Wonderful Paris Apartment!

Very well appointed and located property in the heart of everything! As mentioned in another review, the biggest disappointment for us was the single toilet in a separate room with no sink. Otherwise, everything was fantastic and Louis could not have been a better host!

Great apartment, great location

Super apartment , large, clean with everything you need for your stay in Paris. Location is great, 15 minute walk to the river and Louvre although we stayed mainly locally as there was so much to do. Very convenient with Patisseries, Boulangeries, Poissonnier and Bistros just a 2 minute walk from the apartment. My son loved the rare steak, stinky cheese and rotisserie chicken. The Metro is close but its much more fun to just walk around and see what you find. Eric and Louis are great hosts, Eric kindly gave us a quick tour of the immediate neigbourhood when we arrived and arranged a bag drop off on the last day so we could make the most of the time before leaving. Would definitely recommend and we look forward to returning.

Stunning Flat in Marais with Incredible Service!

HIGHLY recommend the Angels apartment in Le Marais! The apartment is kept in pristine condition, with all the amenities as described. Louis's service is impeccable; from arranging airport transportation to meeting us at the apartment, he made my Mother and I feel comfortable from the very moment we booked our stay. The apartment is on the fourth (top) floor of the building with beautiful vaulted ceilings. There is an elevator in the building that holds one person at a time, but nonetheless, very useful! Louis keeps power converters in the apartment, as well as a fully stocked kitchen and even hair dryers. With the metro stop right around the corner, you have easy access to everywhere within the city. Take a run by Hotel de Ville or hop onto the metro and explore the Tuileries Gardens... the world is at your doorstep! We will be back, and can guarantee we will call Louis the moment we book our flights. Thank you, Louis!

Amazing location and apartment

Just came back from a wonderful stay at The Angels. Loved the character of the apartment and the spacious living room/dining room and cozy bedrooms. Louis is a wonderful host that gave us a great welcome and tour around the neighborhood. We would strongly recommend it to all types of travellers: friends, couples or families with children. Hope we can come back, again!

Excellent apartment excellent hosts, excellent location!

The Angels apartment was excellent. From being warmly greeted by Eric, which included a quick tour of the immediate neighborhood, to check-out went extremely smoothly. The apartment was exactly as described and is full of character and charm. We wanted for nothing. The neighborhood is beautiful with great shops, restaurants and sights within an easy walk. We would fully recommend this to anyone as both ourselves and our two young children were delighted with our stay. Merci Louis for everything! We hope to be back to see you again!

ANGELS

3 girls came to Paris to study their passion, hair. We wanted to expience Paris like an parisan. From the moment we contacted Louis to the moment we left Louis made that possible. From the AMAZING apartment which was EASILY able to accommodate 3 women to the recommendation for places to eat. We had a grocery store right across the street... bakery just down the street fruit stand for fresh fruit and just squuzed mango/ orange juice... metro station just outside the apartment, and so much history within walking distance. Louis made it hard for us to leave. Actually he made it easy, by setting up airport pick up and drop off. We will most definitely be back again. And Louis will be the one we contact. Thank you again "Angels" for hosting us....

Tres del appartement, très bien situe

Nous avons passé trois nuits en début d'année dans l'appartement, qui est très bien situé au bord du marais et à deux pas du Centre Pompidou. L'appartement est très spacieux, en meme temps que charmant, avec des details, meubles etc qui en font un 'home from home' très vite. Tout fonctionne bien, l'accueil est très correct est amicale, la gestion professionnel. Et avec des temperatures de -5 degrés, je peux témoigner que le chauffage marche très bien. L'appartement est comme sur les photos, et avoir 2 salles de bains et un WC séparé dans un vieil immeuble de caractère au centre de Paris est un veritable atout si vous etes trois ou quatre personnes. Je le recommande fort.

