Wonderful and peaceful.

Well appointed home in a cozy area off the main path. We enjoyed our visit tremendously - close to Aspen and other beautiful locations.

Love this home!

We have stayed here twice now, and love it. Very homey, clean, cozy ... great views, feels remote yet super close to town. This is our favorite place to stay in Carbondale!

I don't have enough good words. The property is simply lovely, wonderfully built and decorated. We came at night, so it wasn't until the morning I could ogle the unique and beautiful wood carvings around, above and near the doors. Easy to get to (don't worry about the dirt roads) yet out in the "country." We loved pausing to say "Hi" to the cows and horses. Doran was super responsive and helpful. It took a minute to get used to the one bathroom being attached to the main bedroom upstairs, but with a little coordination among guests. it's just fine. Don't hesitate to put the two thermostats all the way down--it holds the heat well. Thank you for the caring and homey space!

Excellent get away!

Our stay was amazing. This place is gorgeous and very well kept. Being so close to town was an added bonus. We would highly recommend this place to others looking to get away and enjoy some great relaxation time along with some fun to boot.

Great location and comfortable property.

Stayed in August for the first time and booked again for skiing. Great access to downtown Carbondale. Nicely decorated and very comfortable for a couple.

Quite, clean and convenient!

Host was friendly and a good communicator. Easy to commute throughout the Roaring Fork Vally. Perfect place for our family and dog.

Great getaway

What a gorgeous space! Lots of wildlife (a nest of baby robins, an owl and a couple young bucks), green grass for the kids to play, beautiful view and a sweet cozy house. We loved visiting Carbondale and exploring neighboring Glenwood Springs.

We absolutely loved staying here and were sad to leave. The property was super comfortable and very clean. Everything you could possible need is there. It's in a great location for different day trips. We have stayed in many VRBOs, but this property is definitely one of the nicest properties we have stayed. If we come back to Carbondale, we will stay here again.

Quiet Getaway

Fun times with family in a unique and quiet farm setting with a large yard to throw the football and frisbee. Next time we would bring our bicycles to ride on a path 28.5 miles to Aspen.

Wonderful Location!

Beautiful location. Feels isolated, yet close to town. Great yard with a stream for exploring and the nearby farm animals are fun to visit. The home is really clean, has everything that is needed, a stocked kitchen, is very comfortable, and has cozy beds. The property manager was quick to reply with questions and friendly. If you are a family of four, bring an air mattress as the couches do not have sleepers. Would stay again!

The inside of the house was clean and well furnished but the outside was covered in cobwebs. The BIG issue is that the master bedroom and only bathroom is upstairs. This is not noted on the website. Since we are older and prefer not to have stairs we would never have booked this property if we had known.

Get out of town without giving up the convenience of town.

We really enjoyed our time here. There was plenty of space inside and a good area for walking our dog. We saw deer, elk, and a variety of birds. At night you could see the stars shining bright. Our only wish was for a little more baking supply in the kitchen. I made two lasagnas and had to borrow a casserole dish from my aunts rental. The pots and pans were in good supply, just not baking dishes.

Beautiful property with few minor issues

Loved the property and house; however, the couch isn't very comfortable, possibly the back supports are broke? Televisions are way too small and far from seating. Hard to have privacy in the main bedroom, when the only bathroom is in it. The only other negative is that there is an exterior door off the 2nd bedroom which is drafty and not very secure. Has all the essentials you could want for cooking, plenty of towels, laundry on site. Would stay at again, but would like to see some of the minor improvements.

Beyond beyond

We enjoyed the beautiful mornings and evenings hanging outside with views of Mt Sopris on the porch or in the lawn. The open first floor kitchen and dining room was fun to cook in and watch our concert dvds. The furnishings were lovely and comfortable. We had everything we needed during our stay from the kitchen to the bathroom. We took day trips but we looked forward to return to the house to cook and spend our evenings there. There was a window AC unit in the upstairs bedroom but we preferred to let the fresh air in through the open windows. The house was cool and comfy at night with 80 degree day temps. All of the horses within view of the house were a bonus to watch. A sensory delight! We felt very comfortable even though the main house was next door. It felt like our own space and we look forward to booking a return visit.

Deceptive description, poor setup

Owner required full amount at time of booking 3+ months prior to stay. The second bedroom only has access to bathroom after going up a flight of stairs and entering the master bedroom. There is no way to use the bathroom other than within the upstairs bedroom making it extremely awkward for all. We paid a considerable amount for cleaning and then asked to launder bedding, towels, run dishwasher and take out trash when leaving. There is only one patio with very poor furniture. Other “patio” is the parking area adjacent to another house and drive. Ice maker doesn’t work. Upstairs very warm. Need stool to turn on fan Huge dryer stacked on top of huge washer were great but need step stool to access dryer controls. No instructions for that, or TV etc. SEWAGE smell with the wind shift maybe from livestock? Place was clean and well stocked.
