Denna renoverade och ljusa lägenhet ligger några steg från den vackra katedralen i San Martino och strax bakom hörnet från Guinigi-tornet. Nyligen renoverade detta är en mycket bekväm bas för att upptäcka Lucca och dess skönhet och omgivningen.

Lägenheten ligger på andra våningen och har också ELEVATOR. Detta är ett antikt palats inuti väggarna i Lucca en gång bosatt för en av de viktigaste familjerna för silkeshandeln i Europa på 1400-talet. Platsen är utmärkt, mycket centralt men i ett mycket lugnt kvarter. Området är mycket vackert eftersom det är fotgängareområdet. Här finns ett par mycket bra pizzerior, livsmedelsbutiker, bageri, konditori och kafé till frukost på morgonen .. allt är några steg bort samt den veckovisa marknaden och tillgången till strandpromenaden på toppen av stadens väggar.
Elegant, Modern & Mycket Ljus, CASA DANIELA erbjuder en mycket bekväm vistelse, med alla moderna bekvämligheter du behöver och nya, oklanderliga, vackra möbler. Alla detaljer har varit extremt omhändertagna.

Vardagslocket har fortfarande den ursprungliga målade dekorationen från 1700-talet.

Lägenheten är mycket rymlig och mäter 100 kvm. Det har ett sovrum med dubbelsäng, ett enkelrum, ett fullt utrustat kök (diskmaskin, ugn, 5 kokplattor, frys, kylskåp, italienska och amerikanska kaffebryggare, brödrost, vattenkokare, en komplett uppsättning köksredskap som hemma, vinglas etc ..), ett rymligt vardagsrum med TV, ett badrum med en stor inbyggd dusch.

Lägenheten är också utrustad med tvättmaskin och torktumlare, en mycket tillförlitlig wi-fi-anslutning i hela lägenheten.

Lägenheten är utrustad med en bärbar luftkonditionering som kan flyttas från vardagsrum till kök till ett av sovrummen.

Charming Tuscan Apartment in Beautiful Lucca!

We loved this historic apartment. The location is perfect. It is within walking distance to everything in this beautiful medieval Italian city... great restaurants, concerts, shopping at the fabulous Antique Market and of course, daily walks and bike rides on "the Wall". The spacious apartment is exactly as portrayed...wood beams, impressive ceiling detail and beautifully decorated with all the charm of Tuscany. Bedding was comfortable and the kitchen well equipped for both meals and an amazing private cooking class with Nadia! Sonia was very friendly and welcoming. She explained the apartment's amenities and offered suggestions for restaurants and activities in & around Lucca. We highly recommend this apartment to anyone seeking a perfect Tuscan getaway!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sonia’s apartment. It was big and very well laid out and you can't beat the interiors! There is also a wonderful kitchen where we enjoyed dinner in the evenings. It faces onto the promenade where you can observe the daily activity. The location is perfect and right in the middle of everything. Sonia was extremely responsive and helpful with all questions we asked. She was even nice enough to provide an helpful housebook she wrote with great suggestions. If and when we return to Lucca, we will most certainly come back to this apartment!

Fantastic location

Great service and stellar location close to all sights and nice restaurants. Very spacious and charming apartment with beautiful ceiling paintings. Nice with dishwasher and washing machine. Helpful guide book with practical information and tips to the city (and day trips) was really appreciated. Had a wonderful week there. Kitchen not very well equipped (lacking proper cookware and basic stuff like a bread knife, which we bought). Further, the mattress, pillows and linen were not very comfortable. Would also be handy with two keys.

We looked forward to our stay with high expectations and, even so, they were all exceeded. The building is brilliantly located and has a real period atmosphere while the apartment itself has everything you might need. We have stayed in many airbnb apartments and this is definitely one we would return to.

Great location!

The location of this apartment is perfect. It is well appointed with amazing high ceilings that are beautifully painted. For the directionally challenged, it is beside the medieval tower with the trees on top which was very helpful. There is a great view of the tower from the bedroom window. There is a cafe/restaurant in the same building just around the corner that is excellent. Lucca is such a lovely place and the apartment is a quick walk to the train station for day trips to Pisa, Viaggio (beach) Cinque Terre and more. There was a very detailed binder with information on everything you could think of in it. We were met promptly at the apartment door upon arrival. We had a great stay in Lucca with our 14 year old daughter. It was great.

Una casa così in centro a Lucca…. FANTASTICA, tutto perfetto, dal check-in con Sonia super puntuale che ci ha illustrato cosa potevamo fare durante il nostro soggiorno, alla signora Barbara, resasi disponibile per qualsiasi cosa potesse servirci. L’appartamento TOP, non mancava nulla, l’atmosfera super senza parlare dell’ ubicazione, pieno centro, sotto torre Guinigi, abbiamo trascorso una settimana fantastica….peccato sia terminata!!!

