We loved the location and the peaceful surroundings! The outdoor deck and fire pit were great! The cabin is a bit more rustic than it appeared in the photos. While it is a woodsy setting, the inside could use a deep cleaning and a more thorough cleaning after previous guests. There were spills and crumbs on the counters and hairs in the bathroom sink and shower. If we were to stay again, I’d bring my own bath towels, cleaning supplies, a latching container for food, and drinking water.

Cabin is pictured as private. It's not. It's in a neighborhood and I heard cars on the road during the night and in the morning. Pictures show a lake, that's not even within walking distance. Host didn't respond to call or emails. Water in unpalatable. Stairs to loft are 15in tall with no railing a few grab bars. Memory foam advertised not present. Downstairs queen bed is old sagging sleeper sofa with 4in standard foam. Terrible experience.

We stayed here last year, enjoyed it, and came back this year. It’s a perfect place for a quick weekend getaway. There’s a nice state park, that is very close by, and if you are looking for shopping or dining options, Bloomington is only about 20-25 minutes away.

This little cabin is so darned cute! And full of everything you could ever need or want. The host is very attentive and helpful. The temps were about 110 with the heat index while we were there, so we didn’t enjoy the outdoor space as much as we wished we could have, but the air conditioners kept everything cool and comfortable. We had a great visit and can’t wait to return to enjoy the beautiful setting in the autumn!!!! Thank you Abby!!!!

This cozy little cabin worked great for a secluded spot to take my virtually proctored board exam. It's quiet and the internet connection was strong. The host communicated well.

Clean glamping experience

Lots of nice amenities: AC, fridge, grill, firepit, porch and porch chairs, shower. Located next to the state park where the stars are visible and the lake has nice docks and trails to explore. I do recommend taking the suggestion to bring water as the tap is metallic in taste. pull out sofa bed was a little uncomfortable, but the lofted bed was very nice. still beats sleeping on the ground camping! would recommend. Host was very friendly and answered any questions. She also offered to mail back a soap we forgot to pack and allowed us to stay a few hours after check out time since the next guests were not arriving till the following day.

Unfortunately it rained for the duration of our stay so we were unable to take advantage of the lake, decks, fire pit etc.

Happy Anniversary to Us!

A last minute getaway exceeded our expectations! We wanted an affordable getaway with peace and quiet as well as the opportunity for daytime hiking and coffee on the patio. This property delivers!Everything was exactly as we needed. We brought a lot of our own food and drink and had plenty of storage and options for cooking/heating things up. It was also so convenient to be able to go to nearby LeRoy to get some items we forgot. If you are not used to well water be sure to bring your own water. Thank you, Abbey, for a perfect stay!

Moraine View State Park & Dawson lake provide many things to do in the summer and winter. My favorite things about this area is hiking with my dog year round through the trails to the Lake for a swim, all the wildlife, kayaking on the lake, and cycling on through the park and surrounding areas.

Moraine View State Park is very relaxed and not busy, even at the beach in the summer.

Vacation year round! Campfires, grilling out, and even just hanging out with the nature that surrounds you is a relaxing getaway for everyone to enjoy.
