Gillade: Renlighet, bekvämligheter, boendets skick och faciliteter och kommunikation

One of the best experiences we have had in a privately rented out house. The owner was extremely friendly and treated us Ike family. The house is walking distance to the center of Strobrec, a suburb of Split with its marina and restaurants. There are also beaches just 3 minutes away which we enjoyed. We just stayed for one night but will definitely try to come back.

Great place

Very comfortable. Had everything we needed for a two week stay. Plenty of parking and several excellent restaurants about a kilometer away. Highly recommended.

Stobrec

The host Marica was gracious and helpful. We really enjoyed visiting over Croatian coffee each morning. The location is wonderful and as described. We enjoyed the beach only a few minutes away. We ate at several restaurants with a spectacular view in the center of Stobrec. We even took the city bus back into Split and the mall.

Sind nur eine Nacht geblieben, kein deutsches Fernsehen.Absolut abgerockt die Hütte. Alles kaputt , man soll 14 Tage auf Möbeln sitzen die man bei uns in Deutschland auf dem Balkon zu stehen hat. Terrasse direkt an der Hauptstraße. Nie wieder, bei der Frage warum man kein deutsches Fernsehen gucken könnte , sagte man uns zu teuer, ich hätte es doch bezahlt, völliges Unverständnis.

Gemütlich und familiär

Unser Aufenthalt in diesem ruhig gelegenen und gemütlichen Objekt war sehr angenehm. Die Gastgeberin war sehr herzlich und aufmerksam. Hier kann man die Seele einfach baumeln lassen und den Alltag vergessen. Alles in allem ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen.

Home from home - fabulous!

This was our first visit to Croatia and this property was the icing on the cake of a fantastic holiday. It is picture perfect. An adorable Mediterranean house that is in a fabulous location. We were in walking distance of everything, from two beaches and a park to Stobrec town centre and some lovely restaurants and shops. Make sure you try some of the delicious local pastries: they are the perfect start to the day! Outside, the property has the most adorable garden area, with comfortable furniture and a BBQ. Our toddler was delighted by the swing and children’s pool and we spent a lot of time playing and soaking up the sun in this little oasis. Indoors, the property Is just as charming. It was clean and comfortable and extremely well equipped. All towels and linens are provided and the kitchen is stocked with everything you can imagine. It really felt like a home from home and we will definitely return to this wonderful property next time we visit Dalmatia.

Bel apartement mais chien bruyant.

Nous avons beaucoup aimé la situation, la maison et le jardin. Dommage que le chien de la propriétaire dorme au pied des fenêtres et aboie la nuit et au petit matin.

Superb Hostess

We enjoyed our stay in Croatia and found the apartment to be very comfortable with all you need. Marica the owner was a great character bringing us coffee every morning and we had some interesting conversations about Europe and the state of the world generally. "Coffee time" is still missed now we are back in the grey UK! We found the road outside to be rather intrusive but that is probably because we live in a small quiet village in the countryside!

Beautiful place, Marica even more beautiful. I want to come back already!❤❤❤

The apartment is lovely and contains everything you could need. Host Marica is what makes this place special. She is one of the warmest and huge hearted people I've ever met. It was like staying with your favourite aunt. We were greeted on arrival with cookies and homemade cherry brandy. We were then led to the beach, and she chatted the whole way as if we'd known her for years. She had a ton of tourist informaion and maps in the flat, and gave us all the useful tips we could hope for. Her dogs and Mimi the cat kept our teenagers entertained. The second night we invited her up for a meal with us and had a marvellous time. She is a force of nature and impossible not to love! What a great two days, this will be hard to top on the rest of our holiday. Split (and area) is a must see... if you go, stay with this incredible lady.

Perfect house in a beautiful place

I stayed in for 7 days with my 3 girlfriends. The arranged ride from the airport by our hostess was lifesaving. (take it!) House was spotless and omg so bright and relaxing.Comfy beds and lots of closet space. You can do your grocery shopping near, and hostess lent us her bike when we needed. We mostly spent time and ate on the terrace, and since there's wifi, we didn't even turn the tv on. The closest beach is rocky, but the sandy one is close to. Stobrec is small but has this „town by the sea" charm. Split is 10 min ride, we went once. This house is great if you want relaxing holiday. I think families with kids really enjoy it here.

Great location with fantastic scenery

The villa is so beautiful and the setting is beautiful. We liked the little courtyard where you can sit and relax while taking in the views. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby to buy food and supplies from. The villa was clean with fresh bedding and towels provided. We had a party of four, and there was plenty of room for us all. The 2 beaches are close to this villa as is all the amenities giving you everything you could want in a holiday.

Wonderful house for a family holiday.

Family of 4 traveling with 12 year old twins. House was as exactly as described: everything felt new, very clean, comfortable - exactly as described in the listing. Owner Marica went above and beyond expectations, arranging lifts, sorting out ferry tickets for us, and sending husband to the fish-market to get the freshest, best fish for us! The home-cooked Croatian meal she prepared for us was a delight, and the home-pressed olive-oil like nothing I've had before - wonderful. Good time sitting up on the terrace, drinking wine, and discussing politics, the EU, Yugoslav war with us. The pet cat Mimi and her 3 kittens were a delight for everyone - we have cats too. (Note to non-cat people: they don't get indoors, and only approach the terrace if you're friendly to them!) Beach was close enough - 5 minutes - and very clean, and pretty quiet. Rocky coastline might not suit those looking for miles of golden sand, but provides much more interest for snorkelling and diving - water clarity amazing, and lots of fish, urchins, anemones etc. We didn't venture to the sandy beach in the village - was a bit busy for us. Stobrec itself had everything you'd need. Supermarkets fine, pharmacy, souvenirs - all good. We ate out a couple of times, and meals out were excellent, and very reasonably priced. We found that to be the case throughout Croatia. Bus into Split was fine, and worth a visit. Fast ferry to Dubrovnik, an overnight there was a great trip too. Trogir also worth a visit, but the No. 37 bus from Split was torture in 35 degC heat, and no air-con (or suspension, apparently!!!) In summary, we had a wonderful stay, and would definitely go back in the future. Really, in this day and age where there are so many places to see and visit, there can be no higher recommendation than that. :-)

