Glacier View Lodge är ett Alaska stil hem med två stora wrap-around däck som utnyttjar den spektakulära glaciären. Tvärs över vägen från stranden (kom ihåg vi är i Alaska), går hemmet runt bottenvåningen stort rum och öppet kök. Tre sovrum (2 - 2x dubbelsäng och en kung) och fulla badrum runda ut på bottenvåningen, medan den fjärde (kung) sovrummet och badrummet ligger på golvet ovanför. Unbelievable

A beautiful location and what could be a great house but it obviously hasn't been taken care of for quite a while. Broken down toilets, dishwasher, window screens, blinds, fridge, furniture, the list goes on. Filth everywhere on counters, floors, sinks, etc. Trash all around the outside of the building. Expired food in the refrigerator and cupboards. Dirty dishes put away in the cabinets. Top floor, which would have been epic for the kids, has trash all over it so we had to make sure they didn't go up there. I hope this review helps others with a family.

Best Place to Stay In Haines, Alaska!

After spending nearly three weeks at the Glacier View House, I can safely say that it is one of the best rentals I have ever used with VBRO. The house itself was excellent (exactly as the images and text describe it) and Don & Vinny were excellent hosts. Always willing to help with anything you needed and great at communicating the entire time I was there. I plan on coming back next year and I am already looking forward to staying there once again. If you have a good-sized group, this is probably the BEST place to stay if you are visiting Haines, Alaska. Highly Recommended!

Nice House

Nice home with comfortable beds and amenities. Used as a B&B as well so felt off to find expired condiments and older food. Cell service very sketchy inside, but worked on the porch.

Varför värden valde detta boende

Visiting Alaska is on everybody's bucket list. When we came to Haines in 2013, it was magnetic. Haines is known as the Adventure Capital of Alaska and it is easy to see why - every day. Early on, we stood together at the top of the drive, looked out at the Chilkat, Pyramid Island and the glaciers and all we could say was, "Wow!"

Before purchasing the two buildings and lots that now make up the property, we rented one of the three apartments that make up the Pyramid Island Rental property, next door to the house that became our Glacier View Lodge. It was easy to fall in love with the place - one of the most beautiful locations in Haines - and we continue to live on the property. Whether you are just here on a visit or you choose the adventure as your lifestyle, when your day's activity is done, you can continue to be inspired by your awesome surroundings. Glacier View Lodge offers that inspiration. Sitting on the expansive decks, you can't help but be drawn into the view. And it's not only what you see that makes this a special place. The location is close to but out of town, across the road from the beach and near the state park. The house and expansive decks have been basically completely rebuilt and we have chosen luxury linens and amenities to compliment your stay. We make it easy to cook at home, yet we're close to town so you can enjoy the several great restaurants of Haines. And, have we mentioned the view?