Almost Perfect

This apartment is a two-bedroom unit in an old palazzo (palace). Upon entry to the building, you are met with beautiful frescos and mosaics. When you enter the apartment itself, you are met with a beautiful fresco on the ceiling and corresponsing plaster mouldings and decorations. I would describe the livingroom and kitchen as being almost "palatial" in their decor and appearance. The bedrooms and bathroom are "nice", but do not possess the same qualities of the kitchen/living room. Our bed was a disaster and rock hard, to the point of feeling it in our backs and hips after we left. On point, we are fit and walked 15k a day. We read a previous review and another person had complained about the mattress. One of the reasons we booked here was the owner's response "Receiving a complaint from you during the stay rather than now that you have returned home would have allowed me to do all the best to provide you an excellent experience. Not only I could have bought a new mattress for you (despite I have never received a complaint about the mattresses that are nearly 2 year old) but I could also have provided the possibility to move you into another of my apartments to make you happy. My guests' satisfaction is my main concern so there is no problem for me to move guests and possibly provide an upgrade for free." I contacted Ms Sonia right away to ask if she had another mattress or foam pad. The answer was no and none of the actions mentioned above even spoken of. I feel that her response to the review was most disingenuous. It would not take much to make this property top notch. I would have a memory foam mattress pad available if guests request it. I would put new towels in the bathroom. They were clean and white, but showing their age and paper-thin. I would put some fancier pillows/coverings on the beds. There was nothing wrong with them, but the front end is so beautiful that the back should ideally match it. Neither of these would be cost-prohibitive. This is a great property in a great location. I would stay here in a heartbeat if the bed was comfortable.

Beautiful apartment. Enough room for two and great location to everything

The apartment had all necessary conveniences: dishwasher, hair dryer, cooking needs and a big shower. very clean on our arrival. We were able to get on the train without walking a long distance and very close to all sides of the Lucca wall. Close to grocery store, forno and water fountains. The only difficulty we had was understanding the recycling for trash but didn’t let it ruin our time there.

Some good, some bad, overall disappointing

The apartment has some nice features like a beautiful sitting room, well-appointed kitchen, and washing machine. The location is okay, in a quiet area of Lucca. Parking and transporting luggage was a challenge as the apartment in well within the ZTL. Unfortunately, the many negatives offset the positives and made the stay overall below what we had hoped for. The beds were the most uncomfortable (rock hard) we experienced in a month of stays in Italy. Just unbearable. We also had issues with the very noisy portable AC unit. Finally, since the hot weather required leaving windows open in the other parts of the home, we experienced little biting bugs that nibbled on us as we slept. Uncomfortable. In total, we were very disappointed and glad to move to our next location.

Nicely decorated, well-located apartment

Mrs. Sonia could not have been more helpful. The apartment is beautifully furnished and equipped, and the building has an elevator which is unusual in Lucca, and very much appreciated. The second bedroom is small, as the photos show. All in all, a wonderful living environment, and one to which we would happily return.

I would rent this apartment again

We came to Lucca to visit our son who is studying in the IMT campus for this semester. We wanted a place to call home for our week stay and this flat met all and even more of our needs. Mrs Sonia was so helpful through e-mail and phone calls to make sure everything was in place. When we arrived in Lucca, Alice helped us find our way to the flat and got us settled in, thanks so much. It was very convenient that we were so close to the train and bus station we used this to connect to everywhere each day to go sightseeing and also to see some shows while we were in town. We really appreciated having the kitchen and living room - we spent a lot of time just catching up in the evenings. We even made a home cooked meal for our son on Sunday night so the kitchen was extremely helpful. After staying for week we know without a doubt this flat was the best choice for us. We were 2 adults and our son came and stayed a few nights so the extra bedroom was wonderful for us. We also found it very economical compared to hotels and so much more comfortable with the extra living space and many amenities like the washer and clothes dryer, the wi-fi, and the heating which worked perfectly. Thanks and we will look you up if we are in Lucca again.

