Complicated situation...

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This review has many layers to it. The house was just what we wanted. Nice area. Clean. AC units worked great! Close to beaches. Actually a well appointed cottage. BUT... there is major construction across the street which is literally about 20 feet away. A huge house is being built and workers started at 7am. Yelling, loud music, power tools. House will be done by the end of this year, according to the builder.Septic tank was replaced the week before our arrival. Entire yard was mud and grass seed. Owner offered small compensation which was appreciated. Here's one of those layers - MarthaMurray could not have been more professional, courteous and helpful! They went above and beyond to help us find another house nearby, in fact several houses. And we were leaving in less than a week! Thank you so much for all you did for us to make this work. We decided to stay put because my family was also renting on the same street and we all wanted to be close to each other. To be honest, I'd rent this place again despite the "goings on" across the street and septic fiasco. This was clearly an odd situation and while annoying it was still a nice vacation for my family.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was my third time renting tis house. The house itself is great. It has two bathrooms, which is very useful. It also has two mini split AC units, which work really well at cooling the house. The location is within walking distance to four different beaches. Unfortunately since last year, the septic has been updated. So now the back yard is a big mound. I think this is probably a newer zoning regulation for the Cape, since I noticed a lot more of those this year. My guess is that if the septic has to be updated, it has to be done this way. It's unavoidable, but it does take away from the yard. Also since last year, there is an oversized house being built directly across from this cottage. Based on the size of the rest of the houses in the neighborhood, it seems totally unsightly and out of place. Luckily, there wasn't much construction noise. But because the dirt road is so narrow already, the trucks made it tricky to come and go during the day. Again, the house itself is a nice little cottage, and the neighborhood is very quiet. As always, Martha Murray Real Estate was fantastic to deal with. They make everything so easy. So even if I don't rent this particular house again, I'll still be renting with them.

Another lovely stay at 21 Bayberry

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second year in a row staying at 21 Bayberry Ln. Such a great rental house. The location is the perfect blend of quiet and convenience. Little to no traffic goes by the house. There are four small beaches within walking distance, which saves you a ton of money from parking at the beach. And since the house isn't too far from Rte. 28, it's still easy to get to other parts of the Cape. Some of the furniture could probably use an upgrade, but nothing is uncomfortable. The second bathroom is such a nice bonus. You rarely get that in a Cape rental this size. The small porch is a nice place to relax or read, after breakfast or dinner. Definitely recommended.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I choose this rental property for the walking distance to beach and that you could kayak from the property. Although you could walk to the beach,It would be difficult to manage with family and beach essentials, also no assess the swan river from where we were staying.

Quiet Cottage in Hidden Neighborhood

Great little house

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a fantastic, little house. First, it's on a quiet, dirt road. So there's not much traffic coming down the street. It's within walking distance to four small beaches. Having two bathrooms is nice, especially if you have kids. That being said the bedrooms are setup a little odd. The smaller bedroom has the full size bed, while the larger back bedroom has two twins, patio access, and the larger bathroom. Not a huge deal, but it seems like it would make more sense to have the larger bed (or even a queen) in the larger bedroom. Regardless, we definitely recommend this house. The front porch is small, but big enough for three people to sit comfortably. That was a nice bonus, as were the Mini Split AC units. They really kept the house cool, when it got hot. As always, Martha Murray real estate was so great to deal with.