Fully equipped and ideally located

We were greeted by our lovely host Marica, who could not have been more welcoming. The house had everything we could have wanted and was equipped with every kitchen utensil you could wish for! We enjoyed breakfast and many a glass of wine on the quaint terrace. Marica showed us quiet beaches were we were able to sunbathe and swim in almost complete privacy. The sea is amazing but don't forget your beach shoes as the beaches are pebbly. Located within walking distance of supermarkets, bakery, restaurants, cafes, bars and beaches, the house is a great base for all needs. Split is approximately 10 minutes drive from Stobrec, head for the harbour and old town - beautiful! The day we needed to be there very early for a boat trip, Marica kindly drove us there herself. That was after bringing morning coffee to share! Marica wasn't intrusive but was always available if we needed help, advice or coffee! Thanks Marica for everything! Ian & Jackie xx

Perfect first experience of Croatia

This house and it's wonderfully welcoming, thorough, charming and thoughtful owner made for a wonderful week's holiday for my partner, lively four year old and I. The house and garden are just as lovely and well-equipped and well-situated as described. Marika has thought of everything in kitting out the house and on top of that rapidly rustled up all manner of toys for our son. We felt like locals as we enjoyed the beaches, shops, restaurants and atmosphere of charming Stobrec. And enjoyed easy day trips to Split and one of the islands. Our only regret was that we had not booked two weeks.

A Very Special Place

The offer to be collected from the airport by Marica was gratefully received. Welcome to Croatia, a great host and a lovely location. This “Chic House by the Sea” really is great. It’s not huge in size but it’s big in charm. Everything is here, the memory foam beds, dishwasher, washing machine, everything you could want in the kitchen that encourages you to say yes- I could do some serious cooking with local ingredients here. Think of an apartment, but with a small garden to enjoy breakfast in, the barbecue for the evenings and then the roof terrace with sun loungers ! But what really adds the sparkle to the place is your host Marica (and MiMi – a beautiful white cat who adopts you for the time you’re there) Fond memories of coffee with them in the morning, loads of advice and a great laugh. The beach is just a few minutes away. It’s small, stony, some stone steps, but when you get there you have a small deserted beach with perfectly clear Adriatic sea lapping near your feet, a lovely view of the islands and the houses down towards the village. Its backed by fir trees that give you the chance to choose sun or shade. Stobrec is a lovely village in a bay with a palm tree lined promenade. Several small supermarkets with great butchers and fresh produce, a few bar/restaurants which seemed to be well supported by the locals and only about 10 minutes to stroll down to. Split is only about 20 mins away on the bus 25 from Stobrec for 13kn. A great place to wander around with palm lined seafront gardens, al fresco bar/restaurants and if you wander into the Roman old town some lovely history and great quality places to eat at reasonable prices. If you want to have a relaxed holiday in a lovely unspoiled village in a unique accommodation with a wonderful host, this is it. When Marica said goodbye to us at the airport it was like saying goodbye to a good friend !

Over the top!

Highlight: the place, the (almost) private beach, and specially the host are over the top!!! The house itself is just exactly what you see in photos. The terrace is perfect for morning breakfast with always a free coffee from Marica. The rooftop is perfect for chilling at night. Stobrec is a small but charming town. It is perfect for relaxing and escaping from the stresses of the city. The food are cheap but very good! The sun and weather is perfect for vacation! (at least from people who live in a cold country like me ). Plus the people there are very warm! Marica's place is close to the high street where the restaurant and sandy beach are. But more important than that, the house is very close to the rocky beach that will make you feel you have a private beach. The water is crystal clear! And the location is secluded, that you will really find it peace and relaxing! Lastly, the host, Marica, is not only a host but is like a Mum to us! She treated us like a family! She even give us beer and one time drove us to Split! All the host i met so far are ok or nice... but Marica, whom I call Mama Marica is exceptional! If you are having a second thought to come here... then don't think anymore... just book the place, come, and be surprised with the beauty of Stobrec and the warmness of the host! I am definitely going to go back soon with friends.

Excellent location, amazing beach & wonderful host

This is a beautiful house with great facilities. It was clean, exceptionally well appointed and very comfortable. Marica could not have been more helpful and was available for suggestions or advice throughout our stay should it have been required. We especially loved the dinner she prepared for us. The house is in a great area - lots on hand in terms of shops, bars and restaurants. The beach is just over the road with the crystal clear sea and beautiful sunset. We will definitely be back in the future. Thank you Marica!!!

Absolutely loved our stay at the "Chic House by the Sea". The house was very clean, well equipped and well situated. Split Old Town is around 10 minutes by car and an amazing beach is just across the house. There are plenty of bars, shops and restaurants within walking distant. I would highly recommend a nearby restaurant called "Konoba Nikola", especially if you are seafood fan. What we enjoyed the most was the view from the roof terrace on the Adriatic sea and nearby islands, simply breathtaking. Thank you Marica, we will come again!