Lovely apartment but very disappointing and unprofessional customer service

The apartment itself couldn't be faulted for its facilities, comfort and position but I have to say that the customer service was woeful and left us considerably out of pocket. We had provided Sonia with flight details, time of arrival (18.00) and mobile number. I said I would phone her from the taxi to confirm all was going to plan and that's where the problems started. Both of Sonia's mobiles were switched off and despite trying to contact her throughout the journey by phone, text and email we had no luck. We arrived at the apartment and the taxi driver joined in the fruitless attempts to but to no avail. We stood, complete with luggage, outside the apartment until after 19.00, presuming that the penny would drop and she would contact us or turn up to let us in. Sadly she didn't and we started thinking that we had been scammed. We decided reluctantly to book into a hotel for our four nights and texted Sonia to say we had done so. At 19.30 she texted to say she would arrive in 30 mins - no apology or explanation! I responded by saying we were at the hotel. We then went out for dinner and continued to receive some rather brusque texts saying that Sonia was at the apartment and that we had to phone her. She seemed to think we should leave the restaurant simply because she had managed to turn up at the apartment over two hours late, her excuse being that her phone wasn't working (not sure what had happened to the other number she had given us). It was eventually agreed that we would meet the next day. The apartment was superior to the hotel that we'd managed to book so we checked out and moved in to the apartment. Sadly we got no refund from the hotel for the unused nights - fair enough - Sonia's ineptitude was hardly their fault. There was no offer of a refund from Sonia, not even a bottle of wine to make up for the debacle and we were in no mood to spoil the holiday further by debate. On our return home we requested one night's refund and after some rather ill tempered responses this was eventually done. All in all it was a salutary lesson in what can go wrong with this sort of set-up. Did we enjoy the holiday - yes. But would we recommend the property or any of the others managed by Sonia - no!

luxury and comfort in central Lucca

We have stayed in many beautiful apartments in Lucca, but this was by far the grandest palazzo! It is vast. Residents could take their daily exercise just walking from the back bedroom to the laundry. This apartment is incredible. It is in a great location, on Via Guinigi, just between the charming Guinigi Tower and the main shopping street VIA FILLUNGO. It's away from the bustling center of town, but close enough to get anywhere in a matter of minutes. I fell in love with Sonia, the caretaker of the building (there are more apartments rented and advertised on this website) which is an absolute paradise. Although we didn't use it, we toured the other apartments, which are very charming and quite modern. Although there were only 4 of us and we rented 2 apartments this property is ideal for larger groups. There's plenty of space for everyone--guests won't get in one another's way. We were delighted to be able to stay in such a lovely place. Thanks to Mrs Sonia who always does a great job! It was our second time into one of her apartments.

Perfect Place

The pictures are exactly what you get. The location is absolutely perfect, the bed is really comfortable after a busy day of touring, and Sonia is friendly and helpful. Second time renting from Sonia

We just returned from a two-week stay at Daniela Apartment; it was everything we hoped it would be. But the location--10 minute walk to the train station and to bus terminal--was quite incredible! I think we walked to almost every site in town in less than 10 minutes. We typically walked back to the apartment for lunch and downtime before heading out for the afternoon adventure; it's so close to everything that was no problem at all. The apartment itself is very cozy and comfortable. The separate living room and the night area with the separate bedroom and bath are wonderful if someone wants to retire sooner than the other. The apartment was very spacious and that’s what we really needed. Sonia has a great English library of art and history books that provide hours of entertainment and fill in holes in your knowledge of Tuscan history. The apartment was clean and cool (it was quite hot this time of year in Lucca). Utilities were included, I was surprised! It has been better than I expected. The photos on the web site nicely captured the ambience of the space and appointments—but the apartment is definitely more luxurious, very clean and comfortable as well as being very quiet--no traffic sound at all. We cooked the majority of our meals in the apartment. It was easy and convenient and saved a great deal of expense. All the necessary equipment was there; we just went to local grocery stores every day to buy our food. There's a wonderful Trattoria called Cuore just around the corner from the apartment. We had three meals there that were wonderful and the staff was great fun. Not many tourists, just locals. We were very happy at Daniela Apartment and quickly settled in. We would highly recommend it for a couple or a for a party of 3.

EXCEPTIONAL APARTMENT, BEYOND ANY EXPECTATIONS

My husband and I have just returned from our first visit to Lucca where we stayed for a week in the absolutely gorgeous Casa Daniela. The apartment is simply stunning, elegant and homely, also spotlessly clean, it is very well equipped and the air conditioning is a real bonus. Also, the shower is a delight compared to the normal shower situation one finds in Italy! The apartment has an outside door which locks and gives access to a grand pained hall and so you really do feel secure, also the music coming from the music school next door is an added pleasure. E mail and telephone contact with the owner was always easy and efficient. The location of the apartment is spot on, right in the centre and close to all the sights. Nothing is very far away in this small but perfectly formed city, I really cannot stress how beautiful Lucca is and it is joy to wander around the city or walk the walls. We also hired bikes for 3 euros an hour and cycled the walls which was good fun (I had not been on a bike for 30 years!) and Sonia provided our own room to safely store bikes inside the building. Another great bonus! I enjoyed going to buy breakfast every morning at the bakery and there is a very good wine shop situated close to the apartment, not to mention lots of lovely restaurants. I had always wanted to go to Lucca and I was certainly not disappointed and this was largely due to this fab apartment, we will be back! Janet