Paris in Style

I would highly recommend the Angels apartment to anyone looking for accommodation in Paris. The location is fantastic, only steps to the Pompidou. The apartment was spotless, and very well appointed. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. Arrangements were made to pick us up and deliver us back to the train station at the end of our stay. Everything about our time here was first class, they are VERY gracious. Eric gave us a tour of the neighborhood and made sure we were comfortable with how everything worked in the apartment. I cant say enough good things about our stay, I would definitely stay here again. Well done!! 10 +

Pefect stay, perfect location

This was our first trip overseas so I hoped that all would go well. We arranged airport pickup with Louis and our driver was waiting for us as we exited customs. Louis' associate, Eric, met us at the flat within five minutes of our arrival. Eric helped us up into the flat using both the lift and stairs and then he took us on a short walk around the neighborhood. He offered recommendations for groceries, bread, meat market, cheese and restaurants. The flat was very comfortable for me, my husband and our 8 and 10 year old children. We did have to get used to taking turns using the one toilet but aside from that known quirk - the flat was perfect. I have asthma that is triggered by cold (among other things) so the heaters were running for our arrival. The flat was warm and cozy and in the mornings, we loved opening the windows to peek our heads at the street below and the Pompidou to our right. The Rambuteau stop is a 2 minute walk away - and this allowed us easy access to other Metro lines. The only hitch in our trip happened when I began to develop bronchitis on a Monday while visiting London. Thankfully, on Tuesday when we had returned to Paris, Louis got in contact with Marie at the chemist shop at the corner. Marie called a few local doctors and explained my illness in French on my behalf. I opted for a house call, was given prescriptions that were then filled at Marie's shop that evening. Louis and Eric - my family and I are forever grateful for your hospitality. I look forward to visiting Paris in the future and staying at one of your properties again.

Great location! Louis sets this apartment apart from other listings

We loved staying in the Marais. Great boulangerie, cheese market & grocer all near by. Easy walk to sights. Safe neighborhood. Large clean apartment w/ washer & dryer. Louis was key to making our stay perfect. He provided great restaurant recommendations (which were superb) & flawless service. He booked all our airport transports plus transportation to the RER from the apartment for out stay in Normandy. W/ 4 adults & all our luggage in tow this made getting to the correct train on time & without anxiety worth every penny! Remember most stations have many stairs & transferring lines would be necessary to get to the RER.

Parfait mais quelques petits détails à corriger

L'appartement est trés agréable à vivre : il est très bien agencé, propre, de rénovation récente, très bien situé tout en etant au calme et propose un très bon niveau de confort. C'est parfait pour une famille de 4 ou pour deux couples. Le service et l’accueil procurés par l'agence sont excellents. Concernant l'appartement, 3 points (de détails) pourraient néanmoins être améliorés afin que tout soit parfait : - il manque un fauteuil de plus dans le coin salon. Difficile de profiter de cet espace à 4 sachant qu'il y a un canapé de taille moyenne et un seul fauteuil - il manque un luminaire (puissant) pour éclairer le coin salle à manger. Même quand tous les lumières (en l'occurence des spots) sont allumées, on dine le soir dans une lumière trop faible. - enfin, il n'y a pas de volets pour les fenêtres des chambres ou de rideaux opaques. Ce qui veut dire que la lumière rentre dans les chambres tôt le matin... Personnellement cela ne nous a pas dérangé. Bref en synthèse, et même malgré ces quelques détails, nous sommes ravis de cette location.

Great apartment in the heart of Paris

We stayed in Louis' apartment for 5 nights at the end of August. The apartment is very large by European standards and very nicely decorated. There is a small private elevator that enters right into the apartment. The kitchen is fully equipped, there are plenty of linens and the apartment was recently renovated with lots of modern touches blended with old world charm. There is also a phone with free long distance calls to North America. The apartment is located at the edge of the Marais district very close to Notre Dame Cathedral, the river and an easy walk to the Louvre and many other attractions. There are a few metro and train stations close by so transportation was never an issue. Louis was great throughout the booking process. His colleague Eric greeted us upon arrival as Louis was out of town. Eric was a very nice man and very informative. He helped us with the luggage, showed us how everything worked in the apartment, recommended some great restaurants, took us on a walking tour of the neighborhood to orient us and show us where various shops and restaurants were located, and then joined us for a coffee (what a great welcome to Paris!) Both Eric and Louis kept in touch with us by email and text during our stay to see how we were doing and if we needed anything. They even provided travel advice for our next destination in Santorini Greece. We were really impressed with how attentive they were and how genuinely nice they both were. Eric also arranged for an early morning taxi to take us to the airport for our departure. All in all, great apartment, great neighborhood, great weather, great time in Paris and outstanding friendly service from Louis and Eric. Merci beaucoup Louis et Eric. (P.S. a small corner sink in the room with the toilet would be a great addition to the apartment. If the plumbing does not allow for it, then a bottle of liquid hand sanitizer would be helpful)

