Peaceful country setting, deer & turkeys visited! Very clean and welcoming home. Kitchen was very well stocked, ice in the freezer (as well as cold mugs, just like A&W). Although we didn't use it, nice game room. Loved the front porch with plenty of seating, nice deck off the back as well. Comfy living room to watch an evening movie. Great place to enjoy a getaway without the noise & hustle of town!

A peaceful, quiet, country setting for a reunion of college roommates. We enjoyed Stillwater by day and eating home-cooked meals at night. The weather was perfect for enjoying the outdoor porches. We would easily come back again!

Check in was very easy (but all our GPS units had us go to the Farm across the road).Spent relaxing time on the front porch watching it rain. Easy access to Stillwater.Appreciated the place

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was very quiet and we saw deer, turkeys and birds every day in the front and back yard. If we are ever in the Stillwater area again we would definitely stay here again.

Secluded place but easy access to Twin Cities

Beautiful wooded lot. The home has vaulted ceilings, great decks in the front and back. It feels like your in a very secluded area. But so close to wonderful attractions. We went to the Mall of America, St. Paul Science Museum then back to the relaxing cabin. We spent an afternoon at the beach on Square Lake its crystal clear water and a large beach. I highly recommend this place for families.

Family get away

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was everything we hoped it would be. Quietly located in the woods and very nice. Enjoyed seeing the deer running through the yard. Would definitely stay again.

Great Cabin In the Woods!

This cozy cabin was just the perfect place to stay to get away from it all yet being close to all the areas we needed to get to. An added bonus was the woodland creatures we were able to view right in the backyard.

Peaceful Retrreat

My family & I enjoyed a wonderful week at the Cabin in the Woods. The location is far from any road noise but close enough to trails to enjoy a ride, run, or walk in the woods. During our stay we saw turkeys, deer, black squirrels, and even a pileated woodpecker in the yard. The rooms were comfortable. We senior citizens did not take advantage of the many amenities available for the younger crowd but can imagine that those age groups would approve. All in all it was a delightful & relaxing visit with family.

Cozy cottage with beautiful nature

It was cozy and had a variety of beautiful birds in the backyard ... even a family of turkeys! So fun. We had all of the cooking things we needed. The beds were so comfortable. Perfect for a five-person retreat. Close to Stillwater to take in the boutiques. Half hour from airport. Hosts were great. Perfect stay.

Beautiful Place

Amazing find. The property is family friendly, out in the woods, lots to do on property, knowledgeable about what to do in the area and very cleanly. Property owners are easy to talk to if you need anything. As a former resident of the city i was impressed.

Perfect cabin for a remote Thanksgiving celebration

We traveled from out of state to spend Thanksgiving with our son who is attending college near Minneapolis. The cabin was a perfect place for our family of four to celebrate together. Loved the private, wooded location and close proximity to Stillwater. And also watching the chickadees, nuthatches and woodpeckers on the backyard feeders!

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

Grant City is a small rural community just northwest of Stillwater about 8 miles. It has one of the largest horse populations per capita in the U.S. If you like to bike, hike, or horse back ride. The Gateway Trail has a paved and gravel trail that is less than a mile from the property, it goes from Stillwater to St Paul.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

When cutting grass or doing maintenance on the cabin when there are no guest, I will always take a break on the front porch and watch the birds, turkeys, deer, and of course the squirrels. In the winter it is like a wonderland after a snow fall. All the trees are covered with snow and there is just a silence in the air.
