The property managers were very helpful, quick to respond. We lost water last night and called. And the engineer even came to check on us after calling the water company and not getting a response. We will be back. Thank you so much.

Nice cabin. Not as isolated as it looked on the listing but the street was quiet. Lots of curves. In the winter you will definitely need 4-wheel drive or chains. The hot tub needed servicing but the guy came right out when I called. Good wifi and roomy enough for my grandson and I. His Dad visited over the weekend. We enjoyed the cabin and luckily missed the flooding that happened a few days after we left. We would rent this cabin again.

We really loved the house, it is a great place to stay. We went to the Christmas Jubilee & went to a few shops. Tucked Away was an amazing place & we are hoping to come during the summer for a weekend.

A dream cottage!

Very easy & efficient rental process. No contact check in/out. Cabin in a serene location and very nicely furnished, with all home-like necessities. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Wonderful GetAway Near Town in the Trees!

This is a wonderful getaway property near town but up in the trees and the cool temperatures. A quiet and peaceful location but only 5 mins from town, grocery stores, restaurants etc. and 15 mins from the Racetrack. Clean and comfortable property with easy check in and out and everything you might need including luxuries like a hot tub. Would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to others.

Very nice small cabin. Great for 2 but could be comfortable for 4. Bring everything you need. We didn’t even find salt and pepper. Worst feature was the master bedroom mattress. Seemed like a cheap mattress with a foam cover that didn’t make the grade. Unless the mattress is a deal breaker, highly recommend

Great property and location that needs a new & more attentive property owner.

There are several "Normal wear & tear" issues that are being neglected by the current property owner. 1) TV has a dark blue spot on the screen like it was hit with a ball, 2) There is limited TV channel options unless one likes watching "paid infommercials" instead of movies, 3) TV remotes had missing batteries or batteries are weak, we bought new batteries, 4) Air conditioning will not cool the cabin because the refrigerant has leaked out, we reported the problem but a/c unit was not serviced during our 9 day stay, 5) the Master Bathtub drain and right vanity sink drain were clogged with hair upon our arrival and drain slowly, 6) Two Hummingbird feeders are present but neglected and dirty or empty, we cleaned them both, mixed new sugar water and refilled them, 7) Automatic light for carport does not come on at night. Humming-bird Cabins Property Management Team did a great job working with us and with what's available. The problems are with property owner neglect. We had a great time and will book with Humming-bird Cabins again, but NOT this property or this particular owners other 2 cabins. It seems this cabin is primarily a rental and not an actual home the owner stays in occasionally.

The cabin was exactly as described! It was clean, everything worked as it should and we had a great stay. The “stars” rating forced me to make a choice but we don’t have children so I can’t comment on that. It was excellent for my wife and I and my mother.

Tucked away cabin

Nice place. Very quiet and close to everything that Ruidoso has to offer. We saw lots of wildlife which made the stay even better. The only recommendation I would leave is its time to change the bed linens. Usually we bring our own with us but this time we forgot. We had to wash the sheets when we arrived due to them having stains on them and they appeared to not have been cleaned in awhile. Other than that one thing we enjoyed our time at the “the tucked away “ cabin

Tucked away

While the view and the wildlife were awesome there were several issues with the cabin. The main one being there was no wifi. I would have liked to know this ahead of time so we could have planned ahead of time. There was no light in one bathroom and very minimal towels provided. There were minimal dishes provided which resulted in having to wash dishes nightly. Overall it felt like there was no pride of ownership which was evidenced by the numerous cracks in the walls.
