Fabulous house with lots of space for the family. There are some areas that need updating or refreshing which if sorted would make it excellent. For example, showers that were hard to turn on, broken umbrellas around the pool, light fixtures not working.

Our stay at marianne's place was bliss. Not only was the property itself stunning with everything needed for a week away with friends, but as a host marriane was always on hand to answer any queries or provide restaurant recommendations. Honestly could not fault this stay! 10/10

Amazing Converted Barn in Vineyards

Had a great week staying in this house for. A 70th birthday family gathering (8 adults 8 children) and was really well setup - the location is incredible, mountains in the distance and vineyards all around. Marianne gave great recommendations for croissants and restaurants to accommodate a large group. Also the main Chateaux (and local wine) is literally 1min walk away so make sure you stock up! There were a couple of small issues which Marianne sorted out pretty much straight away - a couple of small minor things would be that there is general wear and tear in the property (i.e. kitchen cupboards, BBQ and table tennis table) but this does not detract from what is a beautiful property. The surrounding area is great as well with beaches, villages and cites all worth a visit. Had a great stay.

Family Holiday

We stayed at the property for a week and overall impressed with it all. The owner was welcoming and the house beautiful with all equipment needed and all bedrooms of equal standard. A few areas to help improve our stay would’ve been a book with local restaurants, shops, activities etc which would’ve been very helpful. The pool steps need to be fixed as some of the tiles are loose and the pool needs to be cleaned more regularly. Air conditioning downstairs would really improve the experience in such hot weather! But we would recommend this property and would stay again! Thank you.

This property was amazing. Five stars! The house itself was stunning. Each room was beautifully decorated and comfortable. All the rooms were spacious and clean. The kitchen was fully equipped and we were able to easily navigate things. The house had it all!! The property and the land around it was so idyllic. It’s such a magical place. Marianne’s dog, Otago was such a sweetheart. He hung out at the property and kept our group company. Our group of 16 had a wonderful time. We loved this place. I know all of us would definitely recommend to anyone we know to stay here.

Great house for large group

We stayed here last week with a group of 7 adults and 8 child aged from 4-14.. house is perfect for large groups. As 5 separate families who go away each year it is hard to find a house that doesn’t have atleast one poor room.. this house has 7 and all of the bedrooms are like hotel rooms with en suite. 2 Of the rooms have mezzanine floors which sleep 2 children also so no problem for small children who need to be in same room. Location is great 15 mins from beach and 10 Mins from supermarket. The only minor downside is the downstairs bedroom doesn’t have aircon but this wasn’t a real issue and wouldn’t put us off coming again.lovely house . We will be back 👍👍

30th birthday with friends

There were some small issues with drains/pipes and hot water but the hosts responded promptly and were kind and accommodating. Would most definitely come again! A lot of the restaurants etc in the area were closed for the winter break because i came in the off season but it was still quite lovely and the views were incredible.

Nous avons passĂ© un superbe sĂ©jour dans ce domaine rĂ©novĂ© avec goĂ»t et avec des matĂ©riaux brut de qualitĂ©. Les chambres spacieuses, Ă©quipĂ©es chacune d'un WC et d'une salle de bain privative, ont permis Ă  chaque hĂŽte d'ĂȘtre installĂ© confortablement et de garder son intimitĂ© malgrĂ© le nombre de personne que nous Ă©tions. Les enfants ont pu profiter de l'espace extĂ©rieur, des chevaux Ă  proximitĂ© et de la salle de jeux comprenant un baby-foot, une bibliothĂšque, un rĂ©troprojecteur... Wunderschönes Haus, sehr stilvoll, liebevoll eingerichtet

Alle Zimmer sind gleichermaßen schön, was man selten vorfindet. Sehr netter und unkomplizierter Kontakt. Was man wissen sollte: auf der Koppel nebenan stehen Pferde, das könnte fĂŒr Allergiker interessant sein. Stört aber sonst nicht im geringsten, sondern ist ganz schön.

Lots of problems (beaucoup de problĂšmes)

This property could be lovely, but unfortunately we had many problems during our stay which were not rectified after requests, communication with the owner was difficult so we had to just give up. The main problem was the smell of drains, this made the use of one bedroom impossible as it was so strong. So our kids had to camp out in the games room. Second problem is the aircon. While it is fine upstairs there is no aircon downstairs, which means it is extremely hot in summer - making a further bedroom unusable and cooking in the kitchen like a sauna. Other issues related to maintenance. Never stayed anywhere like this where the pool was not maintained once during a whole week. Could be so much better if properly managed. Cette propriĂ©tĂ© pourrait ĂȘtre charmante, mais malheureusement, nous avons eu de nombreux problĂšmes pendant notre sĂ©jour qui n'ont pas Ă©tĂ© rĂ©solus aprĂšs les demandes, la communication avec le propriĂ©taire Ă©tait difficile, nous avons donc dĂ» abandonner. Le principal problĂšme Ă©tait l'odeur des Ă©gouts, ce qui rendait l'utilisation d'une chambre impossible car elle Ă©tait si forte. Nos enfants ont donc dĂ» camper dans la salle de jeux. Le deuxiĂšme problĂšme est la climatisation. Bien qu'il fasse beau Ă  l'Ă©tage, il n'y a pas de climatisation en bas, ce qui signifie qu'il fait extrĂȘmement chaud en Ă©tĂ©, ce qui rend une autre chambre inutilisable et cuisine dans la cuisine comme un sauna. Autres problĂšmes liĂ©s Ă  la maintenance. Je n'ai jamais sĂ©journĂ© dans un endroit comme celui-ci oĂč la piscine n'a pas Ă©tĂ© entretenue une fois pendant toute une semaine. Pourrait ĂȘtre tellement mieux s'il est bien gĂ©rĂ©.
