If you’re looking for a simple relaxing retreat in nature then this is a good spot. House was very nice. The beach lake was a great spot and pool area was okay. Great hiking in the area and scenery is just beautiful. I loved it and my kids loved it. Only downside is community doesn’t allow campfires but other than that great stay.

Hot and humid

Check in was fine & kitchen was clean.No air conditioning throughout the house we were there in July and it never cooled down at night. Only complaint about the property was the mattresses were uncomfortable and well worn.

Spring break vacation

This was our first family trip to the poconos. We stayed at the Eliot chalet, it was small and homey. it fit our family of 7 perfectly. The kids had a great time playing on the property and we visited a few of the community amenities. I would reccommend this for a big family. We even brought our dogs!

peaceful chalet in quiet community

overall our stay was pleasant . The chalet was open and airy . A few little things needed fixing but nothing that spoiled the stay. It was a perfect size for my husband and I , and our toy dog but a family could also easily be comfortable. There’s much to do in the community and lots of good restaurants in the surrounding areas. My husband and i were a little surprised the chalet wasn’t in a more wooded area and that the neighbours were very close.. They were, however, very friendly. The area is very quiet and deer are very friendly and will eat out of your hand The host Mike was very responsive to all messages both before, during and after our stay. Would recommend, especially if you live in an urban area and require peace and quiet

Perfect weekend get-away

We really enjoyed this house and our time in Albrightsville. Lots to see and do, plus a very nice place to relax in. Host is an excellent communicator.

Relaxing

We enjoyed our stay in this quiet private community surrounded by deer and friendly neighbors. Pet friendly and only 20 minutes to Jim Thorpe which was a unique town with plenty to do, from shopping to whitewater rafting. We will definitely be back

Cleanliness and Accuracy of Description Are Lacking

We learned in an email sent less than 24 hours prior to check in, "cleaners" only are contracted to sanitize bathrooms. Hardly "immaculate" as the listing leads with, the house is dusty, dirty, food items left on stove and on plates in cabinets and other people's belongings left in/on beds. No linens, kitchen towels, TP, dish detergent, etc. are on-site, which should be made blatantly obvious in the property description but we missed it in the listing until the email sent at 6:15pm prior to our arrival. Location is good! This house is best for a quick stay when most time will be spent at the slopes or outdoors. Details and photos (since they cannot be posted here) were shared with host directly via email in efforts to allow them to correct things for future renters.

Cozy Cottage

We had a great stay at this cottage. Mike was great and replied back quickly to our questions, and we had a lot, lol. He also gave us very detailed info about our stay, rules, directions, etc. There was plenty for us to do around the area. The only complaints we had was that there were 9 of us staying in the house and the main tv was super small for all of us to gather and watch a couple football games, movies and watch the ball drop for NYE. Also the futon in the loft was so uncomfortable, we lost a space to sleep. Thankfully, we brought a blow up bed. Otherwise, the chalet had everything we needed to have a great long weekend!

Home away from home stay

I loved my spacious cabin! It had everything and mor I needed in there. The cons are the ads that said casino was only 15 minutes away, when it was morel like 45 minutes away. My other complaint was the tennis and fishing site was in dire need of being kempt better. The nets were falling in and the grounds looked deserted. I really wanted to fish and grill the fish I cooked for my birthday, but forgot to PURCHASE MY ANNUAL FISHING LICENSE. So, I had no problem purchasing while there, but come to find out one can only keep 3 trout if caught. It was basically, catch & release. Overall, I had a great stay & time.

Amazing stay

It was amazing to see the deets so up close and personal it was breathtaking. The place was amazing the upstairs loft look over amazing. The response time from both Mike and his team was admirable. We really enjoyed ourselves. Not too far from Louis Steakhouse with was a fav!! And the dollar general right around the corner has produce so this place is really that place with location. Will go again and will book this place!!

Exactly as described, calm location. The house has everything you need to disconnect for a few day still keep in touch with the world Lake was close because of bacteria, that was bummer (owner directed us to another lake near by, that was very kind)

I understand that the place is pet friendly but I was abit taken back when I walked in
 the smell of dog was overwhelming, and the counter was dirty. On Friday we packed up and headed to lake, which was closed and no water activities. That was extremely disappointing since the entire reason I rented a place was for the lake.

Great family getaway

Very nice location and property. Mike was easy to get in touch with and had everything nicely set up for us. Very enjoyable stay! Community is wonderful. The kids really has a great time swimming, hiking, and paddle boating. Would return!

Great House with hiking, swimming and beach time

We enjoyed our stay! There was plenty of room and it was clean and quiet. Beach was fun and lots of places to hike! Hosts were great with communication and listing was accurate! I would stay there again!
