Cousins trip

Great location on Emerald Island. The 4 star rating reflects a strong musty odor in the 2nd bedroom and limited household supples: partial role of paper towels, one detergent pod for the washer, no plastic wrap or aluminum foil, one extra trash bag. These supplies were not specifically listed but certainly make an easier stay for guests.

Perfect location!

We had the best time! PJ is very responsive and made sure the entire process was hassle-free. Everything about the place was perfect. It’s very cozy, short walk to the beach, amazing view from the deck, and close to shops and food. The condo was stocked with everything you need for a great day at the beach as well. It felt like home away from home! Highly recommended from a family of 5.

Perfect Haven for a Get-Away

We loved staying at this lovely, bright and clean condo! The hubs and I loved sitting on the third floor deck that has an ocean view. We loved being a short walk to the beach and the beauty of the property. We will be back for sure!

Relaxing and quiet

We had a wonderful and peaceful stay. Great location with plenty of places to eat a short dive away. The beach is a few steps away and really nice. Great views from the deck and front porch !

Sunshine and a wedding

A stay at the beach

This condo was absolutely great!!! Everything was exactly as explained in the listing. Very nice,neat and clean and we were welcomed and in contact with the owner. Couldn't have asked for anything better..short distance to everything from fishing at the pier to the beach to shopping or restaurants. Checkin/out was extremely easy and the condo was very organized. Very quiet and relaxing and we cant wait to go back🙂

Love Pier Point! The views are amazing. We were able to see dolphins a couple days. Condo was wonderful, has everything you need! Look forward to going back in the near future!

Great Beach Condo

This is a great location with a short walk to the beach. No need to bring much from home as there is a Dollar General one block away. Also a Publix and Food Lion with 5 miles. We enjoyed the view and the location being central to many activities. PJ was great with info and answers. Internet speed was enough to stream Netflix and Amazon Prime with no problems. Great value based upon our other trips.

Affordable price. Great view. We really felt at home. The property manager communicated well with us. The bedrooms were roomy and comfortable. We brought our own linens and towels. Overall happy with our stay. Throughout all of this pandemic mess, we felt that things were “normal” again here. We hope to be back soon! Thanks again for everything.

Relaxing Getaway

PJ is very responsive. Condo is very clean, comfortable, and well furnished. Great beach access in the community. With the longer winter evenings, I could have used stronger reading lamps in the living room and bedroom. Great location for activities - easy access to nature trails at Cedar Point and Fort Macon, and close to NC Aquarium. About halfway between retail / restaurant areas in Emerald Isle and Indian Beach. Overall a wonderful time away before the new year.

Great view, spacious living inside, and clean. No elevator, difficult for anyone handicapped

We had a really nice stay. The views of the ocean are beautiful and perfect to sit out and watch while drinking coffee. There was a pack n play and high hair which was perfect for our little baby. The owner is quick to respond and super friendly. I highly recommend this little beach getaway. Great location between Emerald Isle and Pone Knolls. The only thing to consider would be if you have any mobility problems or physical limitations that would make walking up stairs difficult. Lots of stairs!

Review

Property was clean and for most part accurate with the information from online. Few issues that we encountered that prevent us to give all 5’s. First, when we got to the apartment the temperature inside the apartment was 80 degrees. After lowering the temperature it did not dropped. After calling the property manager and going through some instructions, she instructed us to open the doors and windows to get the temperature down. By 8:00pm after coming back from dinner the temperature was still at 80 degrees. Second, the some drapes from the sliding doors were missing and a whole window in the dinner room was missing completely. The drapes in the main room, lets just said, i was able to see the next building neighbor watching the baseball game even with the drapes down. There were no privacy. So we slept with windows opened to get the apartment cool and with little privacy. Third, it would have been nice to know that both showers were 2x3. I’m not a huge guy but even at 250lb was extremely hard to take a shower, as I couldn’t bend over. Few cosmetics issues that prevented us to have an awesome experience with this property.

Good experience; enjoyable stay

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It was our first trip to Emerald Isle and we found we liked it better than the Outer Banks. The location of the condo is nice. There is a public access beach parking lot right next to the condo which means lifeguards are close by. The beach was crowded but not so much so that it was not enjoyable. As to the actual property, we found the sofa sleeper comfortable and easy to use. There was plenty of room for the 5 of us utilizing that sofa sleeper. We found the owner easy to deal with and responsive. We found the description of the property and photos to be very accurate. There are only 2 minor things we didn't like: 1) the kitchen is not well stocked for those who like do a lot of cooking. We have kids with food allergies so we try to avoid restaurants as much as possible. There are lots of pots and pans but they are not of the quality where you can cook good bacon and eggs. There is no vegetable peeler. For the casual cook, these things are probably not a big deal. 2) we found the policy of needing to wash all the sheets (or lose part of your security deposit) to be frustrating. Traveling with 5 people from Chicago meant a 15 hour drive and a van full of stuff. We didn't want to pack our own sheets and therefore found ourselves getting up 2 hours earlier (before a 15 hour drive) the day we left so we could have time to wash, dry, and fold all the sheets as required. I honestly wonder if some people simply fold and put away the sheets dirty to avoid this. We did not, but if we stayed here again I would either rewash the sheets upon our arrival or bring our own as this policy definitely encourages people to think about cutting corners. It was a great vacation overall.

We have 3 kids and bought the beach house when the oldest two were small. Emerald Isle is the perfect beach for families with children.

Our condo is equipped with an extensive collection of Disney movies, beach toys, 2 beach chairs, umbrella, boogie board, skim board, high chair and pack-n-play, as well as tv/vcr in the kids' room.

The rate you see is discounted for those who want to provide their own linens. We can arrange linen rental for an additional fee.

Varför värden valde detta boende

Emerald Isle is the best family beach in North Carolina. Perfect for kids. Plenty to do, and really quiet in the off season. A small, friendly town, with wide beaches.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Kayak in the sound, spend the day at the beach, grill out on the lawn, swim at night in the pool. Spend a couple of hours at Fort Macon, or take a day trip to Harker's Island to ride horses on the beach. Ferry over to Cape Lookout and shell and enjoy the historic lighthouse. Spend a day checking out Beaufort, take a ferry ride and learn about Blackbeard's pirating in the area, go to the Maritime Museum (free) and see artifacts from his sunken ship, the Queen Anne's Revenge. Spend a morning or afternoon at the North Carolina Aquarium. Rent a pontoon or motor boat and travel the intercoastal waterway, dock and have lunch in quaint Swansboro.
