Amanda was a most excellent host. She even provided a fan ! The surroundings are what I imagine heaven to resemble and the proximity to Mount Rushmore was perfect within a half an hour drive.

Great stay

Was a cute property and had everything we needed for our stay. Was close to Custer park and nice to be able to go back mid day between activities. Quiet area so that was nice!

Perfect little place

This is a beautiful place to stay with great accomodations. It's a bit out of the way but that adds to the charm. Thanks for the hospitality, would stay here again.

The cabin was very clean and quiet. There was plenty of seating inside and outside. There was just enough activity of people to not feel isolated, but still quiet enough to relax and enjoy nature.

South Dakota Getaway!

Beautiful down home feel to this property. The cabin was huge and fully furnished. Great place for a family getaway. We hiked several trails nearby and the owner was very helpful with all kinds of information that made our stay top notch. We would love to return with the rest of our family.

Reminded me of my cabin growing up

This was a great place. It was very clean, temperature was great, and it was close to Mt Rushmore and other national parks. We used both the queen bed and sofa bed. It was safe and secure and I would definitely stay there again!

Breathtaking

Ghost Canyon Getaway is a wonderful place to stay. Everything was readily available for cooking on the black stone griddle or the grill. The property is beautiful and everyone is very friendly. I would highly recommend staying there! If I could give it more stars, I would.

Very peaceful and beautiful!

Enjoyed our stay--very comfortable room and beautiful property, and very quiet environment. We were there by ourselves most of the week but when we had neighbors, the walls are pretty thin so that's my only negative. It's a bit of a drive to get down the dirt road but so nice when you get there.

Ghost Canyon Getaway

Our stay was very nice, Matt was a great host and while we didn’t need much from him, it always felt like he was just a message away if we did. I loved the location, as it was away from everything else so the perfect place to relax after the days activities. The views were gorgeous, and overall just felt so peaceful. The room was very nice and tidy when we arrived, and well taken care of. Matt supplied many items we may need during the stay, which was very much appreciated. We loved our stay very much, and would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful!

Our family really enjoyed our stay at Ghost Canyon. The room was very clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The hosts were extremely attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the views outside on the patio, using the fire pit, grill and Blackstone griddle, and our kids loved the animals and the yard games. We spent most of our daytimes exploring the Black Hills area, so coming back after a long day to cook our own meals and relax by the fire was perfect! We definitely want to plan another trip!

The horseback riding next door was cool. The owners were really great. The place was clean and absolutely beautiful. The bed was very comfortable and worked out great. All of it was great. A stove would have been nice. The place was a little bit smallish. Over all really nice!!

Overall great experience!

Had a great, comfortable stay. My husband developed allergies, so we aren't sure if there was maybe animal dander in the room or simply unexpected seasonal allergies. The room was stocked with more kitchenwares, including a toaster, than listed in the description, so that was a pleasant surprise!

Gorgeous!

The scenery and location were fabulous! We enjoyed the landscape of the neighborhood and the views in behind our room where we sat in the morning with our coffee and in the evening with our wine. The room itself was decorated very nicely in a horse theme, and it was supplied with everything we needed. It was within driving distance of all the places we wanted to see: Mr. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and Custer State Park. I would definitely return!

Peaceful and Awesome

We stayed at Ghost Canyon and had a blast! It was our second anniversary trip and we took our four month old little girl with! The place is beautiful and very peaceful! They have cows and horses that you can pet , and you see deer every day! We also got to use a black stone griddle to cook breakfast every morning! If you are looking for a place with great hosts and family friendly this is the place! Definitely recommend! They also have a basketball hoop there as well!
