Detta nyrenoverade hem har en privat pool med två olika utsiktsplatser - en av Canyon Lake och dess damm och ett av Texas Hill Country. Denna fem hektar fristad sitter på en av de högsta punkterna i området i ett privat grannskap med underbara solnedgångar och en vacker stjärnaklubb på natten.

Vad finns i närheten:
Canyon Lake erbjuder båt och jet ski uthyrning, liksom strand simbassänger, cirka sju miles away. Golf på Lakeside Golf Club eller The Club at Rebecca Creek. Guadalupe-floden är en sommar- och vinterdestination med slang och flugfiske för fiskaren, bara åtta mil bort. I de små närliggande städerna finns det gott om antikviteter att göra, liksom många matställen från snabba taco / grillhytter till exklusiva restauranger. Gruene är känd för Gristmill Restaurant och Gruene Hall, Texas äldsta Dance Hall. Och under året har området också festivaler som Wurstfest och New Braunfels.

obsessed!

the location, house, pool and view were all amazing!! exceeded our expectations and we'd definitely stay again! only downside was the beds were extremely uncomfy, but other than that, 10/10!!

The View

Older home with a great panorama of the area. Modern open kitchen. Open downstairs perfect for group visiting. Everyone enjoyed the patios and just doing nothing. We shall return I have been instructed.

Great Stay

We enjoyed our stay and have been taking about coming back again in the future. The only complaint we had was we couldn’t figure out how to turn pool lights on at night and the pool wasn’t clean

You are paying for the view

The location and views are gorgeous. The house itself, however, is in need of renovations. 1980s wallpaper that is peeling and stained, stained bathtubs, broken cabinets, etc. The bed linens are in rough shape. Stained mattresses and pillows.

Great as always

We stay here every year. It’s perfect for a relaxing weekend with friends or family. The beds are so comfortable I sleep better than at home! And you seriously can’t beat the view.

Nice Private Getaway!

Master bedroom bed was cushy. Loved the couches to relax on at night while watching some Netflix. The large kitchen island is amazing for setting up everything food/drink wise and the big dining table was great as well. The views are amazing! Don't forget to walk down the little path near the front door. There's a great spot to sit and has a great view. It was a little cold for the pool but we used it anyway and it has a good deep end (6ft). The house is in a great private area too! Will definitely be back at some point!

Our vacation house so far

Everything was wonderful. The views are stunning. Our family I very large so finding a place where everyone can sleep comfortable was wonderful. The primary suite was colossal and a perfect retreat for my 87 year old mother in law. We would recommend providing a first aid kit but if not next time we will bring our own! Thank you for this lovely experience!

Peaceful Getaway

Property was very outdated but spacious and charming. Loved the view from the poolside and the patio. Very peaceful and secluded on one of the highest hilltops overlooking the whole town including the lake. Going up and down the hill in vehicle was a little scary because the road is very narrow but we encountered very few vehicles going back and forth and everyone was cautious.

Great view

House is in serious need of updates but the location/view was great. Not a great choice for children as some of of the needed updates are safety issues. Nails sticking out of floor in entryway and missing kitchen drawers have sharp knives exposed.

Long Weekend at Maverick mountaintop

Views are incredible. House is on top of mountain with gradual drop offs on three sides. Can see Canyon Lake and hill country for miles. Very private. Pool is good. And two patios are spacious. House clean and comfortable. House and grounds are older style, but very homey. Kitchen spacious and well equipped. Grill newer and worked great. Pool was a little dirty with pollen dust, when arrived, but Vacasa was very responsive and quick to respond with pool cleaner the next day. We very much enjoyed our 5 day stay. We look forward to returning.

Mountain top retreat

The property has good bones and great views. However, the house has many maintenance needs. In addition, ants were a problem. The pool was our salvation. The outdoor grill was a plus since most of the meals we cooked were on it. However, it was not initially clean from its previous use. All in all, it was a good stay and the family enjoyed the seclusion.

