JULIET - Vackert restaurerad lada med stor pool och utsikt över bergen

Juliet är en stuga med självhushåll med tre sovrum, till fördel för ett stort familjerum och eget duschrum. Två ytterligare sovrum, ett med två enkelsängar och det andra är ett dubbelrum med eget duschrum. Rymden för ytterligare sovande är i loungen. Loungen, matsalen och köket är öppet planerat med en central trappa, gallerielandning och balkong med utsikt över bottenvåningen. Köket är fullt utrustat och innehåller diskmaskin, tvättmaskin, kyl / frys, mikrovågsugn och spis. Satellit-TV, DVD-spelare, stereo och WIFI finns tillgängligt.

Inne i en stor innergård har båda gites privat parkering, grillar och uteplatser med trädgård / matsalsmöbler. Den stora swimmingpoolen, 12. 5m x 5m, är omgiven av omfattande terrasser med solstolar. Här är utsikten av öppen natur och från framsidan av fastigheten är fantastisk utsikt över Pyrenéerna.

Al fresco dining är den franska livsstilen och gites har privata uteplatser och sittplatser för de lata, mjuka natten, kvällsmåltider. Båda har grillar. Fordon har privat parkering och hela fastigheten är säker med en elektronisk gated entré. Ligger i en hektar med trädgårdar med frukt, palmer och buskar. Den gemensamma poolen är 12. 5m x 5m satt på baksidan av fastigheten med omfattande terrasser och solstolar med utsikt över öppna landskapet.

Great stay!

The stay was great! The house was clean and nice bedsheets and towels. One negative aspect of the house it that it very thin walls and floor so you can hear everything thats going on, but for close family it is ok.. the location is very off, really countryside. But beautiful! We were slightly disappontied that we could not walk to a small village to buy bread and have a coffe, that is about 10 mins cardrive away. The poolarea was very nice nd practial with many places to lay down or sit in the shadow. Poolwater nice and clean. One thing that could have improved the stay was if it was possible to have straight access to the pool from out house. We had to walk around the owners/main building to get there. Over all we are happy about soending 9 days at this place!

Très bon séjour

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans le gîte "Juliet", nous étions 7 et chacun a réussi à trouver sa place rapidement sans que nous soyons les uns sur les autres, les pièces sont grandes et confortables, le gîte est joliment restauré. Seul petit bémol, le manque de poêles et casseroles pour cuisiner, même faire des pâtes a été compliqué, mais James nous a promis d'arranger ça très bientôt 😁

Amazing stay in a real hidden gem of an area

We had a wonderful stay. We were warmly welcomed by Deborah and Ron who were on hand for advice on where to visit and for any requirements. The accommodation was spacious and perfect for our family. We visited Marciac for the Jazz Festival, Lourdes, Pau, Pic du Midi - all amazing. We even ventured to San Sebastián which was beautiful and worth the 2 hour drive. The pool was a highlight as well.

Gîte spacieux et bien équipé. Des propriétaires sur place discrets et très charmants. Belle piscine dans un écrin de verdure. Proche de Maubourguet, jolie bourgade et de non loin de Marciac.

Cadre magnifique avec une superbe piscine, endroit très calme. Le gite est spacieux, il nous a manqué un peu de rangement dans les salles d eau cependant. Propriétaires sympathiques.

Première fois en gite

Belle propriété, grande piscine, dans un décor très champêtre, dans une région où la culture du maïs est prioritaire. Les propriétaires sont très discrets, a recommander aux personnes qui aiment le calme. Petit hic, les ustensiles de cuisine pour huit personnes sont un peu sommaires, et auraient besoin d'être renouvelés.

Lovely and calm place - perfect for families and friends

We spent a 9 nights holiday adventure at house Juliet. We were a boygroup in the age of 20 from the beautiful Germany. The arrival at Larreule and at house Juliet was very nice, the introduction with the renters Lucy, James and Deborah was kind and a pleasure. In general the three renters were always available when help was necessary but not intruding in any form. The house was absolutely clean and tidy, everything was like expected from the pictures in the offering. The two bathrooms offered enough space for 8 persons, just like the two (three) bedrooms. The kitchen included all we need and was clean and tidy as well. Our absolute highlight of a stay at house Juliet was the big pool on the outside and the other amenities. Most of the time we spent our time at the pool enjoying the many possibilities to sit. Even having a barbecue is possible. If one want to get sporty it is even possible to play football in the big garden. The location of the house is just perfect for families and groups of friends, being noisy during the day was not a problem for the renters and neighbors. Grocery stores are nearby, with the car not longer than 10 minutes away from the house. There are also nice restaurants and cafés in the cities next to Larreule, also not more than 10 minutes away. All in all our stay at house Juliet was absolutely amazing and we had a really great time. At this point we want to thank Lucy, Deborah and James again for the great opportunity and their lovely holiday renting.

