Breathtaking views, beautiful overlooks. Location easy to walk everywhere in Lacoste. From the open patio, one can hear the sounds of Cafe de France below, along with musicians on select nights. Fabulous projector for movie viewings - take advantage of the host’s collection or bring your own DVD’s. Welcome bottle of wine much appreciated.

Gorgeous, unique property in a setting that is breathtaking! Easy arrival, quick and easy communication with the homeowner. The house itself was very clean, very well-equipped, beautifully decorated with the owner's touch that made it feel like a home and not an impersonal rental. Breakfast and apéro on the terrace overlooking the hills and Bonnieux in the distance was nothing short of magical. The rooms are very quiet, the town of Lacoste also peaceful and magical with a very interesting mix of art students, locals and visitors (like us).

Quaint, quirky, with everything you might need in the house. Very comfortable bed! Beautiful scenery, peaceful location. Lovely view from the balcony. Free parking is very easy near to the house. A couple of places in the village are open for lunch, and there is a local grocery store. There are several easily accessed walks around the village and to neighbouring Bonnieux.

Beautiful Lacoste

Great location, amazing views. A delightful apartment; literally sleeping in a cave! Rosé on the terrace as the sunset is reflected on Bonnieux.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful setting

We had a wonderful 5 night stay in Lacoste and the communication with Katharine was fantastic. We felt very welcomed. The house had everything we needed and the bedroom kept cool, for what was a very hot July! We loved sitting on the terrace and the views were absolutely beautiful.

We stayed for 6 nights and were very sad to leave. It is a delightful accommodation for exploring numerous small towns in the region. Katharine is a wonderful host who provided quick responses to our questions. The bedrooms are comfortably cool and dark for sleeping. The patio provides a sweet place to relax and view the gorgeous Provence landscape. The kitchen is very well equipped for making meals and the dining table large for meals and other activities. There is ample room for 4 people to share the space. The stairs up into the living space are lovely, but could be challenging for some visitors. Thanks to Katharine for sharing this space for visitors to the region. We would return in a heartbeat ...

Incredible stay in the Luberon

Wonderful in village apartment in Lacoste. Easy access to the surrounding villages. Small quiet beautiful hill town. 2 cafes in town with small market. SCAD ( Savanah College of Art and Design) campus. Cobblestones small streets with great view of Bonnieux directly across the Cavalon valley

La Figue in Lacoste

This is our second stay at La Figue, And it is still a lovely apartment with a magical view. Katherine checks in to make sure all is well, and it feels quite personal. We will come again.

Wonderful seat in the Luberon

We absolutely loved the week we spent at Katharine’s apartment! It was sparkling clean, had fantastic views, and was a nice cool sanctuary from the summer heat. It’s also clearly a personal country apartment lovingly cared for. Katharine was a responsive host and all went smoothly checking in and out. Be aware the entrance is up a short but very steep hill with a steep set of stairs right inside the door. We enjoyed eating our meals on the little balcony and would happily stay here again any day.

We loved our week stay in Lacoste at La Figue. Afternoons on the deck with tea, wine, or pastis while gazing down on the green fields and farms or across to the next village are sublime. Views to die for!

We loved our week stay in Lacoste at La Figue. Afternoons on the deck with tea, wine, or pastis while gazing down on the green fields and farms or across to the next village are sublime. Charming Little Apartment

This delightful little apartment was absolutely perfect for our stay in the area. It has everything you need if you like to cook and "eat in". It is compact and well organized. The little terrace was wonderful - a great spot to have morning coffee or appies and wine. Katherine was a great communicator. We had trouble finding the place as our GPS was wrong and the charming little village of Lacoste is not traversable by car. Katherine guided us through the steps to get to her place, perched on the side of the cliff atop which sits the castle once owned by the Marquis de Sade. All in all, a perfect stay. Highly recommended!

Lacoste apartment

This apartment in Lacoste was an ideal base for exploring the Luberon villages and countryside. We had a car so we learned how to find parking in the village. We rented e-bikes in Bonnieux and rode all over the valley, not using the car for days. The apartment is up a steep cobblestone lane, then steep entry stairs, and steep internal stairs. But all this “up” provides spectacular views, especially from the little patio. Our host Katharine was responsive and helpful throughout the process. The kitchen had everything we needed and the bed and bath were fine. We would definitely stay there again!

Where you feel Provence's athmosphere

We spent a lovely week in this unique property. The balcony where we spent most of our time when we were in the property has an excellent view of the Hills of Luberon and neighbouring Bonnieux. The property is well equipped with things that a guest may need during the vacation. The property's decor is stylish. The real unique thing is that the bedroom is like a cave since part of the property when built was carved in the hillside. We loved the property and the village of Lacoste with its tiny streets and beautiful stone buildings. The nearby restaurant is a nice place to have dinner while you can enjoy the panaorama from its terrace. Lacoste is an excellent centre-point for visiting Provence's places of interest.

