Lakefront Retreat Nära till golf och skidåkning i nordöstra PA

Vår reträtt vid sjön ligger i den vackra Endless Mountain-regionen i nordöstra PA nära Keystone College och den natursköna Nicholson Bridge / Tunkhannock Viaduct. Lackawanna State Park ligger mindre än en tio minuters bilresa, och lokala golfalternativ finns i överflöd. Vi är belägna i en härlig privat sjösamhälle på en fastighet vid vattnet med en veranda, docka, betydande gräsmatta och utomhusborgen. Det är en underbar tillflyktsort som passar par, soloäventyrare och familjer (med barn).

Den första våningen är stor och öppen. Det är fantastiskt för familjetid med underbar utsikt över sjön. Båda badrummen ombyggdes 2017 och köket uppdaterades med nytt kylskåp, golv och extra diskutrymme. Ny tvättmaskin, torktumlare och diskmaskin i full storlek tillkom 2018.

Detta är ett hem med 8 sovrum, och gästerna kommer att ha tillgång till alla utom tre av sovrummen.

Ägare är alltid tillgängliga via telefon eller e-post för att hjälpa till under din vistelse. Vi har även underhålls- och hushållningskontakter på telefon.

Vintrar kan vara en utmaning i nordöstra PA och spadar tillhandahålls, men skopningstjänsten är inte. Vänligen planera i enlighet med AWD, eller 4WD fordonsalternativ i händelse av snö. Sjövägen är ganska väl underhållen under snöhändelser.

Detta privata sjösamhälle är lugnt och välkomnande. Det är ett utmärkt läge för vila, avkoppling och laddning.

Wonderful end-of-summer vacation on Lake Sheridan!

We decided pretty late into the summer season that we wanted to get away. We rented this beautiful lake home and spent 10 wonderful and relaxing days / nights there. The home was exactly as advertised and had plenty of room for our family of 5. It featured a well-stocked kitchen with everything we needed (and more), a ton of inflatables for the lake, a bunch of great board games for the family, and a new washer / dryer set. The owner, Katie, was very easy to work with and was quick to respond whenever we needed her. We even had a brief power failure while there due to a quick storm, and before we even had the time to reach out to her - she reached out to us to see if we were okay. We strongly recommend this home and look forward to coming back someday! 5 stars all around! 🙂

Great lakefront getaway.

Excellent lakefront property with many amenities. Tiki Bar is ideal for get-together with friends and family. Close to restaurants and conveniences. Would stay again.

It was alright. Wouldn't stay there again. Nasty place for older people, have to carry your stuff down hill then drag it back up to leave. Couldn't use only half of the porch , the other half was full of floating devices. But the lake was nice. The washer stunk so bad from being closed up your clothes smelled worst after they were washed. We really didn't care for being asked to sweep the floors before we left after we paid $100 cleaning fee. Pet hair all over everything. But the lake was nice.

Harold, I am sorry to hear this about your stay and wish you would have communicated with us during your visit to give us an opportunity to address your concerns. The floatations for the lake were added as an ammenities at the request of previous guests and the washer and dryer are brand new. The steps to the cottage are unavoidable and we replaced the stone steps with a set of concrete steps and a safety railing last year. As for the pet hair, we made the mistake of allowing a guest to bring a pet two weeks prior to your visit and have been struggling with the pet hair since that visit. We will no longer make exceptions for guest pets based on your feedback.

Lovely lake experience

Despite a few mishaps in the beginning of our stay, we had an amazing time at the lake house. We loved sitting on the porch in the mornings with a cup of coffee and just enjoying the view. My kids enjoyed swimming, kayaking, and lawn games. And on our down time there were plenty of board games to keep them entertained. We cooked most of the time and had everything we needed available. Plenty of towels and the washer & dryer came in handy. Would definitely recommend a visit if you just want to unplug, relax, and reconnect as a family. Thank you Katie for giving us the opportunity to do just that 🙂

Beautiful Lake Getaway

My family and I enjoyed staying at the Lakefront Retreat. We skied at Elk Mountain, which is a short, scenic 20 minute drive from the house. After skiing we enjoyed warming ourselves in front of the fire, playing board games and cooking. The kitchen is fully stocked, and the newly renovated bathrooms are a plus. The lake view is gorgeous, and the owners are very accommodating.

Peaceful retreat

Peaceful, quiet lake house with beautiful views and lots of charm. We enjoyed our COVID getaway trip and this was the perfect spot. Check in was easy and the house had all of the needed amenities.

Quick getaway at the Lake

The property was great and I really enjoyed the historic feel. We were in town visiting family so didn’t have much time to get out on the lake, but did take a quick canoe ride. We were happy that there was a life jacket that fit our little one. The bedrooms were small but functional and I slept great!

Incredible week.

Fantastic all the way around check-in was easy Katie was great and the place is like a postcard. The lake really comes alive on the weekends, I will be back next year if she will have me. One word of warning to my Italian friends if you plan on having a spaghetti night there was no strainer haha so I will deduct one tenth of a point and give the stay at 99.9%. But to be quite honest, everything was perfect. Couldn't have asked for a better place or a better week

wonderful lakefront setting-great for families

All three generations of our family (9 of us) enjoyed our stay. We particularly enjoyed the easy access to the lake and the availability of kayaks, a canoe, and inflatable tubes. We appreciated that life jackets were supplied (for the adults), as well as lots of towels since so much of our time was spent in or by the lake. We were able to fish off the dock (as well as further out on the lake), and all who fished were successful. (large mouth bass). There was enough room in the house for all of us to spread out, and availability of lots of games for the children. We enjoyed sitting on the dock or the porch watching the sun rise over the lake and spotting the lake's resident bald eagles. The location is near several kid friendly activities in Scranton should one decide to venture away from the lake. We appreciated that any questions we had were promptly answered by the owner. All in all, it was a fun, relaxing vacation that we will look back upon with fond memories.
