Hi Courtney - We are so happy that your stay was great and thank you for the 5-star review! We want every guest to feel they received a 5-star experience at Mountaintop Escape. That is in our DNA and has not changed one bit as we approach our 14th year!! The road to the top is a beautiful mountain road - 2/3 paved and the rest solid gravel. Wide enough for two cars to pass and everyone is mindful of each other. The azaleas line the entire road and are magnificent when in bloom. Often you will encounter turkeys, deer, fox and, yes, even a bear who will wave and scamper into the bush. At night the stars are so bright! No lights to diminish the views and, oh my, when the moon is out it will mesmerize you shimmering against the night sky. And hardly another car is stirring. Put your high beams on and you'll be on top before you know it enjoying a nightcap at our fire-pit, by the hot tub or all cozy in front of the fireplace. We hope you will re-book soon!
