superlatives to describe it. The cabin was beautiful, both inside and out, with an attention to detail that provided for every possible need we could have had. The views were breathtaking, instilling a sense of solitude and serenity that stirs the soul. The host, Derrick, was incredibly responsive and welcoming. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer! But we will be back! Thank you, Derrick and Bryan.

Since visiting Blue Ridge in 2012, we were quickly drawn to the kind people and natural beauty of this quiet little town. We now live just south of Blue Ridge, and couldn't be happier with our decision. We have a strong appreciation for wildlife, nature, the environment, good food and friendly people.

The multiple outdoor entertaining areas, panoramic views, and privacy found at View Finder allow us to enjoy the best that the North Georgia Mountains have to offer. While it's proximity to downtown gives us the opportunity to enjoy fine dining, shopping and many outdoor adventures (kayaking, boating, swimming, fishing, list goes on and on).

Viewfinder is located on a quiet beautiful mountain on 1.6 acres. Down the hill is a small stream, surrounded by beautiful Hemlocks. Just a short walk away is the Benton MacKaye trail, a meadow overlooking a lake and the mountains, Laurel Creek with small waterfalls, and a good amount of wildlife. The many old growth Hemlocks, Oak trees and Pines made this a perfect place for us to get away.
