Casita Seco: Casita Nära staden Taos & Taos Ski Area

Casita Seco ligger på ett tunnland betesmark och inom en kort promenad till den pittoreska staden Arroyo Seco. Denna studio nummer har utsikt över bergen från alla fönster omgiven av betesmark och en ekologisk gård. Casita Seco är ett kort avstånd till Taos Ski Valley i ena änden och staden Taos å andra sidan. Minst fyra restauranger finns inom gångavstånd tillsammans med gallerier och butiker.

Casita Seco är ett Adobe studio med sydvästra charm. Saltillo klinkergolv hålla denna studio svalt på sommaren, i golvvärme håller det mysigt på vintern. Köket är fullt utrustat.

Roliga aktiviteter för alla åldrar i Taos området är: skidåkning, snowboard, berg och öken vandring till floder och vattenfall, bergsklättring (vi kan hjälpa till med reservationer), forsränning och kajakpaddling, luftballongturer, golf, tennis och mountainbike . Världsklass restauranger, butiker, en biograf, inklusive en vecka konstfilm serien, museer, konstgallerier, klasser och workshops. Något för alla.

Taos Ski Valley har många roliga evenemang under hela vintern; Taos Film Festival äger rum i mars; Världspoesi Bout i juni; Solar Music Festival i juli; hösten Arts Festival i september; Mountain Film Festival och Balloon Festival i oktober. Besök Taos Pueblo de äldsta kontinuerligt ockuperade struktur i Nordamerika med turer och flera festivaler är öppna för allmänheten.

Perfect for a week ski trip to Taos!

My husband and I loved our stay at Donna's place. It was perfect for us and our dog while we were in town for the weekend. Had everything we needed and was close to the little town of Arroyo Seco, which was lovely!

Spotless, cozy casita; easy short walk to Arroyo Seco.

We loved our short stay here. The kitchen is cute, but tiny. Several great restaurants a short walk away. Dog friendly with open spaces surrounding the casita. We would absolutely stay here again.

Wonderful cozy place

Donna’s place is a wonderful little farm stay. Great for if you are in town for Taos Ski Valley just 15 to 20 minutes to ski area!It’s within walking distance to a small community center with shops and restaurants. Do note that everything in the community closes by around 3 PM or so, But Donna‘s place has a small kitchen so you can use it to whip up some quick light dinner or lunch.

Refreshing

Great place to stay in a Taos region where other properties seem to try to take advantage (via excessive prices and even higher fees) of out of town visitors. Very quaint (and clean) accommodations that provided everything we needed for our short stay. Excellent location. We will definitely seek out this place again should we be back to the Taos area.

A bit hard to find, yet roomy and private

Very quiet and serene. Enjoyed walking to the center of town and surrounding lanes. Would stay again, so long as the host won’t mind us using the main parking area. The alternative, next to the guest entrance was difficult to get in & out of.

Beautiful place

Overall my stay was great. The casita is located in the cute little town of arroyo seco and such a great location for skiing at Taos. There was some recycles, dirty towels, and empty tissues left out as if forgotten while cleaning , though. Aside from that I truly enjoyed my stay!

Wonderful Casita

This is a great place for one or two people. It’s on the edge of town but close enough to walk to awesome dining. It’s close to skiing and close to Taos. The host was magnificent. I lost my truck key while skiing and she really went out of her way to help me. Highly recommended and I will definitely book again whenever I can.

Great getaway

We’ve been to Taos several times, and this place takes the cake. It’s perfectly situated between town and the mountain (great for ski season), and is almost unbelievably quiet. We brought our dogs along and they had plenty of room inside and outside. Our puppy especially was enamored of the farm animals nearby! It’s a bit tricky to find the first time, but just follow Donna’s directions and you’ll be good to go.

Cute room near town

Perfect spot for the weekend

Perfect spot to get to Taos and surrounds for a weekend with family friends! Convenient enough but off the beaten path. Perfect size for me, solo traveler but would probably be good for a couple too. It's small but was perfect for my needs as a home base. I didn't cook in there but you could! Would try to stay there again if I was in the area!

Cozy cute house

We loved it but a bit too small for a family. Owner warned us :) and no tv, just a DVD player. The only really small part for us was the kitchen. No oven, fridge too small. Our daughter missed her cartoon shows on tv so lots of complaints daily... Great for a couple though. Very close to taos for museums and ski valley. And it was hot inside!! No need for extra heater! It was fun..

Beautiful Mountain Scenery and a Responsive and Thoughtful Manager

Lovely bucolic retreat with gorgeous mountains and fresh air. Donna maintains the property beautifully and is very responsive and communicative to ensure a pleasant stay. The casita is small but the use of space is clever, efficient and appealing. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend Casita Seco highly.

Window Mountain Views

The surrounding landscape is beautiful. Easy walks to the town, a great small grocery store(no alcohol) of Arroyo Seco and close drive to Taos and other fun things to explore. Lots of friendly dogs roaming around loose and contained farm animals next door(we felt right at home). Host is on same property if anything is needed. We, and Mac(4 legged child) had a fantastic time.

A relaxing vacation

We were very happy to have found this casita in the charming little one block town of Arroyo Seco. Everything was neat and clean, and we enjoyed waking to the sounds of the rooster and chickens on the neighboring farm. Star gazing at night was another highlight. Truly a relaxing vacay. Thank you!
