This would easily have been a 5 star rating if it had been cleaned well and some maintenance issues taken care of. Everything else about this place was great!

Family gathering

While the home was sparsely equipped, it was right on the beach! Had a shared pool that was also right on the beach! The beach itself was beautiful! Shells everywhere and very clean. No jellyfish or seaweed like nearby beaches. It was nice and quiet. The perfect getaway!

Easy Beach Access

We loved how close we were to the beach and the pool! The pool offers an outdoor shower and restrooms. The mosquitos were kind of bad in the garage, but we will definitely be back!

Great location

We had a few bumps due to the home being closed for repairs for 30 days prior to our rental. The location is great and the overall Seagrass property is fantastic.

Crystal Beach 2025

The property is very nice but requires some much needed improvements in the kitchen. All of the utensils and pots and pans are wore out and should be replaced. The couch in the bedroom needs replaced, the entire body is broken. Two rooms were missing tv remotes and batteries were missing in others. The property manager brought remote replacements the next morning. Some bugs were found in the first level bedrooms and bathrooms but none were found on the upper level and kitchen. No furniture on the 1st level deck. The pool was nice but we had to call the service desk to get the gate code. Pool is not heated so we were only able to use it once due to the weather. One garage door did not work. Water pressure was extremely low in the kitchen sink.

Girl's Trip

We had an amazing time - we stayed in the same sub-division last summer at another house and we were a bit disappointed in a few things. The pool are was a mess! Trash cans overflowing, bathrooms just gross and stinky, the landscaping was not well keep at all. Grass clippings and dirt all over and a big ant problem. Fencing was have down, the gate to the beach ripped out. WHAT HAPPENDED!!!! The House could have been a bit cleaner, needs some new items for the kitchen, had some gross pans and pots and no Pot holders to get hot food out of the oven. The freezer was broke - toilet paper holders broke - remote controls missing the back to close off the batteries. The wood on the stairs all busted and missing a slate. The front door was pain to lock. Our whole group struggled with the lock to the house. The house needs some real TLC - it has a lot of potential. Like i said, we were a bit disappointed - but we had each other and had fun.

Family vacation

The location, the pool, the house was large enough, near the beach ,beautiful views, but it was not clean and no sheets for the pull out bed. Ants every where. We had to call for someone to clean the garage. ?

Will come again!

Overall this house was great. Lovely place with lots of amenities. The only issue we had was the gas grill. I called ahead of time to confirm it was working, they assured me it was but just rusted from the salt air. It's a little more than some surface rust... it needs to be replaced. The igniter doesn't work either so you have to light it manually. So yes it worked, but it was less than ideal. Also, we had to go get some more propane gas for it. The pool was great, but there's an big ant problem. They don't bite, but they're everywhere. I didn't know much about the beach before coming; it's probably worth a google if you're also unfamiliar. You can drive on it, which is cool, but it's a bit of a highway. If you have young kids you just need to keep them away from the inland-side where the cars are driving by. We were there for the 4th of July, and there were tons of people doing fireworks on the beach that night. We thought it was pretty fun, but it might not be the vibe everyone is looking for. It's just not as quiet and private as I initially thought it would be, even though we still had a great time. (I'm specifically referring to the beach. The house/pool was nice and quiet.) It also was probably more crowded because of the holiday weekend though. We'd definitely come back!

Family Vacation

We enjoyed our stay at this property. Three rooms are located on the second floor and the third floor has the living room, kitchen, washer and dryer, and master bedroom. Some of the older people in our group had to take their time going up the stairs. The pool and beach were within walking distance. Everybody in our party had enough space and comfort. The balcony was nice and the views were very relaxing. We will definitely keep this place in mind for our next beach vacation!

Great stay

This was our 3rd time to stay at this property. We really enjoyed it! The check in time was moved further out to 4pm and the check out time was moved from 12pm to 10 am. I know that cleaning has to take place but I feel that it's not worth losing out on nearly a whole day's worth. There was still sand in the showers that wasn't cleaned out. As a side note, one of the main attractions is the pool and unfortunately the pool was without exaggeration, disgusting. Ultimately, the property lived up to expectations and we really enjoyed staying again!

WOW

This home is everything we expected and more. We were the only ones in the community and had pool to ourselves. The home is well kept and clean. We weren’t however able to use the grill, it wasn’t clean And could use an automatic drip coffee maker and more dish towels. All in all it was a wonderful stay and beautiful view. Thank you for providing us with this adventure!

Cake by the Ocean Beach House

Beautiful home with great view of the pool and the ocean. Has lots of windows, wrap-around balconies and lots of amenities. Wish the weather had been warmer to enjoy the pool and the beach, but we will be back!

Beautiful house but not very well kept

The good- Excellent location Soft-close drawers Gorgeous pool and fire pit area (although too cold to use) Property management responded quickly to my messages We rented a golf cart and the path to the beach was nice! The bad- I notified the property manager that the dryer was broken the first night of our stay but it was never fixed because they couldn’t get ahold of the local management. Super inconvenient for a beach house to not have a working dryer, especially after we washed a load of clothes. Don’t plan on using the grill, it is filthy. We covered it in foil and tried to use it but it also didn’t heat very well The fake plants in the windows were covered in cobwebs The fan blades were filthy, I didn’t want to turn them on and dust fly everywhere. Air intakes super dirty too. Garbage disposal barely worked. The outside trash bins were full of other people’s trash and weren’t emptied our entire stay. We ended up stacking trash bags in the garage. No bath mats Door knobs falling off Broken chair at the island This place would be great if it were better taken care of. I’m curious how long the dryer has been broken and how they clean the sheets.

We loved this house and will come back next year. Beautiful home with plenty of room. The beach, a pool and plenty of space. I do not believe there is any other place on Galveston or Bolivar like this.