Great location, excellent service

First of all, the service was outstanding. Louis made sure that we were well taken care of. During our booking, he was prompt in answering all of our questions. He arranged ground transportation from the airport, and also provided us with options for a number of private tours. We took a tour of Paris with Sébastien, who was quite knowledgeable and friendly. Louis also provided us with great recommendations for restaurants. He checked in with us via email every day to make sure all was going smoothly. The apartment is located in a nice area on the edge of the Marais, very close to the Pompidou Centre. Many excellent shops, bakeries, and restaurants nearby. The apartment is about a 10-15 minute walk to Notre Dame. The apartment is clean and quite spacious. There is a window air conditioner in the living room, which kept that area cool. An elevator goes directly to the top floor. For those who have difficulty climbing stairs, be aware that one must climb to the first floor to take it. There are two showers. However, the upstairs shower/tub has a very low ceiling, so is not very practical to use. In addition, this bathroom can get quite hot in the daytime from the radiant heat coming through the skylight. We pulled down the shade on the skylight every morning which helped tremendously. We would highly recommend this property and would stay again.

good place with limitation

Louis apparent is very nice and looks like Louis is trying to make you feel at home. the location is great and everything that Louis put in the apartment was with touch and well thought after. the apartment have few problems that might be of a problem to some people: 1) only one toilet and if without a sink to wash your hand (so we needed to go to the kitchen for that ) 2) the second floor bathroom only relevant for small people is its very low sealing. 3) very problematic on hot days 4) acoustic is not good due to bad sealing - so you hear every little noise for the apartments below (to change that Louis will have to replace the entire windows ).

Wonderful apartment, exceptional service

Echoing many of the other reviews....Outstanding apartment in a wonderful location. Quiet location and easy walking distance to the metro, shops, restaurants, and sites. Very roomy for our family of four with a well equipped kitchen and extremely clean. From the very beginning, Louis was amazing - friendly, very quick email responses, and helpful. As soon as we met him, he made our entire family feel welcomed. He arranged transportation to and from the airport and it was prompt and professional. Outstanding overall experience. Highly recommend.

Review of stay

My family and I visited Paris for the first time. The apartment that we rented was fantastic, perfectly located within the city, and exactly as billed on the website. We had a great time! Our manager, Louis, arranged for transportation to and from the airport and touched base with us with suggestions for restaurants. He was also quick to respond to our questions. He really did a great job and I would highly recommend him and this property to people traveling in the future!

Comfortable apartment in perfect location

Our three-generation threesome spent 5 wonderful days in May in this bright, very comfortable, and perfectly clean apartment. From our greeting at the airport by Stefan, the driver Louis arranged for us, to Louis' gracious farewell, our experience was wonderful. The location of the flat was a great base for exploring Paris on foot and by nearby Metro. The Pompidou was a close-by and useful landmark for our travels. The apartment had everything we needed for comfort. So nice to have a washer-drier. Louis was kind and helpful with everything from luggage to restaurant and attraction suggestions. He even made dinner reservations for us for our first evening. My only regret was that I did not make reservations at more of his restaurant suggestions. Reservations were very much needed at the many small gems located in the neighborhood. Angels was definitely a wonderful base for a great Paris stay

Paris Perfection!

Ou family of 4 adults and a 2 year old stayed in this wonderful apartment for 6 nights. We had the opportunity to stay in other home rentals in Europe prior to this stay and must say this rental was by the best. The apartment is very clean, bright and very spacious! It provided us with privacy and was very conviently located in Paris. Louis was very accommodating with our arrival and all the information we needed was at our fingertips. The kitchen is well equipped, even has a dishwasher. The apartment as a whole was very well equipped. We would recommend and stay again.

Perfect Family size apartment in the Heart of Le Marais!

