Stay at the stone house.

The house is quaint and beautiful, located on a quiet side street making it private yet walkable to the center of Saint Emilion. Isabelle was wonderful. We will plan to stay again.

Beautiful Gite in a Great Location

The house is large and beautifully maintained. It is in a perfect location in St. Emilion and was a good place to be a springboard for travel around the vineyards in the area. The house was very tastefully decorated. There was a nice outside sitting area. There are two large bedrooms upstairs. One has a shower and sink in the bedroom. Between the two bedrooms is a toilet room. There is a full bathroom with toilet and shower downstairs. The placement of the bathrooms made sharing them a bit awkward with figuring out which to use. A toilet in the bedroom shower room would really help. The owner initially seemed abrupt (she showed some irritability with me not understanding how to work the shutters). There were a number of rules to follow (not walking on the carpeting with shoes, the shutters) that seemed overwhelming and made us quite cautious throughout the time of our stay. Aside from that I would still heartily recommend the Gite and the owner was very nice when we checked out.

Beautiful location, walking distance to many vineyards and the village. Lots of wine shops with very knowledgeable staff, wonderful food. The gite was spacious and clean. Great place for group a get away

St Emilion at your doorstep

Isabelle’s home is in the in the absolute perfect location to explore the numerous wineries in the St Emilion village. She was awaiting our arrival, gave perfect direction on the layout and then even walked one of our family members into the village to show the location for our reservation for dinner that evening. I want to go back now! Thank you, Isabelle! We will come back.

Beautiful home in the vineyards

If you are looking for a great home close to all St Emilion has to offer, this home is it. You open the gate to a big gravel area for your car bordered by a large grass lawn complete with many loungers. The house is lovely with a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge on the main floor. Roomy bedrooms (3) are upstairs. There are two bathrooms one up and a large one downstairs. We really enjoyed our stay there. You are a 5 minute walk to the centre of town with its many restaurants and wine stores. To be enjoyed.

Outstanding stay!

We were looking for a place close to St Emilion and this checked all the boxes!! Lovely home with excellent amenities in the the kitchen and a comfortable space for friends and family. Five minute walk into the picturesque village of St Emilion. Very quiet and a bonus was walking through the local vineyards on their many trails. Our host, Isabelle, was very responsive and helpful.

délicieux avec quelques inconvénients

nous avons passé un agréable moment dans cette belle maison historique. Cependant, avec la chaleur, vous ne pouvez pas ouvrir les fenêtres à cause des moustiques et des chauves-souris qui volent. Parce que les fenêtres devaient rester ouvertes à cause de la chaleur, nous avons été dérangés par des moustiques dans la cuisine et la chambre et nous avons été réveillés par toutes sortes de bruits, dont un voisin ivre. J'ai demandé au propriétaire un ventilateur mais il n'y a pas eu de réponse pendant plusieurs jours. Malheureusement, le propriétaire n'a pas pu nous aider. heureusement, il faisait un peu plus frais la deuxième semaine. Certaines choses sont datées dans la maison mais ne pouvaient pas gâcher le plaisir. L'emplacement, la ville, la vue sont fantastiques. Le propriétaire était très sympathique et courtois quand nous sommes partis quand il s'est avéré que nous avions des dégâts mineurs. S'il y avait un ventilateur dans la chambre, nous recommanderions certainement cette maison. peut-être que d'autres saisons que le milieu de l'été sont plus attrayantes.

2020 replanned trip.

The property was good. The host does not speak English and I do not speak French. There is always room for mid-interpretation which happened with when we were supposed to advise on when we were to check in. Because of this, the host was rude. She was rude throughout the entire check in process. She supplies nothing, you need to clean and she charges for additional (different) cleaning and she wanted to come to check the place before our check-out date. We have stayed in many short term rentals in France and other countries and own short term rentals ourselves and have never experienced anything like this before. Truly a downer to our vacation.

The location of this property is excellent for visiting St Emilion. This is a wonderful family home which is maintained to an immaculate standard so you need to treat the property with the greatest respect. Isabelle is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Beautiful property, great location!

A great property just outside of the main part of St Emilion. Loved the location - took just 5 mins to walk into town. And St Emilion is amazing! The property worked for our group of 3 couples, but the bathroom set up was a bit different. The master bedroom had just a shower/sink (no toilet). There was a toilet/sink in the upstairs hallway for all 3 bedrooms. And a full bath (with toilet and bath and a shower nozzle) on the main floor. So it was a bit of juggling to get ready in the morning. The 70 euro “optional” cleaning fee isn’t really optional. We were told to fully clean the house before leaving - up to and including bathrooms and wiping down chrome. But we were still charged the full cleaning fee. Be aware that the check in and check out both were a longer process than normal, with lots of instructions. But they were helpful to understand the property. Would definitely recommend staying here. Was really nice to have on-site parking for 3+ cars so close to the city. Beautiful property and location!