4 days stay

There is a very bad big problem if the grass was mowed it may have been better outside but inside there are many bugs it needs to be sprayed. The inside needs a update and would have liked bigger pots to cook for a whole family. Lights definitely need to be labeled and we had a difficult time finding the home at first but other than that it was over all good we enjoyed it very much. Would stay here again if some things where taken care of.

Pool was not clean great. Hot tub doesn't work. Beds were completely horrible, rather slept on the couch instead. Some beds didn't have clean sheets on it. I had to wash them before. The floors weren't cleaned/dishes in dishwasher from guest before weren't done. Overall I would never stay here! The communication to host was very slow.

Beautiful location- home needs TLC

The home and surrounding property were just the right size for our pre-thanksgiving get away. We had 4 children and 5 adults and there was plenty to do. From walks in the area to a small stockpile of board games inside. The home, however, is in dire need of maintenance. Multiple door knobs in the kitchen were missing or fell off when pulled. The kitchen had food left behind from previous renters and was not closed properly. We didn’t see any bugs, but there was certainly an invitation. The app listed a dishwasher but when we arrived, there was a sign that said starting it would be a fire hazard. When we opened it, it had clearly been months since it worked. It really should be removed as a feature or replaced. All the kitchen appliances appear to be from the original build, 1983, but worked fine. The site also lists 3 full bathrooms when there are only 2 showers with a half bath. The furniture is very old and worn. I was worried the kids would break the coffee table, so we moved it out of the living room. Ping pong was a huge hit and left us with some fun evenings after dinner. We enjoyed our time and hope to be back when some love has been put into the home

View was spectacular.

Million dollar property only because of the fabulous view of Canyon Lake and Dam. House needs some loving repairs and safety fixes. 1. Front door does not lock easily from the inside 2. Kitchen is ill-equipped. Only 6 coffee cups, needs a Keurig coffee maker, no casserole dishes, no ice maker(there but not working), broke front on drawer. 3. Pool and hot tub had algae issue when we got there. Pool service came next day and cleaned it. 4. Entire patio and pool surround is a little precarious when trying to walk around. Stones have shifted and cracked making it unlevel. Kind of unsafe for small children and seniors. Needs to be railed 100% around to prevent falling of ledge on left side. 5. Ceiling fans in some areas need to be replaced or at least service since they do not work. 6. There are so many light switches. They need to be labeled so you know which switch turns on what light or fan. 7. The gas grill needs to be replaced. It was dirty and unusable because both propane tanks were empty. Even though the house was not up to our usual standards(we have used VRBO for 10+ yrs), we enjoyed our stay because of the view/location.

Bad experience, do not recommend

Its a large home with an amazing view that would have given us a great experience if the home was better taken care of. We booked the home for easter weekend and found that the home was outdated which isn’t a problem, but we did find some big problems with the house that made it difficult for us to enjoy our stay. Upon arrival we notice that the outdoor jacuzzi was empty, so we called to ask if it could be filled but apparently it was broken. Later on that day we were going to have a cook out and get into the pool, but none of the outdoor lights were working, so we decided to cook something else inside and give them a call the following day. We try cooking inside but it was very hard, because even though we had the burners on low it was very hot and had to pull the pans away constantly to prevent everything from burning. The pans did not help either, because they were bad and all bended. Also none of the doors had locks not even in the restrooms so it was uncomfortable for everyone since we were two different families. Some of the knobs were also broken and in one occasion my 6 year old niece got lock in the bedroom for 45 minutes, because the door knob came off through the inside and she didn't know what to do. The following day we try calling about the outdoor lights, but the lady from vacasa we spoke with said that the maintenance guy was out for the week and they couldn’t send anyone. We decided to buy some outdoor lights ourselves and called homeaway directly and they said that they couldn’t do anything that we had to call the property manager which was the lady from Vacasa. We try calling again, but another lady answered and was being rude saying that they couldn't do anything about it. Over all it was a bad experience and I would not recommend this property unless those problems actually got resolve. The only reason i gave it two stars instead of one is because that property has a great view and a lot of potential if it was properly managed.