We have just returned from a 10 night stay in this fantastic apartment with our two teenage children ages 15 and 18. From the first interaction with Louis we knew we were in good hands. We had never rented a VRBO property before and were a bit nervous about how things would work out. Louis walked us through the entire process before we arrived and helped us with preparations. He arranged a car for us when we arrived at the Paris airport - I highly recommend this, for weary travelers this was heaven - Louis met us at the flat the first day and was available all week via email to answer every question and request we had. He helped us arrange a private tour and brought around a few items we needed as well during the week. Everything functioned as described, including the WiFi. The apartment itself was bright, airy and spacious by French standards - except the toilette and elevator (both very small) but this just added charm to the place. We LOVED the towel warmers. They were fantastic. We had everything we needed to relax and enjoy ourselves. The location was ideal. We had access to a Metro station just a few steps around the corner from the apartment and were centrally located in Paris close enough to get to many major sights by foot including the Pompidou Museum, the Jewish Museum, the Picasso Museum and Notre Dame. Plus the neighborhood is filled with patisseries and boulangeries, several markets and fresh fruit grocers and dozens of cafes (all that we happened into served fantastic food). This apartment made for a wonderful home away from home. We have already told Louis that when we return to Paris we will definitely choose this Angels apartment again. We all hope that we can return soon. I highly recommend it!

More Than Just a Perfect Paris Apartment

Our family of two adults and two college-age children stayed in this lovely apartment for three weeks. I cannot say enough about the great care Louis took to make sure every aspect of our stay fit our living style and personal interests. The sunny, historic apartment was terrific: spotless, charming, and bright. We loved seeing the Pompidou at the end of our street, while feeling far from the noise of tourists. We particularly like the open aspect of the space, the quiet bedrooms in the back (great sleeping), and the expansive layout that allowed for us to go our separate ways while reading, cooking, napping, working, etc. From our central location in the Marais we were able to walk nearly everywhere. When we didn't walk, we never waited more than 2 minutes for a cab, and we were right around the corner from a metro stop. The neighborhood is like a small village with several cafes, a cheese shop, two wine shops, a chocolate store, a fishmonger, a grocery store, a produce market, and several fine bakeries and restaurants. Thanks to Eric and Louis, we were introduced to several of the proprietors and received excellent service and special treatment whenever we shopped on the quaint nearby streets. Louis went out of his way to connect us with excellent tour guides who gave us a true Parisian view of hidden treasures around and outside the city. He also never missed a beat with his recommendations for restaurants, where we often received preferential treatment when his name was dropped. Eric is a talented chef and simply a warm and delightful character who provided private shopping and cooking lessons, complete with wine pairing. With his personalized instruction, we spent a tremendously fun afternoon preparing a delicious, four-course dinner for Christmas Eve. As if all of this was not more than enough, on our last day, when we ran into great difficulties with our return airline reservations, Louis jumped in to help make our last day as wonderful as our first. Throughout our stay, he checked in via email several times to ensure that we were doing well, having fun, and enjoying the apartment. Louis and Eric feel more like friends than apartment owners/managers and the "Angels" apartment seems like a home away from home. We have traveled extensively but this personalized service was a first.

Home for Team Paris!

We found this apartment to be fully functional and full of character. We loved the blend of very old wooden beams and structure but an elevator, endless hot water and heated towel racks! The location is great. We recommend the Batobus on the Seine River as a means of getting around. Louis is great and Eric too. We were a couple and one single person traveling together and felt like we had more than enough room. The WC (there is only one toilet) is located outside of one bedroom so folks in the other bedroom have to negotiate this traverse during the night. (Not a big deal) We would come back to Angels in a minute!

Fresh and quiet apartment and good location

We stayed with our two children age 11 and 9 and it was perfect for our family. The location is very convenient with Metro, bakeries and other food stores just around the corner. After sight seeing and walking all day it was nice to stay "home" some nights watching a movie and relax.The apartment is fresh and delicate and surprisingly quiet, we did not hear any cars/noise from the streets or from the neighbors. Louis is very friendly, responded quickly to my emails and was able to reach during our stay. He also arranged pick-up to/from the airport - very convenient. We would recommend this place.

Cool, comfortable and central

After a blisteringly hot week in the south of France, my main concern was that a top floor Paris apartment would be hot & stuffy in a muggy August. However, the high power fans, as well as the air conditioning unit made this a welcome escape from days in the sun. We did not meet Louis, but he was quickly responsive to emails and to returning deposits etc. We had everything we needed, from comfy beds to a fully equipped kitchen and enough space for a teen daughter to coexist with her parents. The location could not have been more perfect - an entrance to the Rambuteau Metro just steps away, supermarkets and boulangeries around every corner and even a department store (with a TopShop department inside!)for buying umbrellas when it rained. The headspace in the bathtub was not enough to permit standing to shower and the toilet was incredibly claustrophobic, but all in all, this was a luxurious apartment, which we'd definitely recommend.