Superbe propriété et gite

Nous avons séjourné à 7 dans le gite Juliet. La pièce de vie en rdc est grande, à l'étage une chambre double avec sdb et possibilité de mettre un matelas pour un enfant, ce que nous avons fait. Sur la droite une chambre de 2 lits simples et en enfilade une grande chambre avec lit double, lit bébé, 2 couchettes et une salle de bain. Nous n'avons pas été gèné par la terrasse danq la cour, c'est agréable d'etre à proximité de la cuisine ou des chambres quand les enfants dorment. La propriété dispose de grands espaces verts et de nombreuses zones de repos sont aménagés, selon les envies. Beaucoup de jeux d'enfant sur place et le côté piscine très agréable. Les propriétaires sont très discrets et nous avons apprécié de discuter avec eux. James, Lucy et leurs parents sont trés accueillants. C'est calme et clos pour les enfants. Supermarché à moins de 10 minutes en voiture et toutes commodités à Maubourguet à une dizaine de minutes de voiture.

Two weeks of wonderful relaxation and weather.

Brilliant place to have our annual vacation. The accommodation was clean, tidy and very welcoming. Our hosts made us feel very much at home, which was important to us and to them as they wanted us to have a relaxing and quiet time whilst with them. The mountains and the sea are within easy reach of the property, which we took full advantage of, leading us to seeing some spectacular views. If you fancy a trip over the Spanish border, then it is a short trip to the town of Jaca where we had a lovely luncheon at what can only be described as more than plentiful and extremely reasonable. We were able to spend many hours around the pool where it was very nice to dip your feet in the pool whilst reading a good book which we took full advantage of. The hosts are always available for advice regarding the local area but not invasive.

Belle propriété au calme, avec un regret sur la disponibilité de la piscine et de la terrasse

Un accueil agréable et une présentation claire des règles de fonctionnement du gîte lors de notre arrivée. Le gîte est très bien rénové et équipé, mais un gros bémol sur deux points non précisés sur la description : la piscine (partagée avec le 2e gîte "Roméo") n'est pas accessible le soir après 19h30, de même que la terrasse principale du gîte (les propriétaires qui occupent le corps principal se réservent l'endroit pour le soir). En revanche accès libre dès 10h. Pour la terrasse, idem : les locataires bénéficient d'une terrasse privée mais donnant sur la cour et le parking (pas de photo en ligne d'ailleurs, seul le corps principal est présenté d'extérieur). Du coup compliqué pour les soirées à huit et le barbecue...

Had a lovely stay in Valentine Gite, Juliet. the Gite was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Spacious and airy. Loved the quiet, peaceful country setting. Idyllic. Would definitely recommend and hopefully return some day. The owners were friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. The local nature parks are easy to find and well worth the day trips. Thank-you Valentines for a lovely break.

Lovely holiday

The gite was lovely, clean and well furnished. The pool was great and the chickens a hit with our kids. We BBq'd most nights and supplies were easily obtained from the Super U 5 mins drive away. The owners have a wealth of information on places to visit and restaurants if you're interested. We were fortuante in that our visit coincided with the jazz festival in Marciac which, like the wine festival in Madiran, had a plathora of places to eat, shop and enjoy life with the locals. The festivals around here are well supported by local people so are valuably French. We also had a day out at Pont d'Espagne in the Pyrenees where we travelled by chairlift as well as walked around Lake Gaube which is beautifully blue.

Perfect Pyrenees / Great Gite

We have just returned from our stay in Larreule and want to say a huge thank you to Ron, Debi, James and Lucy for a wonderful holiday. The Gite was spotlessly clean and well equipped, bedding and towels were super fresh and fluffy and the showers were amazing. The owners are on hand to give advice about places to visit and to ensure you get the most out of your holiday but are discreet so as not to disturb you. The location is ideal on two counts:- It is quiet and therefore you can relax in peace and quiet and safely cycle to the supermarket and tennis court. (making sure your children get squirted by the farmers water cannons of course) It is 40 minutes from Lourdes which is a really interesting day out. Cauterets is about 1 hour away and is a hidden treasure in the Pyrenees (Be sure to take warm clothes especially if you take the ski lift as it gets quite chilly) Biarritz is a bit further afield but well worth the drive especially if you like to surf/body board. We also fitted in a Tapas lunch in Spain (Les is just over the border and the views on the drive there are amazing) The pool was a particular hit with our children as it was a good size and when they had enough there was a lovely garden to play in. (I best not mention the lawn mower) Excellent value for money and would certainly recommend it to a friend.

We have been coming to France for over 38 years and decided to make it our permanent home in 2006, with both our children (in their 30's) joining us here in 2010. The restoration of our gites has been a labour of love, with all the family helping to renovate them. We have three young English Springer Spaniels and we all love the 'Good Life'!

The area offers us everything with its micro-climate in winter to many days of summer sun and comfortable climate all year round. The mountains for skiing in winter, the beaches in the Pyrenees Atlantic in summer and rural living are perfect for everyone's taste. This friendly area with its beautiful countryside is perfect and Spain is just an hour away where we lunch with friends at weekends and take in the Spanish mountain views, cuisine and lifestyle.

We live in the middle of a rural community with very friendly and helpful French neighbours. Convenient to all local activities and amenities in the pretty market town of Maubourguet which is close by. During the summer months there is a host of local activities where everyone can enjoy the ambiance from wine tasting to the jazz festival in Marciac and many village fetes where locals eat, drink and enjoy life . Maubourguet boasts the largest fete which continues for 4 days and includes a funfair, singing and street dancing. It also has a recognised cultural and arts centre of excellence.
