BEACH COTTAGE A&B

We loved having both sides for pur large family. The cottage was very clean and spacious. The Gulf Shores Plantation resort has very nice pools, and nice short walk to the beach!

Perfect beach getaway!

We had the best vacation here. The beach is a short walk and the many pools are fun to explore. The kitchen is stocked with everything you can think of; a normal coffee pot, a Keureg, mixing bowls, blender etc. We love that Sassy Bass is waking distance, too!

Family vacation August2021

The house was a great location and a great layout for a large family on vacation. Unfortunately the house wasn't the cleanest. The air filters were packed and looked like that hadn’t been changed in a very long time. There was one extra air filter in the house so we were able to change one. We called maintenance to change the other but they never showed up. When we booked the house they advertised bunk beds in 2 of the rooms and futons in the lofts of the master bedrooms. Neither the futons or bunk beds were there. So we had to use the pull out couches. Only one of the pull out couches worked. The other we pulled out it got stuck half way and we could not use the couch the rest of the trip. The house was also wrapped from them working on siding and covered half the windows. I understand they are working on the house from the hurricane but they could of at least messaged us to let us know half the windows were covered. This house is in need of a serious cleaning and an updated. But all in all it was a great location and we would stay there again.

Good location, bad description, needs repairs

The location is excellent. The photos glamorize and misrepresent what is actually there. Photos and 3D tour do not match the current condition of the house. One of the rooms had a part of it exposed to the outside, constantly hot, no insulation (people staying in that room could not sleep there because of the heat!) Most of the house is still wrapped in construction plastic, even over the windows. Porch ceiling is unfinished and some insulation falling off. Overpriced for what is there.

Texas comes to the beach

We had 14 people so we neede lots of space. We had 8 kids so it was a good place for a large group. The negative was the stairs we had to climb . It was three levels. The positive was the beach and pool was close. Also they were doing some siding work that hadn’t been completed yet

I wouldn’t stay here again

I honestly was embarrassed and disappointed with the house. There were no bunk beds as pictured there were 2 missing beds on the top floor. We found multiple cockroaches. The door to go out upstairs wouldn’t even shut. The tv in the master Room we stayed in speaker was out and couldn’t watch tv another room tv didn’t work. Installation falling out on the deck from upstairs wasn’t very safe and the whole house looked like it need updating. Not to mention when we pulled in it was the only house with tyvek wrap around it and it looked like it was under construction. Couldn’t see out of some of the windows. Let’s just say I was disappointed and with the amount of money we paid. I was also embarrassed due to having multi people with us that had never been to gulf shores and we pulled up to that house. I have stayed at the house 2 houses down 2 years ago and it was great!

It was a good stay but could be improved

The location was great. Wifi was hardly working, no extra pillowcases for the pillows (and was told they would bring some and never did), the bed made such loud sounds when moving there was very little sleep in that bedroom. Couldn’t find knives for cutting meat, the microwave was not clean under the plate inside. The couch on once side was stuck on the rug on one side and literally blocking half of the living room. We finally got it to make more room. The pics showed bunk beds and we weren't notified that had been changed, we expected to have 3 kids in those rooms. Just making you aware of things I would want done better if it were me. We loved our time there and the layout of the duplexes was amazing.

The House

The house was nice and clean. Good location. The windows were ALL wrapped with plastic due to the hurricane last year. We could only see out of a couple. We reserved the house for 24 people (a couple babies too) when we arrived the bunk beds showed in pictures were only full beds. The loft areas had NO BEDS although pictures showed they did. We were short 6 beds. Vacasa made it all good and moved us houses with no issues. I would rent the house again for a smaller group. Also, just felt they should of told us about the plastic on the windows.

Great Location..... BUT

This property is in a GREAT location, the set up of the condo fit our needs for the number of guests we had but there is ALOT of wear and tear on the walls, floors and on the beds. The manager that was on duty during our stay July 10-12 needs to be terminated for VERY, VERY, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. We would definitely like to stay there again but the manager and the cleanliness makes it questionable.

We had such a great weekend!!!! Plenty of room for all us! A nice easy walk to the beachfront. Beautiful place !!

An amazing time spent.

Every summer we take a family vacation to spend time together. My grown children, their spouses and our grandchildren. The house we stayed in was perfect for us. We had pretty room for everyone as we are a total of 17. Access to the beach and pool were easy. Would definitely recommend Gulf Plantation duplexes. Looking forward to going back next summer.

Good for multiple families

This home provided us with plenty of room for a multi-generational vacation. It states that it sleeps 24 people in the description and it may with people sleeping on the pull out couches. However I would say it sleeps 20 comfortably. Another aspect that was unexpected was that the stairs to the "loft" area is located in the the master bedrooms so take that into consideration when deciding who sleeps where. The location is close to the pools and not a bad walk to the beach. For the price this was an excellent choice for our family.

A Delightful Stay

It was excellent for a large family and in the course of a week, though often at different times, we had twenty-four family members on site. All appliances were functional and we had no needs that were not met. We would be delighted to be able to rent the same property again. The online service and telephone service were very consistent and helpful.