A Gem in the Luberon

Katharine’s maison de village is located in the middle of one of the most beautiful villages in Southern France with stunning views of Bonnieux, another quaint medieval hilltop village, and the Luberon Mountains. It is a well-designed and nicely furnished home with the unique features of two very comfortable cave-like bedrooms built into the rock of the hillside and a terrace with fabulous views. My partner and I enjoyed five nights at the house which could easily accommodate two couples. We used it as our base to cycle around the Luberon Valley, which has routes for every level of cycling ability and many beautiful villages to explore. The house is also within an hour drive to Mt. Ventoux for epic climbs as well as Aix, Les Baux, St. Remy, and Avignon for visiting wonderful historic sites. We plan to return.

keeping cool in hilltop village

this is a wonderful house, built into the hillside in a 'perched village'. Fantastic views from the terrace and the living room, but with bedrooms like caves, carved out of the solid rock, cool and dark and conducive to a very good night's sleep. The house is well-equipped and comfortable and we loved it. It should be noted that it is reached by a very steep cobbled road with no vehicle access and then steep steps up to the door, with more up to the living quarters. The village is delightful but much of it is now occupied by the Savannah College of Art and Design. There is no shop but there is a bustling cafe. The castle is interesting and unusual and we were able to attend a concert in the church and one of the weekly film showings in the Temple. There is plenty to do in the area, and vines, lavender, orchards and olives all around!

Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist sehr zentral und doch ruhig gelegen. Der Ausblick ist traumhaft. Die Ausstattung in der Wohnung hat an nichts fehlen lassen. Der Kontakt zur Vermieterin war problemlos und freundlich. Wir konnten unsere 2 E-Biles mit etwas Kraftaufwand im Treppenhaus unterstellen. Es gibt sehr viele Ausflugsziele die von Lacoste aus mit dem Rad oder Auto gut erreichbar sind. Die Rad- und Wanderwege und Sehenswürdigkeiten sind sehr gut beschildert.Wir würden dieses Haus und seine Umgebung jederzeit wieder besuchen!

Un séjour parfait !

On recommande fortement cet bel appartement, situe en plein coeur du village de Lacoste. L’appartement est beaucoup plus spacieux que les photos en ligne montrent et c’est aussi bien restauré avec de belles vues des montagnes. Les deux chambres sont bien séparées, avec une chambre complètement sculptée d’un montagne, et l’autre chambre dans une cave. Katharine est une hôte parfaite, elle nous a répondu rapidement. L’appartement est aussi bien fourni avec tout dont vous avez besoin. Merci Katharine pour un séjour excellent !

Traumhaft!

Die Wohnung ist sehr gemütlich und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, eine Mischung aus modernen und schönen alten Möbeln. Die Schlafzimmer sind tatsächlich an den Fels gebaut. Wunderschöne Türen und Bodenfliesen. Ein herrlicher Blick über die Landschaft hinüber nach Bonnieux. Das ganze Städtchen ist voller dieser Steinhäuser und Gässchen, sehr romantisch. Im kleinen Laden gibt es täglich frisches Baguette, Croissants und andere Dinge des täglichen Bedarfs. Es gibt auch sehr schöne Cafés bzw Restaurants und Mittwochs morgens einen kleinen Markt. Die anderen Läden verkaufen Kunst unterschiedlichster Art, da am Ort eine Kunstakademie ist. In der Nähe gibt es weitere sehr schöne Städtchen und Dörfer, typisch Provence! In 10 km Entfernung gibt es Supermärkte und eine Tankstelle. Der Abschied viel mir schwer.

Zauberhafte Unterkunft mit herrlicher Aussicht

Unsere Erwartungen wurden weit übertroffen. Sehr schöne und gut ausgestattete Höhlenwohnung. Auch bei heißen Temperaturen ist die Wohnung angenehm kühl. Absolutes Highlight ist die kleine Terrasse, auf der man den Morgen beginnen und den Abend ausklingen lassen kann mit wunderbarem Ausblich auf Bonnieux und den Luberon. Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin war perfekt und sehr freundlich. Im Supermarkt ist alles notwendige erhältlich.

Einfach toll!

Wir können uns den anderen positiven Rezensionen nur anschließen. Auf Fragen an die Vermieter wurde prompt und freundlich geantwortet. Der kleine Supermarkt hat 7 Tage die Woche geöffnet und bekommt jeden morgen frische Baguettes, Croissants etc. von einem Bäcker. Mittwochs ist ein kleiner Markt im Ort. Es war ein rundum schöner Aufenthalt. Vielen Dank dafür!
