We stayed in Sainte-Marie-de-RĂ© as a family of five (16 years and up) and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The photos are not up to date, but they capture house, garden, and pool very well. Carine welcomed us in a friendly and uncomplicated manner. The house was clean and tidy, although there was a lot of junk in most of the drawers. We brought our own bed linens, towels, etc. (but you can also rent them on-site). Apparently, a previous tenant had damaged the pool's filtration system, so Carine and Francois were often on site to repair and maintain it. This bothered us a bit. However, the pool was very well-maintained and our absolute highlight of the house. The kitchen is even too well-equipped for my taste: e.g. I would have preferred fewer knives, but sharp instead, and more space for personal stuff. The master bedrooms have large wardrobes, filled with some extra duvets and stuff, but still offer plenty of storage space. The fourth (smallest) bedroom is only accessible via another bedroom or the terrace. The location is quiet, close to the village center and close to the beach (about a 5-minute walk). The beach is beautiful, uncrowded, and unguarded. At high tide, the water's edge is a wide strip of pebbles, so beach shoes would have made swimming more relaxing. Above this strip of pebbles is fine sand. At low tide, you walk over a continuous layer of stones with sharp edges, but the view towards the coast is marvelous then.We would definitely book the house again.
